Will quickly said, "Please calm down, everyone. This decision is made by those above. I'm just the head of the department and can't make the decision here I'm afraid putting your complaints to me is pointless."

That was when Will glanced at Frank, and Frank understood immediately.

Will wanted to help them, but someone higher up in the pecking order meddled.

"Drenam Limited? Have you heard of them before?" Frank asked Helen, glancing at the fortyish Mr. Woss who did not look like a business owner at all.

"No. They might not exist... Even if they did, they can't be a major player," Helen said confidently.

After all, she had done her homework-she could list out every company in Zamri that had some extent of influence, and she had definitely never heard of Drenam Limited.

And with Helen and Kallum's wager still in effect, they could not allow the land lots to fall into someone else's hands.

Frank whipped out his phone and called Trevor Zurich right then. "Yeah, I'd like you to check this company called Drenam Limited... It's probably a construction company."

Meanwhile, an exasperated Will called for calm from upstairs.

"Please, everyone-settle down! Anyway, I hereby announce that the third land lots go to... Mr. Woss of Drenam Limited!"

Pandemonium ensued.

The Zamri bigwigs would have been fine with a fellow major player taking the land plots. But who could stay calm when every land lot was given to some small company they had never even heard of?!

"This is too much!"

"What the hell are you playing at?!"

"Exactly!" One of the bigwigs turned toward Mr. Woss right then and snapped, "Mr. Woss, mind telling us who you actually are, and who's behind you?"

Mr. Woss simply smiled and never answered the questions.

Ring...

Frank's phone vibrated just then, and he answered.

"I've got it, Mr. Lawrence," Trevor said. "Drenam Limited is a subsidiary owned by Gene Pearce, the richest man of the East Coast."

"Gene Pearce?" Frank exclaimed, taken aback.

"Yes, Mr. Lawrence. He's quite rich, and he's been expanding his businesses into Zamri recently."

"I see..." Frank breathed a sigh of relief, as he actually thought for a moment that the Lionhearts or Sif were getting involved.

That would certainly complicate things.

Trevor then added, "By the way, Mr. Lawrence-I've found out that Gene recently bought and built a mansion in Zamri. I heard that he's ill and needs a proper place to rest and recover."

"I see."

Frank smiled, as Trevor's information gave him an idea.

Illness? That certainly made things easier.

Frank would have trouble replaceing a solution immediately if it was something else, but illness was his expertise.

If Gene was willing to buy land and build a mansion for the sake of his health, he would certainly not mind giving it up too!

And if Frank cures him, Gene would definitely not be stingy when he asked.

With that in mind, Frank tugged on Helen's hand. "Come on. It's pointless to stay here."

"We're leaving?" Helen exclaimed, puzzled. "There are two more land lots."

Frank then explained, "There are five land lots on lease, but Kallum Gaetz asked for three. We're one short either way." Helen frowned and sighed. "So... we're giving up?"
