The Ceo's Contracted Mistress
The Ceo’s Contracted Mistress Chapter 60

Bobbie followed Olivier into the house. They had been the first ones to leave and had Max and Ollie with them in their golf cart. Olivier hoisted Bobbie up in his arms and carried her over the threshold of the house and the kids squealed with laughter and demanded he do the same for them.

He swept Ollie up his arms and jumped her over the threshold and kissed her cheek noisily telling her how beautiful she was in her suit. Then he did the same with Max who complained about being put down.

They stepped to the patio and the first thing Bobbie noticed was how it had been transformed. While it was always pretty in the covered patio the entire area was decorated in fairy twinkle lights. There were long tables covered in white cloths with huge bouquets of red roses placed every few feet on the tables. The table was set with gold and white dinnerware and twinkling lights were nestled in glass bowls between the centerpieces.

“Olivier, it’s beautiful.” Bobbie turned and put her hand against his chest and stood on tiptoes to k**s his cheek.

“Not near as beautiful as you,” he smiled down at her. “I cannot believe I get to call you, my wife.”

“Oh man, are you going to get mushy?” Ollie g*****d and flung herself into a chair.

“Yes!” Olivier said loudly and grabbed Bobbie and kissed her lips. “Maman is now my wife! It’s a special day.” He spun Bobbie around exuberantly and the kids laughed at his silliness.

The sound of other carts arriving on the driveway and then the excited laughter of their friends and family gathering through the house made Bobbie smile. They had arrived first so they could receive everyone as a family and Bobbie was excited for this part. It felt like an official welcome to the Villeneuve family and a joining of her family, the Hoffmans to Olivier’s.

“There she is!” Levi exclaimed, “my newest official daughter.” He wrapped her in a big hug lifting her off the floor and spinning her around, just as Olivier had done moments before and kissing her cheeks. “You look beautiful, and my mother was right about her dress. Why we doubt her I never know but you are an angel.” For all the wrong ways her relationship had started with her father-in-law, he was set on making it right and Bobbie felt loved in his embrace. He gave her one more big hug and a spin before setting her back on her feet.

“Me next!” Ollie demanded the same treatment from Levi, and he happily obliged twirling her and kissing her noisily. He hugged Max next who didn’t protest a bit at being danced around. Then Levi hugged Olivier tight, both men emotional as per usual, tears on both their faces as they whispered warm loving words in their native language. Their love brought Bobbie to tears again.

Meri squeezed past them to hug Bobbie and the kids, tears running freely down her cheeks. “Welcome officially to our family Bobbie. I mean you were always part of us from the minute we knew but somehow this seems more permanent.”

Bobbie froze when the booming loud voice with a thick southern drawl carried through the house. “Olivier! Where are they? You’ve made me wait long enough you snake! We had a deal, you crooked banker!”

Ollie giggled. “That’s the loud man. I heard him ask why a girl was wearing his suit. It was funny. I threw rose petals at him, and he frowned at me. He was very red out in the sun. I like him. He’s loud like me.”

“That’s my daddy,” Meri explained, “and he is loud and don’t let him bully you.”

“There she is!” Gael Moreno stepped into the patio larger than life, sweating profusely and wearing a Stetson hat so big Bobbie questioned if it had to have its own seat on the plane. “Bobbie! Let me look at you.” He grabbed her, yanked her towards him, and looked her up and down before hugging her tightly “you let me know if he does anything to make you upset and I’ll shoot him in the a*s. These Villeneuve men don’t know how to take care of a woman. They make them cry. They let them run away from home and don’t know how to apologize and keep them safe. If he gives you trouble, you call me, and I will deal with him personally.” he pulled her in tight for another hug and Bobbie met Olivier’s amused glance over his shoulder. “Also, thank you for the male heir. It’s about damn time someone gave us another boy. Fiona’s knocked up again and I would bet my last dollar she’s going to give me another granddaughter to protect. Don’t get me wrong, I love all my girls, but boys are special. I can teach them to shoot guns and take over my business!” He was yammering on as he kept looking Bobbie over appreciatively. He looked to Olivier, “she is beautiful just as you said. Don’t screw it up, son or I’ll make you live to regret it. She’s the mother of your children. You keep her safe!” he pointed a sausage shaped finger at his grandson who only shook his head and rolled his eyes.

