The Deserted Rich Beauty (Nicole and eric) -
Chapter 1933 Refuse to Cooperate
Nicole felt much better after hearing Grant's words.
In that case, she was relieved
After all, the one who connected them to this client was one of Stanton Corporation's top executives in their foreign branch, and Grant was the domestic counterpart. Nicole only had a brief understanding of the situation.
They finally arrived at the airport.
The flight was twenty minutes late.
Nicole was talking to Clayton on the phone.
It seemed that Jake had encountered some tricky issues in Liberty and had to ask Clayton to step in.
Thus, Clayton had no choice but to send his daughter to the Stanton Mansion and get a last-minute flight to Liberty.
Nicole hung up the phone and heard Grant saying, "They're here."
As soon as he said that, a team of bodyguards came out from the VIP lane.
Nicole and Grant glanced at each other. Finally, a man came out last.
He walked up to the Stantons.
Nicole's smile faded, and Grant narrowed his eyes.
It was him.
The man standing in front of them was cold and handsome. His tall and well-built figure was very oppressive. However, what was different from before was that every time Nicole saw this man back then, she would feel uncomfortable, sad, or despair.
Now, Nicole feels incomparably calm.
Eric Ferguson was the person they were waiting for all day?
The VIP lane was closed off, which meant that there was no one else.
Nicole looked at Eric. Her tone was dull as she said, "You're the one who's working with us?"
Eric's eyes lingered on Nicole's bright and beautiful face fondly, as if he could not bear to move his gaze away for even one second.
He spoke in a low voice. "1 wasn't at first, but I bought it over."
Thus, he became the client.
Grant narrowed his eyes. His face was glum, and he laughed lightly.
'Mr. Ferguson, are you joking with us?"
Grant reached out and patted Nicole's shoulder, subtly protecting his sister.
"Let's go. We shouldn't waste our time here.'
Nicole lowered her head and turned around to follow Grant.
Eric spoke in a deep voice from behind.
"If I wasn't sincere about cooperating, I wouldn't have stayed in contact with you guys for so long, ;f+=UIW? I wouldn't have found someone else to get the deal from the beginning. Nicole, I admit that I have my selfish reasons, but Stanton Corporation is a good choice for this project. I'm also at ease now that I see your happy life. You shouldn't avoid me in business either. Mr. Stanton, the contract has been signed. Why would you give away the opportunity that's just within your
reach?'
Grant's face was dark and sullen. He narrowed his eyes as he exuded such cold and stern vibes. He did not budge. "Mr.
Ferguson, did you return to Mediania solely to cooperate with Stanton Corporation?
With the terrible relationship between our families, you won't return to the country just for this purpose, right? We won't pretend that what happened back then didn't exist. It's not a big deal to us even if we back out on the cooperation."
Eric's face finally turned glum. His cold face was strangely pale.
It was really bizarre.
However, he had such a strong aura that one would easily overlook this abnormality.
Nicole stood to the side with downcast eyes. She did not show any intention of commenting.
She was as indifferent as if she was facing a stranger.
That was what Eric was to her.
He could not even compare to a stranger.
At this time, several people quickly rushed over and broke the awkward silence.
"Mr. Ferguson, my apologies. We were stuck in traffic..."
Mitchell Crawford hurried over with some bodyguards. He froze for a moment when he saw that Nicole and Grant were also there.
Afterward, Mitchell nodded politely and greeted them before he went over to Eric.
"Mr. Ferguson, the car is ready. Shall we go back?" Eric's dark eyes were fixed on Nicole. His thin lips were pursed tightly, and the emotions under his eyes were suppressed. A flash of pain seemed to cross his face and soon disappeared.
