Chapter 225: HER ATTENTION

Harry looked down at the little hand holding his and the small figure walking in front of himm and felt itchy suddenly. He bet that she was soft as a puddle and felt an urge to wrap his arm around her.

"I have never seen such shamelessness, so I might have said a few words. I am sorry for interfering," she said when they walked in. Harry looked down at the hand she had let go of, feeling slightly empty. Mark and Ethan wanted to ask if what she said could be considered a few words, but they held their tongues.

"We are going to sleep, then." Mark pulled Ethan away, leaving Harry and Lydia alone. After talking so much, Lydia felt hungry, so she walked over to the kitchen. She saw the bag she had brought with her by the chair and recalled that she had had some barbecue on the way, so she hurried over to take it out. She put it in the microwave and started going through the kitchen cabinets. She noticed that there were some noodles, and she looked to Harry, who had taken a seat at the counter, silently watching her. "Will you eat some noodles?" she asked, and he nodded.

"Ask Mark and Ethan if they would like to eat," she instructed, and he took out his phone and texted them. They soon replied that they would without stepping out of the room.

"They also want some," he answered, and she nodded.

"How is your family planning to deal with the cheater and his mistress?" she asked, and he noticed she was just having a conversation.

"My father will handle my uncle-in-law. He has a prenuptial agreement with my aunt. She is soft-hearted, so my father will probably separate them so that he does not get to meet her," he answered.

"You think she would forgive him?" she asked.

"My aunt is hard to figure out. She is so soft and easy with everyone; it makes people want to walk all over her," he said.

"But has anyone actually walked over her?" She asked, and he paused.

"Soft people are dangerous when pushed too far," she said, and hè nodded in agreement. Their conversation fizzled out, and Lydia concentrated on making a large batch of noodles, but there was hardly anything to do. Harry was obsessed with her every move. He watched her for so long, she became uncomfortable. Soon, the noodles were ready. She took a portion for herself and then divided it among the three of them. Harry tested his friends to come get their bowls of noodles, and Mark emerged to get his. Lydia gave them some barbecue, and he placed them all on a tray and left with some drinks. When he got to the door of his room, he paused and looked back at them.

Chapter 225 HER ATTENTION

"Sister-in-law, you are trending on the school forum. You should check it out," he said before entering the room. Lydia suddenly recalled that Ethel and Cindy had said that they had seen something on the school forum. She scrambled for her phone, logged onto the forum, and almost cussed. She would have avoided drama all her life, which was a trending topic next to Harry Madison.

"I thought it was just gossip, but someone took a video?" She bit her lip as she started pacing. Harry walked over to where she was and took the phone from her. He saw the video and the comments and raised a brow. The comments were not as negative as he had thought, except that everyone knew about them. He also recalled that his sister had an account on the forum

where she had bought off someone to enjoy gossip from his university. She was the one who had helped his grandmother make an edit of him and circulate it on the school's internet. They slowly gathered fans for him till he gathered a cult following, and his life became something out of a pop idol reality show. He had anticipated that Lydia would face attacks, but it appears that her attack power oddly refreshed them. What bothered him was her reaction. "Your noodles will get cold, he said, sliding the bowl of noodles closer to her.

"How can I have the time to eat? Everyone is saying, "I am your girlfriend; does it not bother you?" She asked, and his eyes darkened slightly as he grabbed her arm, pulled her back to the counter, and helped her to her seat. He placed her bowl of noodles before her before taking a seat next to her.

"No, it doesn't bother me," he said. "Does it bother you that you are being called my girlfriend?" His question caused her to pause with a fork on the way to her mouth. Something about what he said did not feel right, but she could not put her finger on it. "What do you mean? We are not dating!" She corrected him.

"It sounds to me as though you don't want to be associated with me," he said, and she

frowned.

"When did I say that?" she asked.

"What is wrong with being assumed to be your boyfriend?" he asked, and she paused. She became uncomfortable and was immediately made to leave. She took her bowl of noodles and got up, but panic filled him. He grabbed her hand and dragged her back to his side. "Let us talk," he said. "We are already the talk of the town. Isn't it time we talk?" he asked. Of course, they knew they were going to have to talk at some point. They needed to decide what they were going to say about them if it came up, but she had a feeling he wanted to talk about more than that, and this worried her. She was not sure what she was afraid of.

"Eat first," he said, pulling her back to her seat to finish her noodles. From then on, they ate in silence. She fixed her eyes on her bowl, not daring to look up at him, but all through, she could see his eyes on her. When she was done, he took both their plates and walked over to the sink to clean them. When he was done, she cleaned his hand and walked over to Lydia, took

her hand, and led her into one of the rooms,

When inside the room, both of them stood still, and Harry stared right at her, saying nothing. As time passed, Lydia became more uncomfortable,

"What are we going to say?" she asked without looking at him.

"You have already admitted to being my girlfriend; there is no turning back now," he said, and she looked up at him sharply.

"When did I do that?" she asked.

"The video is already circulating, but you wish to deny it?" he asked.

"I" she started to say.

"Do you dislike me?" he asked, and she shook her head, not daring to look at him any longer.

"Would it be so bad to be dating me?" he asked.

"That is not the problem," she countered, this time staring him in the eyes.

"You are finally looking at me," he said, stepping closer. "I have been waiting for you to look

at me all night; really look at me." She suddenly found that they were too close to each other.

"What do you want, Harry?" She asked, and his hands snuck around her waist.

"Do you really not know what I want?" His voice sounded so low, vibrating into her chest.

"I don't read minds," Lydia said. She was half in denial, and the rest indignant. She wanted to hear him say it out loud. "What do you want, Harry?"

"You, I want you," he said, pulling her closer to himself. "I want to hold you; I want you to look at me; I want to hear you say my name.'
