Clayton came very quickly. His car arrived before the reporters came.

Julie hitched a ride with them, and Clayton sent her to her office.

Nicole wanted to follow Julie and get out of the car, but Julie rejected her outrightly.

"Tea time is over. Have a safe journey home!"

Clayton politely said goodbye and started the car engine.

Before Nicole asked how Shane became an actor, Clayton said, "Baby, shall we move out of the mansion?"

Nicole paused.

She immediately understood what Clayton

meant.

It was not convenient for them to keep staying at the Stanton Mansion, but it was indeed more convenient for Chatty to crawl everywhere there. Clayton continued, "Isn't Dad going to start picking Levi up from school? Let's take Chatty home for a few days to get used to it?"

Nicole thought about it for a while and agreed.

It was mainly because Chatty was too happy in the mansion.

Clayton glanced at her with a smile, then turned the steering wheel and drove toward their apartment.

Nicole regretted agreeing to Clayton's request so easily, but there was no way to refute it.

Stanton Corporation.

After Grant closed up the project, he gave the relevant personnel a long vacation as a reward. The money did not go to Stanton Corporation, so they managed to get by without any danger.

Nicole did not go to work until a week after she returned to Mediania.

When Logan saw Nicole, he excitedly poured her a cup of coffee and served her some tea, as if he had not seen her for a few lifetimes.

In the office, Nicole looked at Logan with a smile. Her eyes were gorgeous as she raised her eyebrows.

"Logan, are you trying to make me work overtime?"

Logan looked at the coffee and tea in front of him and immediately patted his head.

"I'm sorry, President. I'm just so excited that you're finally back!"

Nicole laughed and took a sip of coffee.

Logan's coffee brewing skills were impeccable. He was even more professional than a professional barista.

"Was everything okay when you were with my brother?"

Logan replied, "Everything's fine, but you have a lot of backlogs. When do you plan to start?"

Nicole's body stiffened. "Why didn't you say so sooner? Hurry up =e#=YJV? bring it over." 'Okay. After a while, Nicole started to feel overwhelmed. Logan knocked on the door again to come in. "President, Luke Youngblood is here."

Nicole was taken aback for a moment. She acquired a small company before and had an intuition that the company would not stop growing. At the very least, they would make outstanding achievements in the industry.

However, Nicole encountered so many things recently that she had no energy to care about that company.

She did not know what their progress was.

Nicole squinted her eyes, and Logan reminded her.

"Z Technologies has won several awards in a row, but they currently have no projects on hand. I'm guessing that Luke Youngblood is here to talk about what's next..."

After a pause, Nicole raised her eyebrows.

"Let him in."

Luke still looked the same. He tried to control his slightly burnt-out expression.

"Ms. Stanton..."

Nicole smiled. "Have a seat"

Luke looked at Nicole's office which was almost as big as half of Z Technologies' entire office.

He had to admit that it was extremely extravagant.

Luke grinned and lowered his attitude.

"Ms. Stanton, it's really hard to see you around. You truly are a busy woman." Nicole was looking at the computer and raised her eyebrows.

"Mr. Youngblood, do you have something to say regarding the current situation of Z Technologies? I invested so much money in your company. Although you've won awards, it isn't how I'm measuring your company."

Luke's smile subsided, and he looked at her solemnly.

"I understand what you mean, Ms. Stanton. Money is the only thing that can truly measure the value of Z Technologies."

Nicole smiled casually.

"I'm glad you're aware of this."

They were businessmen, so now was not the time to talk about feelings.

According to Z Technologies' current status, you should be able to get at least one project, right?"

Luke lowered his eyes and paused.

"Ms. Stanton, Z Technologies is positioned as a high-end technology provider with the best equipment and research personnel in the world. If we take on small projects, wouldn't we lose our value? The company's first project is a crucial first step to opening the market, whether it's in the automotive, medical, or home industries. These three areas are our top priorities, but

Nicole smiled. "But these three areas are pretty much monopolized by J&L Corporation."

Luke smiled self-deprecatingly and looked at her.

Ms. Stanton, I know that Stanton

Corporation has cooperated with J&L Corporation before. For you, Z Technologies may just be a small company that you left to fend for itself, but for us, it's the first gateway to change our world." Luke was extraordinarily solemn.

Nicole lowered her head and chuckled. She turned the pen in her hand and looked at Luke nonchalantly.

"Mr. Youngblood, I hope you know that I've invested so much money to make you stronger, not to make you feel sorry for yourself. I can't do anything about you guys thinking that Z Technologies is dispensable to me. That's because you haven't grown enough to make the entire Stanton Corporation depend on you. But I do look forward to that day."

Luke frowned slightly and pursed his lips. Both of them were passing the buck to each other. Nicole knew what Luke wanted, but if he did not ask for it, she would not hand over a project to him on a silver platter.

After a while, the office was silent.

Luke's throat moved. It seemed that he finally made up his mind. He pursed his lips and said, "We're very confident about the Hannover project. It's also a good opportunity, but I've inquired about it and found out that it would most likely go to J& L Corporation. So..."

Nicole thought about it for a while, then raised her eyebrows.

"So, you want me to help you get this project?"

Luke said, "I just want your help to introduce me." This was unexpected.

"Okay." Nicole agreed at once. "Whose project?"

"Ferguson Corporation."

"Get out!"

Nicole was angry and got annoyed at Luke.

"Are you doing this on purpose?"

Luke looked at her cautiously.

"No, no! I struggled for a long time before I came to see you. I know about your relationship with Mr. Ferguson, so... But we really have no other choice. No one in Z Technologies has connections with Mr. Ferguson."

Nicole looked at him seriously.

"Mr. Youngblood, let me tell you the truth. Eric Ferguson is a shareholder of J&L Corporation. So do you think that he'll give you such a big slice of cake just because of me?"

Luke was silent for a moment. His eyes flickered slightly, as if this was unexpected to him.

This fact was not well-known, so it was normal for Luke not to know about it.

Nicole sighed.

"If you really want to give it a shot, you can attend an upcoming auction in a few days. The people from the Ferguson Corporation should be there. You can talk to Mitchell Crawford, but you're not allowed to mention my name."

Luke's eyes lit up as he nodded immediately.

"Thank you, Ms. Stanton."

Only a few people would be invited to that kind of auction.

They did not receive an invitation, so they could only look for other ways to get one.

Nicole was no longer in the mood to talk. She looked at him and asked, "Is there anything else?"

Luke stood up. "No. I'll take my leave.

Thank you, Ms. Stanton."

Nicole smiled perfunctorily and did not even bother to get up to send him off.
