Winter POV

Kai looks so handsome as we go upstairs to our hotel room. He’s been chivalrous the entire night and I know the whole debacle with that b***h Candice isn’t his fault. No one could have anticipated her being there. I hadn’t even given a thought to that woman since she’d been broken up with by Kai. She was like a thorn in the side though, and I would have to keep a careful eye on her. I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her. She’s up to something, I can sense it. We walk back into the bedroom and I see the sheets have been changed, Kai almost shoving me into bed, taking the towel off and placing bedcovers over me as he gets in the other side.

My eyelids are drooping. God, I’m exhausted but I still smile to myself. Tonight was perfect. Kai was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything better when it came to my first time. My eyelids flutter closed as Kai gathers me in his arms, snuggling against me, his head tucked into my shoulder as I begin to fall asleep.

The last thing I hear before I pass out completely, to my shock, are the words that Kai whispers in my ear “I love you.”
