The Gamma’s Heart – Chapter 52

“That’s….no I watched..I don’t under….how? Noah heard her fumble over her words and, not able to finish her sentences as he moved closer.

When he sat down her entire body tensed up almost like she was in disbelief that he was here beside her.

Was she loosing her mind?

Did somebody give her drugs, is that why she’s seeing him?

Was this another dream? Because they usually didn’t include his scent.

In any case, she never wanted it to stop because she missed his face dearly.

When he reached for her hand, her eyes closed when tingles rushed into her palm.

An involuntary sob left her from the sensation it brought. “If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up.” Clara whispered.

Noah reached up and cuped her cheek, her eyes flew open when he did. He flashed her toothy smile “You aren’t dreaming. I’m very much real!” he said.

“You are th-” Noah was cut off by her body colliding with his in a tight hug.

She didn’t seem to care if she hurt herself more than she already was either, as long as she touched him.

“I watched you -no I felt your tether break. How are you here?” Clara’s question was muffled because her face was buried in the crook of his neck taking in his delicious scent.

He moved a hand to her hair and began playing with her curls as he spoke. “I’m here because of you, you saved me angel.”

Noah felt wetness on his shirt a few moments later and he knew she was crying. “I killed him because of you, I killed all of them.” she sobbed

“I don’t care what you did, I already told you before, I’d still love you if you went on a killing spree.” Noah whispered into her ear.

Clara shook her head “I didn’t just kill them,” she pulled back and bit her l*p while looking down “I tor-tortured them..” she almost couldn’t get the word out, because seeing him sitting here proves that she didn’t have to do it, that none of it should have happened.

“Hey” Chase said softly “mom and dad….if they were still here would be so proud of how you stuck up for the people lost durring that attack.” he told her while squeezing her knee.

Damien came down the hall with Kelly and Keith, Micah was bringing Mariah and Josie, he pulled the strap closer to him as he slowed his pace.

When they got to where they were going he seen a small crowd forming outside of the room “f*****g vultures” he heard Kelly snap.

She handed her brother the carseat and pushed past everyone and stood in front of the door. “I need everybody to back the f**k up!”

The startled pack members just stared at her. “But we just want to meet our new Luna!”

Kelly growled lowly “You know who she is, let her rest.” she didn’t miss the fact that most of the people here were men who wanted to gawk at her friend.

“You heard her!” Damien said walking over and stood beside her.

Keith walked behind them and into the room while they tamed the crown down becase it seemed like they weren’t backing down fast enough.

When he walked in he smiled lightly, they had the blinds to room pulled so he wasn’t sure how she looked.

But other than a being little flushed she looked fine.

“Ready to see mama?” Keith wihspered lifting the seat onto the counter, she kicked her little legs excitedly as he unstrapped her and took her out.

When he sat down the chair made a noise that made him cringe at how loud it sounded in the semi quiet room.

He looked down at Bailey, she had her thumb in her mouth happily sucking away on it, his head then snapped up when he heard a whimper coming from the bed.

A few seconds later she shot up breathing heavily. “Oh god, why won’t she go away?” she muttered to herself.

I guess she sensed him beside her because she then turned her head in his direction, and when when she locked eyes with him he gave her a sweet smile

“Hey mama!” Keith said tenderly, he watched her eyes move down to his arms and tears quickly filled them.

Keith got up and sat on the edge of the bed, “She misses you..”

Clara turned away from him.

As much as she wanted to take her from him, her instincts were telling her to stay away, far away from her.

She wasn’t fit to be a good parent if she couldn’t handle death the right way. There was also still a lingering danger following her.

There were things that she hasn’t told them, things that could put them all in danger.

“Get out, Keith!” Clara whispered

He blinked a few times, was she really kicking him out? Did she not want to see him? Or her daughter?

“Please go!” she asked him again, as she laid back down.

Keith stood slowly, as he was buckling Bailey back into her seat she began crying she rarely ever cried. Only ever did when she wanted one of her parents, tonight she wanted her mother, but for some reason she didn’t want her.

He sighed and looked over his shoulder, Clara had turned away from him. “I’m really glad you’re okay.” Keith said walking out.

Damien and Kelly turned when the door opened. Keith just shook his head.

“She asked me to leave, didn’t want me or Baliey in the room.” Kelly nodded her head.

