Gelled hair, tight black shirt, a bit of makeup on his acne scars almost unnoticeable at the end of his chin, black loose jeans with white sneakers, a small gold chain around his neck. Also, he could not forget the contacts that took at least half an hour to put in since he was terribly scared of them. It had hurt, but now that they were in, he was ready to leave. Kylan headed for his father's alcohol cabinet and grabbed a shot glass, wincing after the first shot as it left a disgusting taste in his mouth. He took another one before filling a water bottle and another one for Ella.

His eyes found the gaze of the portrait at the end of the room; it was the golden eyes of his mother staring at him. As always, he sighed sadly, then left the room for his own bedroom. When he entered, he rolled his eyes when Ella was still in her undergarments, rushing through her makeup bag, trying to replace the right lipstick. He sat on his bed and said, "You might want to hurry up."

"I was taking care of you for the longest time; that's why I'm late," she yelled, replaceing the lipstick and quickly applying it. Then she threw it at the side of the sink and turned off the bathroom light, grabbing the dress she was going to wear that was on the bed. It was gold, tight in her curves, and revealed a bit of cleavage.

He frowned. "Don't you think that shows a bit too much?" She turned around, and he leaned forward, zipping the back of the dress. "Guys are already after you when you're not dressed like this. That dress will make it worse."

"You're such a party pooper," she chuckled, staring at his full-length mirror at the end of the room. She smiled at herself, admiring the reflection before hurriedly putting on her heels. "That's the point of this dress. And look how you're dressed; girls will be all over you."

"Well, maybe I'll suddenly turn straight."

She shrugged her shoulders. "Or maybe you could just hook up with a girl and call it a night."

He rolled his eyes. "That's not happening."

"Anyways," she opened his door, "we have to leave. Are you ready?"

"I've been ready. Here's your drink." He threw her the bottle with alcohol in it, and she caught it, grimacing when the scent filled her nose. "I think the cab is outside." And it was.

The home was about forty minutes away, but the minute they arrived, both of them gawked. They had never been to Jonah's home before, but it was clearly a mansion; it could even be considered a castle. It had lights of different colors illuminating the entire home, and the driveway was miles long. The cab driver even raised his eyebrows at them, and they were both speechless. The bricks were bright white, with large fountains in the garden, and maple trees with pink blossoms followed the driveway. It was such a masterpiece that they were trembling when they exited the cab.

Kylan gulped before saying, "I'm not going in there."

"Yes, you are. We came all this way; let's take a shot right now." He agreed, and they clinked their bottles before taking a shot. They needed a second one, and finally, the buzz that Kylan began feeling gave him a burst of energy, and they marched past the gate. The walk to the entrance was pretty long, but when they reached the doors-the front doors were immense, almost as if it was the entrance to the royal palace a few security guards nodded their heads at them. They both gulped and approached the guards, who patted them down and allowed them to enter. The entrance was illuminated by all the colors that were outside, and the music blared. There were circular stairs headed to the upper levels and any type of game that one would love to play. It was packed with people, with enough space to breathe, and a few pool tables with people smoking were present. As they continued, they passed the balcony doors and saw people rolling joints or making a few lines of cocaine.

Ella grimaced and continued her way, followed by Kylan. He was surprised since he noticed a few girls making double-takes at him, and one even "accidentally" bumped into him and pressed her ass against the front of his pants, which did not cause any hormones to run wild. It actually made him feel a bit awkward. He simply nodded his head shyly and continued his way behind Ella, who smirked.

They reached the dance floor, and Kylan's breath fell short in his throat when he found Jonah in a white suit, laughing with his friends as he sat on a table with a glass in his hand. He poured himself another glass of Hennessy and added a few ice cubes and a soda before taking a sip without making a face. This time, he turned his head, and their gazes met for a few seconds, but he then turned his head and met the gaze of other people in his home. Kylan made a sad face and opened his bottle of alcohol, taking a few gulps before Ella forced him to stop chugging.

"You'll get way too wasted if you do that; drink slowly," she said, worried.

He shook his head furiously. "I'm here to party, so I'm going to do what I want—"

"Ella!" A girl's voice called from behind Kylan, who turned around. It was one of her friends, and Ella seemed extremely excited to see her, as she embraced her for some time before pulling apart. "I'm so glad you're here!" "Micky! I am too. I came with Kylan." Kylan shyly waved at her, which she returned with a smile.

