Annie looked at Noelle in surprise, not expecting Noelle to figure it out. Noelle smiled. "Since we've put our differences aside, let me tell you something else."

Annie looked at Noelle. "What is it?"

"When we were in school, did you receive a love letter? You thought it was from Yevgen, but later, Yevgen told you it was meant for me."

Annie's face showed signs of irritation. Although she had decided to make peace with Noelle, bringing up this incident was like a slap in her face.

Seeing Annie's irritated expression, Noelle smirked slightly. "I never bothered to explain before, but since it has always bothered you, I should tell you.

"That letter was indeed written for me, but I never saw it. Yevgen later explained that he gave it to Winter to pass on to me. As for why it ended up on your desk... Well, Annie, you're smart. You must've figured it out by now."

Seeing that Annie was standing there in a daze, Noelle shook her head slightly and turned to leave.

Annie called out to her, "Winter's wedding is the day after tomorrow. Are you going?"

Noelle straightened up and turned to face Annie. "Why wouldn't I go?"

"But the man she's marrying was your boyfriend. Don't you hate them? Don't you want to take him back?"

Surprise flickered in Noelle's eyes before she smiled. "No, I don't. A smart person doesn't dwell on the past. Besides, I've realized over time that Winter and Xavier are better suited for each other."

Annie had not expected Noelle to say this and looked at her with astonishment.

"Noelle, why are you with this woman?!"

Rowena and Teresa arrived just then. They spotted Noelle and Annie standing at the café's entrance.

Rowena eyed Annie warily. "Annie, it seems you haven't learned your lesson. Are you looking for more trouble?"

Annie's expression changed slightly as she met Rowena's gaze. "What do you mean, Rowena?"

"You know exactly what I mean. I'm warning you, if you do anything else to harm Noelle, I'll be the first to come after you."

"Enough!" Noelle interrupted Rowena. "Annie didn't do anything. We just ran into each other and had a brief chat."

She tugged Rowena along and signaled to Teresa. Teresa quickly added, Look, with the three of us here, she can't do anything. Let's go. Weren't we planning to go shopping?"

Rowena calmed down slightly but still glared at Annie.

Noelle glanced at Annie. "Ms. Adams, now that we've cleared things up, I hope we can leave things in the past. Your issues with Winter have nothing to do with me.

Noelle led Rowena and Teresa away. Annie stood there for a while, staring at her shoes until Cindy called her. Then, she left the mall.

As Noelle pulled Rowena away, Rowena grumbled, "What's there to talk about with Annie? She and Winter are two peas in a pod. If you hadn't stopped me, I would've taught her a lesson."

Noelle soothed the fiery Rowena, "Alright now. She really didn't do anything to me."

Then, Noelle explained what had happened, leaving Rowena and Teresa stunned. "She really said that?"
