The Gamma's Heart
The Gamma’s Heart – Chapter 17

Clara POV

Pulling up to the 2 story building the next morning, I immediately began to miss home. I blinked back the tears that tried to form in my eyes and pushed the door open.

My brother wanted to come with me, but I refused to let him leave home because of me.

I know he wanted to be with me to make it not feel so lonely, but I told him that mom and dad needed him aswell, not just me. He loved them as much as I did, but I just couldn’t see past the lack of trust they didn’t have to tell me.

After lastnight Noah and I sat up talking. He did tell me that he Wyatt and Chase have only known for a few weeks, that I understood. He also told me that Chase has been pestering mom and dad to tell me everything.

But out of What they told me and what Noah said, the one thing I couldn’t grasp was, how I have powers. He even told me he first noticed them after the rouge attack.

He wasn’t sure if Wyatt had noticed anything before that, I haven’t had a chance to ask him.

My morning was me grabbing everything my hands touched and threw in bags.

However in my rush, I forgot my school bag and a few other things that were important, I was tempted to tell Wyatt to turn around but I didn’t want to go back. Not yet anyway.

“Hey why don’t you go inside, Noah and I will grab your things.” Wyatt said, snapping me from my thoughts.

“First or second floor?” I asked looking over at him.

“I think uncle Dan put us on the second floor. Furthest from prying eyes, because I know you’re still not comfortable around the pack yet with both of us.”

Nodding my head, I looked down at my hands. It’s true, I wasn’t comfortable around people yet, not because of them but because of me. I still don’t feel like I’m the right person for them, I haven’t even told them why.

“Tell Alpha Dan I said thank you for that,” I told him before I made my way towards the packhouse.

After entering I could smell the makings of breakfast, the scent alone made my stomach grumble annoyingly, but I wasn’t in the mood to eat anything. I just wanted to lay down, bury myself in my blankets, and hide from everyone.

Going up the stairs, I could hear people talking and laughing. Though they sounded familiar, but I couldn’t place who they belonged to. After turning a corner my eyes locked on the five people that I’ve grown to call my best friends.

The first one to notice I was standing at the end of the hallway was Mariah. Her short sandy blonde hair bounced as she walked towards me. Her blue eyes were glossy as she stepped in front of me. Josie and Kelly were two steps behind her.

I tried to hold it together but when the three of them wrapped themselves around me my tough exterior broke, and so did the water works.

“Oh honey it’s okay” Josie murmured as she ran a hand along my hair. “Now why don’t we go in the room so we can replace out why you’re so upset,” Kelly said with a smile on her face, Mariah however hasn’t let me go, nor said anything.

“Hey curls are we simply livestock over here? I mean maybe the stud next to me is but this diva can’t handle being ignored much longer.” Damien retorted from the door, a hand on his h*p.

Mariah finally pulled away with a giggle. I usually would’ve laughed at that snark but I couldn’t replace the energy to even smile at my friends gay banter.

“It must be serious, she didn’t even crack a smile.” Keith whispered to Damien.

Hearing footsteps coming down the hall the girls looked around the corner, I knew who it was without having to move a muscle. I smelt them when they entered the building. “Hey angel, I forgot to give you the key to the room you are in.” Noah said turning the corner.

My cheeks instantly felt hot, I haven’t told my friends about Noah yet. They only knew about Wyatt because of the roumors going around the school.

I quickly turned around and took the key from him, and leaned up kissing his jaw. “Thank you.” turning back around Damien’s face was sporting a smirk

“Is there something you haven’t told us missy?” “Damien not now.” I muttered going over to the door and unlocking it. I practically had to pull the drama queen into the room as the others followed in behind us.

My face was hot, hotter than its been since yesterday, my body was still hot not helping how I currently felt. “Well? Spill it!”

I ran a hand through my hair turning around, “Noah is my mate.” I whispered.

“I thought Wyatt was.” Keith said with a confused look on his face. “He is.” I barely said loud enough for them to hear but I knew they heard me.

“So your fate was set to both of them?” Kelly asked, I could hear the happiness in her tone. “Yes” I looked down, playimg with the strings on my sweatshirt.

“That’s so f*****g hot,” Mariah’s comment had my head shooting up. She rarely said anything out loud. She was the quiet observer, and only spoke when the need rose. “Have you f****d them yet?”

If I thought my face was red before, I was now turning into a tomato at this point.

“Mariah stop, you’re making her blush.” Keith chuckled earning giggles and snickers from the others. “So… just one then!” Mariah continued with her on point comments.

Sitting down on the bed, I pulled my hair into a sloppy bun on my head. I’m sure I missed a few curls while putting it up, but it was sticking to my skin from how hot I was. “Considering her first time was while she was drunk with Quentin, you honestly shouldn’t be surprised.

“Our friend here is a closeted hoe,” Damien said causing me to look up at him. Before I could say somthing back to his snarky comment the door flew open revealing Wyatt.

I could throat punch Damien right now.

“Quentin? I knew you refused to tell us who it was but really, him? Of all the people?” Wyatt said through gritted teeth. “Thanks Damien,” I shot a glare at him as I got up. “Wyatt, it didn’t mean anything.” I told him as I slowly moved towards him.

“It might not have at the time, but he’s been in the cells multiple for stalking the girls he’s slept with. Now I know why he wouldn’t leave you alone.” he was mad.

“But he did leave me alone, please don’t make this something it isn’t.” he shook his head, “did you know that Chase and I had to keep to the shadows that year because he was watching you everywhere you went?”

“When we confronted him, he had pictures of you in your bedroom from the window, the only angle he could’ve gotten those was from the trees, Clara!”

Placing my hands on my h**s, I looked down. “Chase told me all of this. Now can we please talk about this later?” he scoffed before growling.

I noticed my friends back away from him as he let his aura slip out. He caused them to bare thier necks from the strength of it, the girls let out little whimpers. “Wyatt, you’re hurting them. Knock it off.” I snapped at him.

“Now stop, we can’t talk about this later.” Now I was begging him to let this topic go.

“we talk about it now.” he tried making me submit to him but I fought it off, my hands were clenched at my sides, while perspiration began to slide down the sides of my face and neck.

One thing I knew about his bloodline was how powerful it was. I would probably be on my knees if I didn’t have Alpha in me, but the Gamma part wasn’t as strong. “Noah” I gritted through the link.

“Not while you’re acting like this.” I told him. My breathing was heavy, I wanted to scream from the pain he was putting me through.

“Wyatt, drop the aura, you’re hurting her.” I heard a voice but I couldn’t focus on where it was coming from or who said it. “Wyatt she’s part Gamma your Beta/Alpha aura is hurting her. I know you feel it. Your stronger than she is, the fact that she’s still standing is a minor miracle.”

“It’s probably the Alpha in her that’s keeping her up.” he snarled and pushed more over me.

I had my eyes clenched tight as I fought off the scream that tried to rip out of me. “Don’t make me command you to stop brother. I don’t want to hurt you.” It was Noah, how had I not realized it sooner.

“Why are you doing this? What has you so pissed off?” Noah asked him.

“I found out who she slept with that night. It was that bastard Quentin Dane! That f*****g sadistic bastard is the reason I felt sick for half an hour the night of that party.” I tried thinking about why he would feel it, but my brain was coming up blank.

“I get you’re upset with who it was, but why are you taking it out on her? Now drop the aura before I drop you!” I could hear them bickering, but my body was tremblimg from how hot my body was, the cold sweat, the pain from his aura.

“Let me help you kitten,” the voice said to me, but nobody was around me. “You know who I am Clara. I can help, let me out for a bit!” she said.