He let her go and moved to the kids, “why’s the girl wearing the suit? I brought it so Max could look like a real Texan in the wedding and yet you put it on the girl.”

“Because Max wanted to look like dad and I didn’t want to wear no itchy dress,” Ollie walked right up to him and extended her hand. “I’m Olivia but you can call me Ollie. You’re funny. I like you.”

Gael’s eyes twinkled at her boldness. Where the other little girls were hiding from him behind their mothers, this little one’s fire had her right back in his face and the adults could see the pride on Gael at Ollie’s bravado. He immediately challenged her, “Girls shouldn’t wear pants.”

“Says who?” Ollie tossed back at him before her father could correct the old man. “I can wear what I want. I’m going to fly airplanes someday and I’m not doing it a dress! If you want a dress, you wear it.”

“Girls shouldn’t try to be boys.”

“I’m not trying to be a boy. I’m a girl. I just don’t want to wear the itchy dress. I look beautiful in this suit. Can you tell my mom where you got it so she can buy me more?”

He nodded appreciatively at her and looked to Olivier, “this one has spunk.”

“Mom says I’m a handful,” Ollie grinned not backing down.

“Fly airplanes, huh?” he was still holding her hand and scowling down at her, but his eyes were dancing happily.

“Yes sir!” she nodded vigorously. “I’m going to rule the world so I need a jet to take me everywhere and I can’t rely on other people to do s**t for me.”

“Ollie, language!” Bobbie and Olivier said in unison.

“Fine, I can’t rely on other people to do my stuff. Better?” she asked her parents cheekily.

Gael threw his head back and roared with laughter. “She’s great! I like this one. Where’s Max?”

Max stepped forward, with far more reluctance than Ollie and extended his hand politely, “I am Max. Nice to meet you.”

“Are you going to run my business?” Gael looked at him. “Your father tells me you’re bloody brilliant. You have the brains to take it all over Max!”

Max shrugged, “how much does it pay?”

Bobbie turned her head into Olivier’s shoulder as she tried to stifle her laugh. Levi didn’t hide it as well and Olivier gave a loud guffaw.

“I’m rich Max. You could run my empire!”

“I don’t know. My dad is richer than you and I want to study sciences.” Max shot him down.

“You need to be good in sciences to run oil companies Max!” Gael puffed and ran his hand through his thin comb over.

“I will think about it,” Max made a face, “Timon was showing me the research he does for grandpapa’s business and it’s pretty interesting. Maybe I will work for him.”

Olivier gave his grandfather a slap on the shoulder, “Gael, you have many years left before he’s ready. Perhaps, he will never replace out how crooked and dirty you are and will agree.

“The only man in this room more crooked than me is a banker,” Gael threw at him, and Olivier laughed at him as he let his grandfather hug him and congratulate him on his marriage.

“Enough talk of business and dirty deeds,” a soft gentle voice spoke from behind Gael.

Meri stepped forward, “Mama, this is Bobbie, Max, and Ollie. This is my mama, Louisa “

Bobbie knew where Meri got her gentle blue eyes and blonde hair from as she regarded an older and smaller version of her mother-in-law. Louisa was a tiny waifish thing who could have fit in Gael’s pocket.

She kissed Bobbie’s cheeks warmly, “its so nice to meet you. I hope we get to see each other more. Olivier sneaks to see me when Gael is at work. Hopefully, he will bring you next time.” She gave a girlish giggle at Gael’s protests of clandestine meetings.

“Grandpa, you’re holding up the line!” Fiona called from behind them. “I need a drink. Only my nerd brother would want a late afternoon wedding in the field to roast us all alive. It had to be ninety-eight degrees out there!”

“Try wearing the monkey suits he put us all in!” Riggs called from behind her. “Damn fool had me in a tux in the equivalent to a horse pasture. I need a beer!”

Everyone trailed in, stopping to congratulate Bobbie and Olivier and the kids.

