The Apple of My Eye
Chapter 1711 Survival

"Alright! I'm on my way now, Master." The man looked at Rex and immediately left the house.

Even though the man had already left, Rex couldn't help but think for a long time. He began to shape his ideas and immediately went to the company. At Holley's home

Holley's body was aching. Even her bones were in pain, and her muscles were sore as if she was going to break into pieces.

"Good morning, honey! What do you want to eat? I am going to prepare it," Black said in a gentle voice. He and Holley woke up almost at the same time.

When Holley heard his voice, she felt nothing but regret.

"What's wrong, Holley?" Black tried to look at her face to see what was wrong.

"It was nothing. Plus, I'm not hungry, so you can leave now." There was coldness in her tone. Her gentle voice was now gone.

Black started to become confused because she acted so differently. He thought that sleep couldn't turn a person into someone different.

He was so shocked, so he just stared at her. He was so numb that he didn't even stand up to leave. But when Holley saw him, it made her even more displeased. "Are you deaf? Or are you just too stupid to understand my words?"

When he saw that Holley was annoyed, Black raised up his hands to surrender. He said, "Okay. I'll leave now. But won't you tell me what the hell is going on?"

"It is nothing. I don't like you anymore, Black. It was just an impulse to have sex with you. Please, leave now!" Holley spread her hands as if she didn't want to see Black anymore. She acted as if it was a huge humiliation to have had sex with him.

"Why do you keep on saying that, Holley? Do you think I'll believe you? We just had sex." It seemed that Black didn't care about what Holley was talking about. He was convinced that Holley was still in love with him. She must have some reason to lie to him. She asked him to leave because of some reason that she couldn't tell him.

His words enlightened Holley. She realized that she needed to change her attitude. They had just had sex. He wouldn't believe what she said, no matter how coldly she behaved.

She was left with no choice so she just pulled her eyebrows together. She said, "I'm tired. I want to get some rest. Will you leave?"

"Fine. I will leave now. But how about Jason?" At that moment, Black brought up Jason on a purpose.

He kept on asking questions that were related to Jason. Black knew that he wouldn't allow any other man to get close to Holley. But he had to know what her plan was.

"It's none of your business. I'll handle it. Leave now! I'm exhausted." Holley was losing her temper.

Black was convinced that he needed to leave soon. Holley was starting to become more irritated. He wanted to stop that so he left.

But Black already had another idea. He wouldn't let anyone to hurt the woman that he loved. No one!

Black walked out of Holley's apartment and waited downstairs for a long time before he left. He thought long and hard. He knew that he needed to do something. He would do anything for her, even if it cost him his life.

When Black had left, Holley couldn't help but collapse into her bed. She didn't expect anything that had happened. This put her into an even bigger mess.

She wondered if Jason was still alive. When she was still hesitating to go visit him in the hospital, she heard her phone ring.

Holley started to shiver when she saw that it was Ferry's name on the caller ID.

She knew exactly the reason why Ferry was calling her. If she was not mistaken, it would be about Jason. So she took a deep breath and answered the phone. "You know what? I can't understand why Black likes you so much. You're the one I abandoned. Did you give him drugs?" Ferry asked with mockery in his tone. Ferry's words made Holley stop. She couldn't say a word.

"Or is it because I treat you too well? It seems that you don't want to break up with Black," Ferry kept on mocking her.

Holley's throat tightened when she heard Ferry's voice. She immediately explained, "It was just an accident. It's not what you think. I didn't expect Black to be there." "What? You didn't expect? Jason is in a bad condition right now. Do you know that, huh?" Ferry's voice no longer sounded playful. Holley could hear a threatening tone in his voice. "I'm on my way to the hospital. I'll pay his hospital bill," Holley said in a nervous tone.

"Do you think that's enough to make him recover?" Ferry suddenly raised his voice.

Holley couldn't help but shiver. Her heart instantly beat faster. She remained silent as she waited for Ferry's reply.

"Holley, don't you know me so well? I will always have revenge. Black beat my man, and I won't let him go!" Ferry said in a cold voice.

There was pure coldness in Ferry's voice. Holley felt like she was in a water pool full of ice. She couldn't escape, no matter how hard she tried. She felt like she was drowning.

The moment passed, and Holley was sobbing when she said, "I beg you, Ferry. It was not my intention to do that. Please, don't hurt Black. Please, let him go."

Holley burst into tears. Ferry could hear clearly how scared she was. He suddenly had an idea.

To kill Holley was a piece of cake for Ferry. But he decided that it would be funnier to make her live in fear every single day.

"So you want me to let go of Black?" Ferry quickly asked.

"Yes. I will do anything, as long as you let go of him. Please." In fact, Holley nodded her head in affirmation. Even though Ferry couldn't see her, she had to let him know her determination. "Alright. I want you to become a prostitute," Ferry said in a lazy tone as if he was joking. He lightly sat back on his couch as he was talking to Holley.

Holley felt then that he was serious. Eventually, her body quivered. She held the phone and remained motionless.

"Why can't you do that? I remember that you just told me that you would do anything for him. Look at you. Just a few seconds later, you'll break your word." Ferry smiled in mockery.

"Is it really necessary? Don't you even treat me as your pawn?" Suddenly, it came to Holley's mind that she was worse than a pig or a dog in Ferry's eyes.

Holley just kept on yielding. It was her way to survive. She gave him an inch, but he would always take a mile, which made her rather want to be dead. She believed the saying, "Better to be a living dog than a dead lion." Since she grew up and became sensible, she knew that she had to live. Even if she had to live humbly, she didn't want to lose her life!
