The Deadly Alpha
Chapter 12 -12-

To say I was tired would be the understatement of a century; I was beyond fucked up, my legs werefilled with scratches, my hair saggy with sweat and my wolf was beaten by the talented trainer.

"You should focus more on your hind legs and do more practice to enhance your wolf abilities aswell as yours." The green fields stretched along the pack territory and the other dead wolves fieldwas on the border of the pack, the weather was humid and I couldn't wait to take a shower.

We can take a shower with our mate and let him mark us. Lace heatedly suggested and I let thatthought cross my mind for a second. Our mate came to us, bare-chested and jeans hung low on hiships. He was mouth watering; sweat glistened under the sun on his chest, making him bronze incolor and his sculpted features grinned at me in a warm glow of the light.

He caught us checking him out as he raised his eyes into mine in amusement, I fidgeted when hecame.

"Had a good practice?" He asked and I groaned out a yes, my muscles were aching and I never hadto train before so it took a whole lot of time to get used to that.

He chuckled as he hugged me and his sweat meshed on my body, I let out a gasp in disgust as Ishoved him back playfully and he was let back laughing, my shirt was all in his sweat.

"When will the battle start?” I opened an even serious topic and his face changed from playful tostrict mode.

"At seven pm, it's almost three pm and we have a lot more training to do so clean yourself up andjoin the other women into the safe house.” He instructed and I grew uneasy, the thought that I wasgoing to defy his rules again and his reaction to that made me hesitant.

We have to protect our mate. Lace reasoned and I agreed, he could be angrier but we were willingto take the risk for that. We had to stop it before more got killed.

I went into the cool aired mansion and hurried to my room to take a long shower in order to soothemy tight muscles.

I leaned my head on the bathroom tiles as the hot water calmed my nerves down. I was going tobreak the ultimate rule and I had to feel strong-willed about it.

I finished my needed shower and wrapped the towel around my wet body, padding into my room, Istopped in my tracks at the sight on my bed.

It was Masa; her eyes opened up to the ceiling and blood pooled around her body and onto my bedsheets.

She was dead and all directions pointed at me, I was doomed if my mate found out about this, theveins trembled inside my body and I tried to take calm breaths. She was naked with a huge slit onher stomach where the organs peeked out.

I went to action as I fully clothed myself and grabbed her body to the floor as I lifted off the bloodysheets, hiding her with the sheets in the empty closet beside my bed. I didn't want to worry anyonebefore the war, they were going to be frantic and the Alpha would suspect that it was me becauseof the banters we had between each other.

With my fast heartbeat, I locked the closet and my window was open to pushing the reeks of thedead body out. I had to know who did this. Messy feelings tumbled inside my body and I couldn'thelp but feel a bit dizzy because how fast things happened in front of me.

I went out acting calm and collected to the safe house, the time passed to six pm as I strolledaround the safe house after helping the guards to ensure nobody was left outside and locking allrooms. Even though they completely humiliated me, I had to act like a Luna to this pack.

"I'm going to be fine, Desti, just stay safe in here and don't do anything reckless.” The Alpha told meafter he came to say his final words before the cruel war happens.

He kissed my eyelids and forehead, going down to my neck and sniffing my scent to make himstronger.

"I'll have to mark you after the war.” He whispered in my ear and I was silent, I had no reaction. All Iknew was I had to break the war off.

I kissed his cheek and told him to be careful, I would replace the jealous girls that stood beside ushilarious as they shoot daggers at me but I was too focused on my mate.

"I promise I won't die.” He smirked as he left a small kiss on my lips and embraced me, I grew teary-eyed against his chest for what was I about to do.

He might not die but I might. The thought of him having to lose his second chance mate made mefeel very sad but I had to, I couldn't stand fights anymore after what happened to my family.

With one final kiss on his jaw, he stormed out to get ready and I sat down while the women insidethe wooden room murmured in fear for their husbands and the Alphas sister joined me to comfortmy never-ending nervousness.
