Chapter 362

Charles was Sebastian's student, and Sebastian trusted him completely. However, when it came to Noelle's happiness, he had to think about everything. "Sir Shaw is right," he said. "Until you two have your wedding, us old folks won't be able to relax!"

Noelle shook her head, looking at Charle or help. However, Charles just looked back at her, his eyes asking for an answer. Noelle bit her lip, feeling overwhelmed. "Grandpa, Granddad," Noelle had tried to explain this before. "Charles and I don't really need a big wedding. We..."

"Grandpa, Granddad!" Charles finally spoke up, not wanting to see Noelle struggle. He gently placed his hands over hers and said, "Noelle and I will have our wedding soon, and we'll make sure everyone knows she's my wife. However, before that, Noelle has some things to sort out. I'll help her with what I can, but there are some things she has to do on her own."

Charles spoke with confidence, not too humble or too proud, even though he was talking to his elders, Samuel and Sebastian.

"Promises can mean whatever the person who makes them wants them to mean. I won't make them carelessly, but I'll prove with my actions that Noelle made the right choice in marrying me. Noelle has her burdens, and as her husband, it's my job to shoulder them too. If she's not ready for something, I'll respect that."

Noelle was surprised and looked up at Charles, her eyes shining with thanks.

She understood why her grandpa and granddad were worried about her marrying Charles. She also knew Charles wanted to tell everyone about their relationship, but he was being considerate of her feelings.

Noelle gently placed her hand on top of Charles's, smiling and saying." Charles, thank you!"

Samuel and Sebastian were caught off guard by Charles's words. They both shook their heads and said, "Well, we're old, and you young people have your own way of thinking. We can't you what to do. But Charles, you have to be good to Noelle. She's got a big heart and doesn't always show it when she's upset, but that doesn't mean others won't get upset for her. Do you get what we're saying?"

Charles nodded. "I get it, Grandpa, Granddad. Don't worry, I'll always protect Noelle and won't let anyone hurt her."

"That's what we like to hear!"

"Hey, lighten up, will you guys? Look at yourselves-I'm the one in the relationship, but I haven't even made a fuss yet!" Noelle noticed the three men were getting pretty tense, so she quickly chimed in," Grandpa, Granddad, give it some time. Once Charles and I are more settled, we'll have a big wedding, okay? Noelle refilled the two

grandfathers' coffee. "Today's my sister's big day. Aren't you two going to go out and see?"

"Hmph, go out and see? They probably don't even want to lay eyes on us two grumpy old men. They're worried we'll spoil their fun!" Sebastian grumbled. He knew his daughter too well. "We'll head out later. It's better than getting all worked up."
