"No... No!!!"

Even as Gable started to climb into his car, he had thought he could escape, but only for Frank to drag him back.

He struggled violently even as his hope to escape became a pipe dream, but it was naturally pointless.

Frank even broke one of his arms-the same thing he did with Clark, rendering him immobile.

"Now, let me think... what should I do with you two?"

Frank rubbed his chin, watching as both Gable and Clark lay limply on the ground before turning to glance at Helen in her car.

Naturally, he was plenty considerate toward her since he would not allow mooks like these two to live otherwise.

However, they were Helen's uncles and Mark's sons-executing both on the spot was really too much.

"Please, Mr. Lawrence! Just let us go... It's all Gable's idea!" Clark exclaimed through tears and shudders, brotherhood be damned as he sold out his brother right then and there. "He planned the arson on the farm too... he said that everything in the family will be ours if we get the farm and then kill our father! We will kill anyone who gets in our way too... That's what he said, word for word!"

Frank's expression changed ever so slightly in disgust-these brothers were really pricks, even planning to kill their own father!

He also finally understood why Mark was furious and cared so little about them back when Mark handed over the farm to Frank and Helen.

There was certainly a reason.

"Bullshit!" Gable exploded right then. "It was you who came begging because you wasted every dime the old man gave you! Why would I even think of this if you didn't keep bugging me every day?!"

Frank raised a brow.

Both of them were really pricks of equal measure.

Suddenly, Gable turned toward Frank and played his trump card. "Mr. Lawrence, you'd best think before you kill me... My brother is Zambri's deputy commissioner! He will make you pay!"

"Yeah! That's exactly right!" Clark nodded repeatedly. "Our boys are all subordinates of the deputy commissioner. No one will cover for you if you kill us. He will have your head!"

Frank was certainly disgusted that the two pricks would threaten him even after all that had happened. However, he still decided to spare their lives after thinking about it.

After all, they now had proof that Clark and Gable burnt down the farm resort and attempted to murder Helen.

And since Luna was involved in this conspiracy too, one would expect Helen to take leadership of the family without anyone questioning her. It would all be smooth sailing from here.

On the other hand, if Frank took the easier option and killed Clark and Gable, the entire incident would get stuck in limbo.

For one, Luna would accuse Frank of killing Mark's sons-even if Clark and Gable were scum, it still might cause friction between Mark and Frank. Moreover, Fleur Lang would inevitably make a big fuss about it.

In that sense, Frank would choose to spare them just to avoid the hassle.

"In that case, you're coming back to Laneville with us," he said. "Where you will confess all your crimes. Do that, and I will let you live-how about that?"

Both Clark and Gable were all too eager to seize the chance for survival and nodded repeatedly despite their pain.
