Rory was shouting even as she glowered, "Forget not giving me directions-he's treating me with such rudeness! Does he not know who I am?"

"What?"

"What's going on here?'

Rory's outburst drew a lot of attention, and even the rich and powerful were shocked when they saw her.

After all, she was Draconia's top singer with legions of fans.

It just so happened that Samus, one of the rich kids present, was her diehard fan.

Seeing that his idol was upset, he strode up and shoved Frank, snapping, "Don't you know who Ms. Thames is?! She's the country's best singer and has won multiple awards! Who do you think you are, treating her so rudely?!"

Vicky frowned in the distance when she heard the commotion and strode over. "What's going on here?!"

Rory clearly recognized Vicky and was looking at her pointedly from head to toe.

She snorted haughtily. "What do you teach your employees around here, Ms. Turnbull? Not only was he not showing me proper hospitality, but he was even being dismissive."

"Aren't you afraid that he'll embarrass you?" Samus shot Frank a glare and growled coolly. "I suggest chasing him away right now."

"Oh, I see..." Vicky murmured.

She glanced at Frank, who shook his head exasperatedly.

Both Rory and Samus were clearly from a different state, perhaps nowhere near the east coast.

They had no idea who Frank was and thought that he was your ordinary receptionist.

Vicky almost started laughing, but she turned to Rory seriously and explained, "Ms. Thames, this is my husband, Frank Lawrence. He's a consultant at my company Grande Pharma... and the actual owner of this farm resort. So, if you're unhappy with him, we have no choice but to ask you to leave."

With that, Vicky's smile turned cool.

"What? What's that attitude?!" Samus was incensed that Vicky was siding with Frank.

Rory, however, stopped him as she glanced at Frank in surprise, frowning as she asked quietly, "So you're Frank Lawrence?"

"Indeed I am." Frank nodded calmly.

"Oh, what a disappointment." Rory sighed and shook her head in disappointment, and she started heading upstairs. "And here I thought the man who saved Noel York was something amazing. For a moment, I actually wondered what you'd look like... but you're disappointingly plain."

"Eh?"

Frank and Vicky traded glances, unsure as to why Rory reacted like that.

Still, the show must go on-the opening ceremony was exceedingly crowded.

The rich and powerful were all seated on the second floor, including Riverton's commissioner Robert Quill and his daughter Yara, Senator Gerald Simmons and his son Tidus, a beaming Dan Zimmer and his daughter Janet, and Tim Yates, chief of the Riverton commerce guild.
