The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires -
Chapter 1566
When Calvin heard it, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow teasingly. "Dude, you've been crushing on Felicity that hard, huh?" Felicity shot him a glare in response.
But Calvin just shrugged it off with a chuckle. "Shall we head inside?" "Yeah."
Felicity took a couple of steps forward, then paused and turned slightly without looking back. "Think about it, do you really not love me? Maybe you're just not ready to let go because you're new to this whole love game. Sure, I might have been drama, always putting on a show, but you were the only one I ever cared for. Even after all these years in Anglonia, with all those guys chasing after me, I never gave any of them a chance. But you? You never once came to Anglonia to replace me. You just kept on with your life, working on your computer, keeping busy. Meanwhile, I was the one trapped in my own feelings."
She admitted to herself that it was her own fault, not holding any grudge against others.
But Esther's presence was like a mirror to her! It snapped Felicity back to reality every time she encountered it.
No one could understand the feeling of spending an hour doing makeup, dressing up in a wedding gown, planning to surprise Felicity like a scene out of a movie, only to replace no one there.
Wasn't that just like being a clown?
Felicity couldn't even bear to meet the eyes of the designers and staff around her.
She was afraid all she'd see was mockery.
The news of Esther's accident and her rush to the hospital only cemented Felicity's thoughts.
She wasn't enough to change Miles.
Not five years ago, not now.
No matter how far they went, Miles would continue with his life, priorities and rules first.
So, to Felicity, it was all pointless.
"Let's go back, even if you stayed, I wouldn't have anything more to say. I've said all there is."
Without hesitation, she walked in.
Calvin quickly followed, shutting the door behind them.
Inside and outside, it felt like two different worlds.
He wanted to crack a joke, to cheer Felicity up.
But then he saw it-
Tears were streaming down her face.
Felicity rarely cried.
Calvin remembered the last time she cried was two years ago on her birthday when her parents sent a video wishing her well. Watching it, she suddenly burst into tears on the sofa.
She said she wanted to go home but couldn't.
Back then, Calvin was curious why she couldn't.
Later, he learned she had been waiting in
Anglonia for someoneet

"Stop crying, you're already sick. Cry any more, and you might just pass out for good!"
Felicity glared at him with red eyes. "You're the one who's gonna pass out for good!"
"Alright, alright, we'll both go down together then!" Calvin walked over, patting her head. "Seriously, stop crying. You look terrible! If you really can't let go, let him in. I'll crash at a friend's place tonight, give you two a chance to talk."
"There's nothing left to say. I'm going to bed."
"Don't forget to wash up! You've cried yourself into a raccoon."
"I'll do as I please!"
Felicity muttered, heading to her room.
Her head was still throbbing, a nagging pain at the back of her neck.
After washing her face in the
bathroom, she hesitated but couldn't resist walking to the window, wanting to peek outside from behind the curtain-
Miles hadn't left. He was standing right where he had been before, motionless.
