Holding Winter's hand, Annie said, "Winter, I hope you and Xavier stay together forever and never ever grow apart."

"Thank you!" Winter felt something was off about Annie but could not quite figure it out. Maybe it was just her frightening face. "Annie, I'm really sorry about what happened. Noelle is my sister, but I never thought she'd do something like this to you. I don't expect you to forgive her, but today's my wedding day. If Noelle shows up, please don't give her a hard time. I'm begging you!"

"Don't worry!" Annie quickly reached out to Winter. "I promise I won't bother Noelle today. Don't let my problems come between you and your sister. I'm not that important."

"Uh... You two can continue chatting. I'm going to welcome the guests." Jade could not stand being there any longer. Annie might be Winter's friend, but her face was so frightening to look at. Winter felt the same way. She never expected Annie to show up looking so terrifying.

Once Jade was gone, Winter went to fix her makeup. Annie watched from a short distance away. Seeing Winter look as pretty as a princess made her feel even more resentful. She subconsciously touched her cheek.

The scars were Noelle's doing, but it was all because of Winter. However, Winter was blaming everything on Noelle.

Annie had been naive before, but she would not be fooled again.

Annie walked up to Winter, gazing at her with a mix of admiration and jealousy. "Winter, you look so beautiful. I heard your new movie starts shooting right after your wedding. I'm so jealous. After your wedding, I'll be away for a bit, but when I get back, I'll be sure to watch your TV shows and movies."

Winter paused while applying her makeup, then nodded in response to Annie's words. "Yay!"

"Here. I got you a present!" Annie exclaimed, pulling a gift box from her purse and giving it to Winter. She opened it and gasped. "Wow! This is so fancy!" Inside was a string of sparkling crystal beads.

Winter was smitten at first glance. "It's absolutely gorgeous. Annie, thank you so much!"

"Don't mention it. Go ahead and try it on. I didn't have much to give, so consider this your wedding present."

"Thanks!"

When Winter put on the necklace, Annie's eyes turned a shade colder, but she kept her smile.

After leaving the backstage area, Annie slipped on some sunglasses and let her hair down, which covered most of her face. She had touched up her makeup in the bathroom, covering her scars a bit so they would not look as scary.

Noelle was dragging her feet at home. Honestly, she would rather not go to Winter's wedding at all. However she knew that if she skipped it, Winter would replace ways to bug her. She decided to go and see what Winter would try to pull this time.

She picked out a simple white dress that looked elegant and fit her perfectly.

In front of the mirror, Noelle tied her hair back and put on a bit of makeup. She looked effortlessly beautiful.

Charles stepped out of the coatroom and he spotted Noelle trying on a pair of shoes right away. He was casually holding a tie, but when he saw her, he froze, unable to tear his eyes away.