Micky then said, "We're all over there. You want to join?"

Ella instantly shook her head, "I'm with Kylan tonight-"

"No," he urged and pushed her towards Micky. "Go have some fun. I'll be fine, look-" he took another shot of his alcohol.

Ella smiled but was still reluctant to leave him alone. "Are you sure you'll be fine?"

"I'm a grown man. I think I'll be okay." He was beginning to exit his comfort zone since the alcohol was giving him a burst of energy, but he could already feel his mind begin to wobble. He needed to strengthen his focus since his eyes were beginning to blur slightly. Ella sent him a look, and he laughed. "Have fun, okay? Text me later."

She sent him an air kiss, which he faked as if he caught it, and after chuckling, Micky grabbed her wrist and led her away.

Kylan found himself alone in the crowd and was unsure of what to do next. He could not even replace Jonah anymore either, but his mind immediately switched direction when a girl came in front of him and bit her bottom lip seductively. He was not attracted to her sexually but receiving some attention was boosting his ego a bit. She placed her palm on his chest and leaned forward, another one on his neck as she lifted herself to her tippy-toes.

When her lips were near his ear, she whispered, "I hope that wasn't your girlfriend leaving you."

Kylan shook his head. "That's my cousin. Why?"

"Because you're super cute, and I'd be a bit disappointed if I couldn't go for you," she admitted in a low whisper and bit his ear a bit.

Instantly, his fingers reached the ear she had bit tenderly, and he smirked. "I replace you hot too," he replied smoothly. This was all the alcohol talking since, in his sober state, Kylan would be way too afraid and awkward even to say that. However, the girl was buying it as she wrapped both her arms around his neck and pushed his head towards her. "My name is Jasmine, by the way." She was quite skinny and didn't have the best body type, but her face was ideal. High cheekbones, pointy and straight nose, thick lips, and beautiful amethyst eyes.

Kylan wrapped a hand around her waist. "My name is Kylan, but most people call me Ky."

"I'll make sure to call you Kylan to separate myself from most people." She giggled.

"What are you up to tonight?" Kylan asked sweetly. "You've been drinking?"

She nodded her head, and one of her hands found the bottle he was holding and lifted it upwards. "Why don't you finish this?"

He looked at the bottle; there were maybe five shots left, which surprised him since he had filled the bottle before he left. He did not remember how many shots he had taken, but he seriously did not want to seem like a softie in front of the lady. He smirked, grabbed the bottle, and gulped all five of those shots. He then let go of the bottle, and as it hit the ground, she laughed, wrapping her arms again around his neck and kissing him.

One thing Kylan knew was that he was an extraordinary kisser. He made legs quiver by his kisses since he had such delicacy but such dominance. His tongue enveloped the others softly but with a strange sense of power, and his lips repeatedly moved with such rhythm that any person that experienced his kiss always wanted it again. It was exactly the same for the girl, who did not want to let go of his face. It was him that needed to pull away because, for one, his mind was running wild, and his eyes were blurring even more. Those five shots had not settled well with his stomach, and even his sense of balance was becoming off. Ella had been right; he had drunk his bottle a bit too fast, and since he never usually drank, it was hitting him a bit too hard.

When he pulled apart, the girl attempted to connect their lips again, and he suddenly found her annoying. He grabbed her waist and forced her off of him, gently pushing her off and making a grimace. Those were the types of moments when he wished Ella was around, and he slowly departed from the dance floor and headed for the circular stairs. He needed to replace a bathroom, and he repeatedly murmured a few apologies as he accidentally stumbled against people that were somewhat nice to him. When he reached the stairs, they were hard to climb as he could barely stand on his two feet, but as he reached the first level and realized there were five more levels, he reached the second one and fell onto the floor for a breather.

Everything was ten times harder when drunk, and after a few minutes, he pulled himself to his feet. He entered the first door he could replace and did not even stop when he realized it was not a bathroom because the first glance towards the bed had finalized his decision. He wanted to lay down. When he collapsed on the bed, he had not yet realized that he was not the only person in the room. It was only when he blinked a few times after groaning, and his vision settled for a short second that he recognized the jet black hair, the white suit, and the navy eyes as they stared back at him.
