Chapter 535

Brittany was wrapped in a warm embrace, but before Isaac could react, he was shoved away.

'Don't touch me!"

Brittany frowned in disgust. She had no idea what was going on in Isaac's mind. How could someone act affectionately in front of her and then do something so unacceptable behind her?

Isaac looked rather sour. He saw William standing not too far away.

And the thought of her tacitly accepting their cohabitation made his expression even more grim.

"Bri, Zac, what's going on here?"

Relieved at the sight of William, Brittany quickly moved beside him, "William, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be working?"

Seeing that she was safe, William shielded her behind him, 'Zac, why are you here?"

Their interaction was rubbing Isaac the wrong way. He clenched his fists, breathing heavily, "She is my wife! What do you think I'm here for?"

Brittany ignored him completely. Her eyes were on William only.

The thought of what Grace had said about Brittany possibly moving on with her new life, a life without him, hit him like a punch in the gut. He couldn't bear to confirm whether it was true or not. He quickly got in his car and drove away, like he was running away from a nightmare.

Seeing him leave, Brittany turned to William and said, "William, I'm sorry for the trouble."

William shook his head with a smile. He picked up the shopping bags on the ground, "He seems to have misunderstood."

"It's okay"

Brittany wanted to help him with the bags, but William refused, "Br, I'm perfectly fine. These aren't too heavy for me. You don't need to treat me with kid gloves." Brittany's feelings for him were not love but guilt

He knew it, but he couldn't let go.

Brittany realized that the more she tiptoed around him, the worse it made him feel. She let out a sigh of relief, like she was finally able to let go of a burden. "William, I'm sorry. I won't be like this anymore."

"Lets go."

William signaled, "I need to go home tonight, so I might not be able to accompany you."

"Sure. Please say hi to Mrs. Dillion for me."

Isaac drove straight to his old haunt, the bar.

Upon seeing Isaac, the barkeeper immediately served him the finest liquor and had a few bouncers stationed outside to prevent anyone from disturbing him.

"Take care of Mr. Salter."

The barkeeper glanced at the bouncers, then pulled out his phone to call Wesley Tueley, "Mr. Tueley, Mr. Salter is here drinking again. Do you want to come and check up on him?" During the time when Brittany had just left, Isaac spent his days dealing with Manuel Salter and his nights in this bar.

He would get plastered every night, but at the break of dawn, he would always manage to shake off the effects of alcohol and -transformò back into the untouchable Mr. Salter. After Brittany returned, Wesley was surprised to replace Isaac still drinking there. He pushed away the woman in his arms and said, "Understood."

The woman, dressed in a black slip dress and bright lipstick, was elegant and tempting

"Mr. Tueley, you're going out this late?"

The woman was a bit miffed at being pushed away.

She'd been with Wesley for half a year. He was good to her, but they'd never been intimate or kissed.

She'd heard rumors of Wesley being a playboy, always surrounded by women.... She'd worked hard to get to him, but he'd never laid a

finger on her. She even wondered if he was impotent.

Wesley straightened his clothes and dropped a bank card on the table before leaving, "From now on, don't deceive people in the circle with her name anymore."

Who was she?
