Gene calmly read the situation.

Since Frank was young and an accomplished healer, he would definitely not have time to study martial arts extensively.

If anything, parrying Zorn's blow earlier must have taken everything out of him-if he stayed any longer, he would die horribly like the martial artists Gene had brought.

And since Frank had already saved his life, Gene was reluctant to see Frank throw away his life like this.

As such, he said, "Mr. Lawrence, this is between me and Zorn. Please don't interfere—you should leave when you can."

"Hehe..." Frank chuckled instead of leaving, even turning to Gene to ask, "Are you sure I won't win, Mr. Pearce?"

"Oh..." Gene was left stumped by the question.

He certainly could not say that he believed Frank, just as he did not want Frank to push himself.

And after musing to himself for a long while, Gene shook his head in resignation. "Mr. Lawrence, Zorn and I have been friends since childhood-I won't drag you into our fight. After all, I'm grateful that you saved my life before, and rest assured that you will be given the land lots you asked for."

Turning toward Zorn, he asked, "Can you do that, Zorn?"

Zorn did a double take and quickly counted the time he had left while gauging Frank's strength, and he soon came to an awkward conclusion.

He was not sure if he could win against the mysterious youth.

After all, he could not gauge anything about Frank even now!

After a moment of silence, he nodded and said, "You may leave, Mr. Lawrence. Once I'm done with Gene, Lanecorp will be given the land you're asking for, and I promise not to cause you further trouble." "You heard him, Mr. Lawrence." Gene chuckled despite his cough. "You will get what you want. You should leave now."

Frank glanced between Gene and Zorn but eventually shook his head as both men watched.

"Mr. Pearce," Frank said, "you're still my patient. And since you have yet to make a full recovery, I'm obliged to protect and care for you."

Then, turning toward Zorn, he growled, "Leave right now, and I won't kill you."

"What?"

Zorn thought he had misheard for a moment, though he soon appeared amused and leaned his ear toward Frank. "I'm sorry, what was that again?"

"Mr. Lawrence..." Gene tried to dissuade Frank again.

Frank ignored him, however, and slowly strode up as he repeated quietly, "Leave right now, and I won't kill you."

"Heh... hehehe... Hahaha!!!" Zorn burst in laughter, shaking his head. "I don't know where you're from, kid, but you know that I practice the Dyadese form. I'm sure you know the state I'm in?"

"I do." Frank nodded earnestly. "In five minutes, your meridian nexus will be crippled, your meridians will be cut off, and you'll be a cripple. At that point, no one needs to lift a finger to deal with you."

"Then what else is there to talk about?!"

Zorn raised his palms and charged at Frank. "If you won't back down, you will die with Gene!"

"Then you're delusional!"

Frank watched as Zorn charged toward himself rapidly, completely on his toes.

Five-Peat Archaeus danced between his meridians, and abundant pure vigor erupted out of his body. Naturally, Zorn could see that immediately. "Hmm? You've completed Birthright rank? Impressive!"
