The CEO's Lovely Twins
Chapter 249 I Am The One Who Asked For Our Break-Up

All the people in the Beckham family knew that Joseph did not like people joking about his relationship with Eleanor.

After all, Eleanor was only a thirteen-year-old kid who was so young. It was ridiculous for Joseph, who was the young master of the family, to call her "aunt".

Of course, Harrison knew this. That's why he deliberately teased him like that.

Eleanor sized Joseph up. Joseph was showing a gloomy face like an ancient well. He swallowed his saliva and said cautiously, "I think there's nothing wrong with Hayden coming here. She comes here just to cook for Noah. Noah is your only great-grandson. He is already in poor wealth. It is not worth it if he is starving because of this."

"You mean I must let Hayden come to my house?"

"Godfather, didn't you used to be quite like Hayden?"

Hearing her words, Harrison frowned. He was displeased and said, "That was last time. Who knows that she is not even divorced yet?"

Seeing that Harrison was about to get angry, Eleanor didn't dare to say anything more on this matter and she quickly said, "Then you can just think of it as we hire a new cook in the family. After all, our house is so big. If you don't want to see her, you can simply choose not to see her."

As she said that, she also glanced at Joseph and whispered, "Besides, I just heard that if you don't let her come here, then when she goes to my "eldest nephew's" house, you can't even control their actions."

Harrison turned serious.

He was reminded by Eleanor's words.

If he didn't let Hayden come there, then she would have to go directly to Joseph's house. Then he wouldn't be able to control their actions and something wrong might happen.

"Okay, that's it. Let her come here and cook during this weekend."

Harrison immediately changed his mind and agreed.

Harrison was a person who would never break his promise. As soon as he finished his words, Eleanor heaved out a sigh of relief. She looked up at Joseph and raised her eyebrows in triumph. Joseph didn't appreciate her kindness at all. He glared at her with his cold eyes until she was scared. She quickly made an excuse and left there.

The next day was Saturday.

Hayden took Stella back to the Beckhams' Mansion and the maids were all polite and courteous when they treated them.

After taking Hayden to the kitchen, the maid looked at Stella and said, "Ms. Downey, let me take Stella to play with Little Noah."

Before Hayden agreed, Stella grunted, "I don't want to play with him. I'll stay here with Mummy."

"But Little Noah has been waiting for you two for a long time. He had even prepared a present for you."

Stella pouted her lips.

"I don't want."

Seeing that the maids were still trying to persuade Stella, Hayden helplessly eased the tension in the air, "Alright. It won't take too long for me to finish cooking. The food will be ready in a while. I will take Stella away after I finish cooking. No need to take her away."

She didn't intend to stay there any longer. After all, her status was quite embarrassing now. If it wasn't for Noah, she wouldn't have come here.

While Hayden was cooking, Stella took a small bench and sat on the side. Hayden washed a tomato for her. She ate it leisurely, and her face was stained with the pinky tomato. She spoke vaguely to Hayden. "Mummy, hurry up. Let' go eat fried chicken when you've done cooking, okay?"

"Yes," Hayden replied to her helplessly.

The time taken for Hayden to finish cooking was very short, as the ingredients were all readily available. The cook in the Beckham family had cleaned all the chicken, duck, fish, and meat, so all she needed to do was to add the ingredients into the pot. The aroma of hot oil bursting up filled the whole kitchen and it could be smelled even outside the kitchen.

The place where Harrison stayed was very far away from the kitchen. The housekeeper called Harrison out at the door, "Sir, the cook is here."

"Come in."

Harrison was practicing calligraphy. He knew how to write calligraphy characters very well.

"Is she here?"

"Yes." The cook quickly replied to her, "Ms. Downey brought her daughter with her. At first, I asked her for her permission to take away her daughter from her and I would take her daughter to the place where Little Noah lives to play with him for a while. However, her daughter doesn't want to play with Little Noah and both of them are staying inside the kitchen."

"She is trying to be a smartass." Harrison grunted, "Does she think that this will make Joseph and Noah take the initiative to replace her? When we eat later, bring them to the dining room in the side yard, so they won't be joining us."

"But Ms. Downey said she will leave after she finishes cooking."

The cook looked at Harrison cautiously, "She'll come back to cook before diner. She probably doesn't plan to stay here all day."

Harrison furrowed his eyebrows. He was a little annoyed.

The housekeeper noticed that and asked the cook to leave there first.

"Sir, I don't think Ms. Downey is a whore. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding in this matter?"

Harrison was displeased, "Why are you also starting to help her? What did Joseph tell you?"

"No." The housekeeper shook his head, "If you're not really sure, why don't you go and have a look?"

"Go and have a look?"

Harrison looked at the housekeeper as if he wanted to ask the housekeeper a few questions. After a while, he put down his pen and walked out of his desk with his hand behind his back. "Come, let's go and have a look."

The kitchen was full of the aroma of smoke and fire. The dishes were done by Hayden and she covered them with the insulation cover. Hayden wiped her hands and untied her apron, "Stella, let's go." "Okay."

Stella bounced up from the small bench and jumped into Hayden's arms instantly.

"Hey, there is a strong smell of smoke on my body, and you don't mind."

"Stella doesn't mind about that as you are my mummy."

Before finishing her words, Stella rubbed against Hayden's arms again, "Let's go mummy, I want to eat honey-flavored fried chicken."

"Eat as much as you want."

With that, Hayden held Stella's hand and walked out of the kitchen.

Before they reached the door of the courtyard, they were greeted by a familiar figure. It was Harrison. He looked hale and hearty, walking towards them.

"Old... Mr. Beckham." Hayden changed her way of greeting Harrison. She looked calm.

Harrison let out an "um" sound. He glanced towards the dishes behind her and asked her, "Are the dishes ready?"

"It's ready. I prepared the soup and three courses. They are all Noah's favourite food."

"In fact, you are not the first person who tries to approach the Beckham family with Noah, but you are indeed the first person who makes Noah rely on you so much. However, you forget that I am still the boss of the Beckham family now. I will not allow such unreasonable things to happen to my only grandson."

Harrison said his words bluntly. Hayden held her daughter's hand and said calmly, "I think Mr. Beckham may have misunderstood something. Joseph and I have already broken up. I don't have any plans to be with him. As for Noah, it's just that we have a special fate to meet each other. He is also Stella's good friend. Therefore, it's not a big deal for me to prepare two meals for Noah."

"You really don't have any plans to be with him?"

"Did you misunderstand something?" Hayden frowned.

"It's not a must that everyone wants to be with him. Joseph and I really aren't suited to each other. Even if you tried your best to make us together, I won't consider being with him. Moreover, perhaps you don't know, I am the one who asked for our break-up.