Dinner was loud and in Bobbie’s opinion, the highlight was the banter between Gael, Olivier, and Veronique. Veronique and Olivier took turns roasting the man, but he had very thick skin and gave it back as good as he got it. More than once, Bobbie caught him winking at her when they were verbally attacking him. He was thoroughly enjoying the rare occasion he got to be part of the entire family.

Bobbie was surprised to see how much Ollie gravitated to the man. Halfway through dinner she had climbed onto his lap to ask him if he could teach her how to fire a gun. He had protested girls didn’t do such things and she reminded him bluntly she wasn’t an ordinary girl. Ollie snuggled right into his round oversized paunch and had barely moved from him. He was even feeding her off his plate. The other kids all thought she was crazy from the strange looks they were giving her and even Olivier had frowned his disbelief at the strange connection they had formed.

Soon Olivier’s family were giving speeches and telling stories about him making the kids laugh. There was a lot of clanging spoons against glasses demanding the bride and groom k**s. The kids complained with each k**s and the adults cheered loudly. The food was divine, and the love and happiness floated around the dinner table.

Levi then stood up after dinner and walked away. “Olivier had a request. He wanted to have a dance with his bride and then after he wants the wedding couple to dance with the twins. He has picked out both songs so if you hate them Bobbie blame him. If you love them, it’s all my talent!” he held up his guitar and stepped to a microphone and stool she hadn’t even noticed being set up. “I had expected Olivier would make me play a jazzy tune but thankfully, he’s sticking to my wheelhouse of country songs.”

“Papa,” Olivier grinned, “I could give you a piece meant for piano written by a classical artist, and you would play it to perfection. Stop grandstanding and fishing for compliments.”

“You are fortunate it’s your wedding day, son, or I’d have to teach you a lesson and put you in the pool,” Levi teased back.

Olivier stood up from the table and extended his hand to Bobbie, “may I have this dance?”

Bobbie smiled and accepted his hand, and he led her to a small makeshift stage.

Levi spoke into the microphone, “this is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. Olivier has heard me sing this a million times to his mother so perhaps he was feeling sentimental when he selected it. It’s called I Cross My Heart and it was originally by George Strait. Let’s see if I can do it some justice.” He motioned to the floor, “ladies and gentlemen, your bride and groom and their first dance as a married couple.”

He began strumming his guitar as Olivier pulled Bobbie into his arms and gently waltzed her around as Levi started to croon the song. The words touched Bobbie’s heart and she couldn’t help the tears as Olivier sung along to every word, staring deep into her eyes.

As the song wound down, the entire Villeneuve family sang the last two bars, “In all the world you’ll never replace, a love as true as mine, A love as true as mine.”

Bobbie was openly weeping as Olivier placed a gentle k**s to her lips and then lifted her off the floor hugging her tight. She buried her face in his neck. “I love you.” She whispered through her tears.

“I love you,” he whispered back and set her on her feet with a peck to the lips.

Levi spoke into his microphone, “that was real pretty. Now, Olivier thought the kids would like something a little more fun to dance to. I need a drum beat so if my girls can keep time on the tabletops, I’m going to do a song I have danced to a hundred times or more, by Little Big Town called Kick a Little.”

Fiona and Elise immediately started tapping a beat on the tabletop and Meri, Walt and Timon all joined in. Bobbie giggled at how well in sync they were, clearly, they had done this many of times.

She went and collected Max, while Olivier pried Ollie from Gael’s grip after promising to return her back to the man when the song was ended.

The music was lively and fun as Bobbie and Olivier spun the kids around the floor laughing and eventually, the other kids wanted to dance too. Soon Levi was playing music continuously and Riggs had pulled a guitar from somewhere and joined him. Gael disappeared for several minutes and then came back with a banjo and things got even livelier.

Bobbie didn’t even notice when the tables had been cleared away and more room made to dance. Prue and Meri were dancing together and kicking up a storm and it was clear the time Meri had spent with Bobbie back at her home had allowed them to begin a beautiful friendship.

Veronique was drinking rum like it was nobody’s business and dancing to the beat of her own drum, occasionally spinning around under the arms of one of the men. She had even danced with Gael and there had been lots of laughs because though they were near the same height, they were an oddly matched pair.