She was there that night. “The last time she seen her was durring the attack, she carted her off to safety before enduring one of the worst things a person can feel.” Kelly said, she understood it somehow.

“I’ll call one of the boys to see of they can come and calm missy here down. You know how she is when she’s like this.” Damien said pulling his phone out.

The next day Wyatt walked into the room to replace it empty, he walked over to the bathroom door and knocked praying to get an answer.

When the door flug open and Clara rushed out fully dressed his eyebrows pinched together. “What are you doing?”

“Leaving!” she answered him blankly.

“Why?” Wyatt grabbed her arm forcing her to turn around.

Clara pulled her arm from him and looked away. “I’m not finished, Wyatt.” she looked over at the door hearing it open.

“You are not leaving us again” she looked back at Wyatt

“You are not the boss of me. Neither of you are.” Clara told both of them.

Noah took a step closer. “What about our daughter?”

“She doesn’t need me!” she said turning around to grab the rest of her things.

Noah walked up behind her till his chest was against her back, “I get you need to get revenge for your parents, and my mom and everyone else who died but you can’t keep doing this.” he ran a hand down her arm and she shuddered under his touch.

“You aren’t leaving this room until I get your mark. What kind of Alpha would I be without his Luna’s mark?” Noah said against her ear then bit down on her ear lobe.

If he wasn’t standing so close she would’ve felt her legs give out from that action alone. Clara shook her head and tried to push herself away from him but he snaked his arm around her waist.

“Let me go, Noah….please” the last word came out more of a whimper when he moved his head down to her neck.

She took in a deep breath and turned around swiftly, the look in his eyes told her that he thought she was going to k**s him, but she wasn’t, even though she really wanted to.

But she had to leave before things got worse. She could feel something changing and it wasn’t for the better.

Clara placed her hands on his chest and pushed him back. “I asked you to let me go.”

She reached behind her and grabbed her bag and quickly left the room before she changed her mind.

She couldn’t go back to the human town she was in to get the car she bought because the hunters there knew where she was.

She had to think of something else to do.

The moment she stepped out of the hospital there was a crowd of people standing in front of the entrance. Young, old, they all varied in age.

Her friends, and brothers were with them, along with Wyatt’s mom, Noah’s Dad, Anna, and Samuel. She seen Micah, Brent, even Stacey and Hank there too.

Alpha Dan was holding Bailey, his eyes not leaving the young woman who was like a daughter to him.

“What’s going on?” Clara adked

“Please don’t leave sunshine!” Brandon pleaded while his arm was wrapped around his mate.

Samuel took one step towards her only for her to take one back, but she bumped right into Wyatt who grabbed her h**s forcing her to stay put.

“Are you really going to make us go without our Luna, Clara?” Mariah asked her bluntly with not an ounce of f***s given.

“You are safer with me gone” Clara stated “The hunters are looking for me.” It wasn’t the whole truth but it wasn’t a lie either.

Mariah threw her purse on the ground and walked up to her angrily. “You honestly believe that?” she didn’t let her answer before she spoke again.

“You have single handedly killed over 40 wolf’s that escaped and 90 hunters, if anything we are more safe with you here.”

Clara knew she killed alot of enemies but she didn’t think it was that many. She would even let Clary take over while she blacked out, so she wasn’t always present when she did something.

“If you leave us again, we’re all leaving with you. The whole goddamn pack, everybody in Black Jewel is going where ever you go.” Mariah said her eyes filling with unwanted tears.

Josie, Kelly, Keith, and Damien walked over and stood with Mariah.

Clara looked at all of them and seen how serious they were all being, she looked at everyone else and seen the same seriousness on their face.

It made her want to hit all of them for being so stupid, but it also made her want to cry at the love and support she was being shown.

“Say the word. Are we packing up or staying put?” Samuel asked.

She went to answer him when she felt that familiar heat on her side, she winced slightly placing her hand over it.

Wyatt placed his hand over hers and asked “Are you okay?”

She knew she couldn’t tell him what it was, not yet atleast, so she nodded “Yes, I’m fine.” when her eyes opened she seen Samuel staring at her worriedly.

Then a second later his voice flooded her head making her close her eyes again. “I know what that is, and we need to talk.” she hasn’t had anyone link her in over a month and it hurt.

“Not here please?” Samuel seen her reopen her eyes and he slowly nodded his head.
