“Okay. I got it. Tell him to wait for a while. I’ll hurry over in an hour.” After hanging up the call,Gwendolyn pecked a kiss on both babies’ cheeks before she hastily went downstairs and left thehouse.

Just as she arrived at the garage, she saw Cedrick returning in the car he drove out earlier in themorning.

Cedrick brought his luxury car to a steady halt before her and rolled down the window, revealing hisextraordinarily handsome facial features. “Are you heading out, Darling? I happen to be free, so wouldyou like to head out together?”

Gwendolyn arched her brow ever so slightly. “You’re telling me you happen to be free when there areso many matters you have to attend to at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Jenson Group? Youdeliberately came to check on me, didn’t you?”

Cedrick didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he got out of the car, walked around the vehicle to thepassenger side, and opened the car door for her. Then, he ushered her into the vehicle in a gentlemanner. “Let me be your driver today, Darling”

Gwendolyn didn’t refuse, allowing him to help her fasten her seatbelt.

He started the luxury car and drove smoothly out of the Jenson residence with his good driving skill

Gwendolyn uttered. “Let’s go to Angle.”

“Understood.”

Not long after, the two arrived at Angle.

Through the hazy glass of the reception room, Gwendolyn saw a figure that seemed familiar yetsomehow not, sitting with his back to her.

She trained her eyes on the figure while pushing the door to the reception room open.

Cedrick suddenly grasped her hand, seemingly intent on staking his claim on her, but she didn’t stophim.

The two entered the room together.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, the man inside the reception room turned around.
