Don't Act Dumb

After Tyler finished his sentence, he felt a little more unwilling to let go of Nicole. It was a pity that he could not get his hands on her.

He initially just thought that Nicole was pretty.

Later, he realized that she had such a bold and bright personality, and she was not afraid of anything.

Now, Tyler felt that she was pure yet bad and a little shrewd. She was an irresistible little minx.

How could Eric let go of such a woman?

Tyler would have tied Nicole to his bed if he were Eric.

He waved his hand, and the bodyguard immediately gave way to Nicole.

Nicole stepped on her high heels and left in disdain.

It looked like she did not want to have any dealings with a scumbag like him.

Tyler's subordinate stepped forward in confusion.

"Boss, be careful. It might be a trap!"

Tyler rolled his eyes at him, smiled, shook his head, and said with certainty, "No, Clayton won't let her dig a hole for me because he's very protective of this woman. He might not even know that his woman has a private dealing with Snakehead!"

"But how can we be sure that what she said is true?"

Tyler sneered. The corners of his mouth

twitched.

"We just need to check that address to see if there's anything in the warehouse. Then we'll know if this is real."

The subordinate nodded.

Tyler smiled. "This is good too. Wait till I get her into bed and Clayton replaces out that she's cheating on him with me! I can't wait to see his reaction. It'll be really interesting!"

So, the shipping of these goods was just an opportunity to collaborate with Nicole.

Tyler raised his head. "Get the cruise ready, and don't let Eric know about it. Get that top student from abroad to come over as soon as possible to follow up on Eric's project. I don't trust him."

Yes, Boss."

The subordinate responded.

Nicole walked to the side of the street and got into the car. She sighed, picked up the water bottle next to her, took a big gulp, and slowly let out a deep breath.

Luca was keeping watch on the movement inside. When he saw Nicole come out, he was relieved.

"Miss, did he believe you?"

"Somewhat."

"Then what should we do?"

Nicole smiled. "As long as I have those goods, he'll believe me completely. I'll get our people to put the things in."

She took out her phone ?e-;RLU? sent a text message.

The other party replied. [OK]

Nicole breathed a sigh of relief.

Luca also breathed a sigh of relief. "Should we tell your family about this?"

"No, Tyler will notice something if more people know about our plan. We have to stay still for now."

Nicole laughed, "And then, we'll give him a fatal blow!"

Luca nodded and thought that what Nicole said made sense.

"Let's go."

The car engine started.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the window from the outside.

Nicole looked over and frowned slightly.

She did not intend to lower the window.

However, the person continued to knock persistently, and someone else blocked the car from the front.

Nicole had no choice but to lower the window halfway. She looked outside with cold eyes.

"Mr. Ferguson, what's the matter?"

Eric's stern and unwavering face appeared in front of Nicole.

It was a pity that Nicole did not really want to see him.

Eric's expression was indifferent, and his face was taut. His eyes were deep and turbulent as he suppressed his emotions.

"Did you go to Tyler?"

Nicole's eyes flickered, and she looked

away.

"What are you talking about? Who's Tyler?"

"Don't act dumb with me, Nicole! That's my hotel. My people saw you with him, and there are surveillance cameras. What did you say to him?"

He lowered his voice and asked.

There was a bit of urgency and worry in his deep eyes.

Nicole hated Eric's tone. Eric always sounded so high and mighty, thinking that he could control everything.

She smiled. "It's none of your business."

Eric looked angry, and he gritted his teeth.

"Nicole, you'd better not mess with him. He's not someone that you can mess with!"

Nicole looked at him lightly with distant and indifferent eyes.

"I didn't mess with him. He messed with me first. Eric Ferguson, I don't want to know what deal you struck with him. You'd better not intervene in my matters with him."

Eric sneered.

"I knew that something was going on. Does Clayton know about this? Did he ask you to come? Did he ask you to take the risk as bait?!"

His voice was deep and cold. He truly hated Clayton.

Nicole frowned slightly.

"You're quite imaginative, huh? Do you think that I'm a puppet?"

"Nicole, I'm not joking."

Eric's expression was solemn.

Nicole also looked back coldly. "I'm also not joking. Don't worry about me. You should be worried about where your sister and mother are right now."

She closed the window after saying that, but before it closed completely, Nicole felt some sympathy for him.

Nicole looked out at Eric and met his shocked, complicated, and hurt eyes.

"I asked Tyler a question just now, and I have reason to believe that your sister isn't in his hands."

After saying that, she raised the car window, put on her sunglasses, and looked at Luca.

"Drive."

Luca responded and quickly started the car.

Eric was left far behind.

It was not until Eric could no longer be seen that Luca asked, "Mr. Ferguson won't tell anyone about your meeting with Tyler, right?"

Nicole opened her eyes slightly. Her eyes were cold.

She pondered for a moment before she said, "I don't think so. He's being controlled by others, and he's not on the same side as Tyler. Plus, he doesn't have that much energy to care about me." Eric would not devote his energy to caring for Nicole either.

Nicole could feel that Eric was not as free and reckless as before.

He had been under too much pressure recently. That was probably because his sister and mother were still in the hands of others, so he had nowhere else to go.

Eric was like a trapped beast that was fighting desperately to escape.

Nicole sighed and closed her eyes.

She was not in the mood to think about anything else, nor did she want to team up with Eric. She just wanted to solve the problem in her own way.

Her phone suddenly rang.

It was Logan.

Nicole was stunned and quickly picked up.

Logan said in a cautious and worried voice, "President Nicole, is that you?"

Nicole paused. "Yes, it's me, Logan. I forgot to call you. I just came out safely, so don't worry!"

Logan was still very nervous.

However, he could finally relax.

"President, please don't tell me about such things if you plan to do this again. I've always had a heart problem since I was young!"

Nicole was speechless and thought, 'What a weak sauce!'

She hung up the phone and went straight back to the Stanton Mansion.

Unexpectedly, Clayton came back early.

He was clearly busier than her.

Clayton came up to Nicole, took her coat, and hung it up. He looked at her with a warm smile.

"Baby, why did you get off work so late today?"

Nicole froze when she heard this question.

She suddenly became nervous.

It was such a common question, but she felt so guilty.

Nicole paused for a while and tried her best to pull out a smile.

"Is it late? I don't think it's late. Grant hasn't even come back yet!"

Clayton smiled. "Grant called just now and said that he's not coming back for dinner. He's out for a social engagement."

Nicole froze.

"What else did he say?"

Clayton replied, "He wanted to ask you to pick Levi up from school, but you didn't reply to his message, so he called me.

Luckily, I went to pick Levi up."