Bobbie took a pause to grab her wine glass and fanned herself as she sweated from dancing so much.

“Are you having fun, chérie?” Olivier snuck up behind her and kissed her neck.

“This is an amazing day. I am so incredibly happy.” She turned in his arms as he wrapped his hands around her middle. “Thank you. Thank you for all of this. I will never forget this for as long as I live.” She sipped her wine.

“I will never forget looking down the aisle today and seeing you there, ready to walk to me. I don’t deserve you, Bobbie. I don’t think you know how much I worried this morning when I told you what I’d done. I was terrified we would fight on our wedding day.”

“We will fight on many days, Olivier,” she promised him, “but I know your intentions were good. I have no plans to reach out to his family. If you needed the medical information to make your heart, feel more secure, then I am okay with it. This,” she waved behind him,” this is our family. I don’t need anyone else, especially a man who had the morals my mother said he did. My mother was many things, Olivier, but she was never a liar. If she said she didn’t know he had a family at home, then he was well and truly a scoundrel. She was all the parent I ever needed back then. I feel blessed to be given this family around me, but I don’t need a biological connection from anyone else. I have you.” She touched his cheek, “I have you and our family. It is all I need.”

He exhaled at her words, “I adore you. You will never lack for love in this family.”

“I know.” She smiled. “I made a decision today.”

He immediately knew what she was referring to and gave her a smile. “Did you? I hear you saying this is all the family you need, Bobbie. I am okay with this. You need not explain anything more to me. You are enough for me, just as we are enough for you.”

She set her wine glass down on the table and pulled his head down to whisper in his ear, “I want to make our family grow. I want to have your baby again. I want to experience it all with you. I want to give you the full experience from start to finish. I want you there when they take their first breath. I want you there when they take first steps, say first words and with Ollie around, it might be curse words, but I want to do it all with you, at my side this time. Can we try?”

The sound of Grady yelling at them from the dance floor made her giggle

“Jesus, Bobbie, what the hell did you say to him to make him ugly cry? Can someone get the man tissues? This is worse than the video.”

Bobbie couldn’t see his face because he’d picked her up and had her tucked so tight into his neck as he openly wept at her words. She knew she had made him joyously happy with her decision.

“Did you break the nerd?” Fiona called out laughing.

“Oh my god, she did!” Elise yelled mockingly, “Bobbie broke the nerd on her first day of marriage. Someone needs to replace out how she did it so we can take notes.”

She was giggling hard at everyone’s teasing and then gave a yelp when he scooped her up into his arms, bridal style. “Hey, what are you doing?”

He waved behind him to the group, “have fun, everyone. My bride and I are going for our wedding night,” he was choked up, his laughter coupled with tears.

A collective applause at his antics made her blush as he raced through the house and carried her up the stairs to his bedroom. The sound of the locking door behind her as he set her on her feet, made her look up at him.

She put her palm over her mouth, “oh wow, you’re a wreck.”

He was still crying. “I have the room decorated romantically and all you see is me.” He spun her towards the bed, “I’m going to go wash up. Do not take this dress off without my help.”

Bobbie stared at the room, barely hearing his words as he disappeared into the bathroom. Candles flickering and dancing in the late night were the only source of light. A silver bucket of champagne was nestled near the bed. The bedding had been changed from the dark masculine ones she had gotten used to over the last several days to a pristine, white, fluffy duvet with red rose petals sprinkled over it. Soft jazz was playing in the background.

“Do you like it?” his voice carried from the bathroom door.

She looked over her shoulder at him with a smile. His jacket and tie had long been discarded and the white shirt was open at the collar. His face and hair glistened as if he’d just run water over his head and his eyes were fixed on her, dark and hungry. She shivered at the desire on his face.

“It’s perfect.” She assured him.

“Then it’s time.” He moved slowly and purposefully towards her.

“Time?” she questioned.

“To do the one thing I’ve been waiting too many years to do.”

“What is that?”

“Make love to my wife.”

Bobbie wondered if women nowadays still swooned because she felt her legs shift at his words.
