Noelle giggled and gently pushed Charles away. "Okay, it's getting late." She checked the time. "But I'm not going with you!" Charles squinted. "Oh?"

"You forgot. Only Grandpa and a few others know we're married. If we arrive at Winter's wedding together, it'll raise eyebrows!" Noelle explained. Noticing Charles's frown, she knew he did not like the idea, so she stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth.

Charles's eyes grew more intense as he pulled Noelle closer and kissed her deeply before she could even catch her breath.

Swept up in the moment, Noelle kissed him back. It was hard for them to let go of each other. After a moment, Noelle stepped back, her lips slightly pursed to catch her breath.

Charles noticed her smudged lipstick, and his gaze grew even warmer.

Noelle knew Charles well enough by now. She stepped back, playfully scolding, "We've got things to do today. Let's keep it professional!"

She applied her lipstick once more and grabbed a cozy shawl. It was getting cold outside, and everyone was bundled up. Even Noelle, who usually stood out from the crowd, had to acquiesce to the cold.

"Okay, I get it. You're not thrilled.

How about this? We'll just drop by

for a little while, then we can have movie night all to ourselves!" Noelle said as she fixed Charles's tie,

looking closely at his chest, "wel.ne

got to keep your identity under

wraps for now. I know you're not keen on it, but it's just to Reep you

out of trouble."

"Alright." Charles softened his gaze. "I understand." He was not mad at her for not introducing him around. He just did not want to spend time with people who did not matter, especially not Winter's type of people.

Noelle was set on going, and

Charles did not want to hold her back. However, the thought of Winter messing with Noelle made him frown. Noelle caught his hand and gave it a reassuring pat. "know you're not in the best mood. How about I drive you there in your car?"

"No need," Charles said gently, caressing Noelle's cheek. "You should do what you want to do. Don't worry about me."

Noelle's smile grew warmer. "I don't really want to do anything special, but Winter is my sister. I can't just skip her wedding. If she notices I'm not there, it won't look good. But don't worry, she really can't do anything to me!"

They left the Phoenix Tree

Residence. Noelle was behind the

wheel of a shiny red Ferrari, a gift from Charles. She wore a white

dress that made her stand out in the flashy car, which was a bit unusual for her. Charles gently patted Noelle's head and said, "You go ahead. I'll be right there!"

"Sure!" Noelle slammed the accelerator down and zoomed off. Charles watched her until she was out of sight. Then, his smile disappeared as he called Sean. "Where are you?"

"Charles, that's not fair. Why do I have to go? I don't even know them!" Sean complained as he was getting dressed. "And what's this secret deal with Bob? He was supposed to go, but he somehow convinced me to take his place. You know we don't mix well!"
