Peter continued gloating, "Just let her stick with Frank all she wants. They'll fuck up eventually and come crying to us, begging!" "Well said! My son is finally shaping up!"

Gina was certainly relieved to hear such words, though her face soon fell awkwardly. "That said... I've already sold that land."

"What?!"

Peter jumped like a cat having its tail stepped on. "Mom... What? You've sold it already?! Who could have bought it from you?!"

Gina scratched her head awkwardly, feeling her conscience gnawing because of her son's overreaction. "I was a little worried after we couldn't reach you on the phone, so I sold it to Frank."

"Frank?! You sold it to Frank?!"

Peter could blow up right then.

Still, he clung on to his last hopes and forced a smile while asking calmly, "How much did you sell it to him?"

"Five hundred million." Gina was grinning smugly even as she held up her fingers. "It's fine, Peter. He wants to be a sucker, so let him be. His money would go to waste anyway-when Cindy and I went over to check it out, it turned out to be far flung and infested by thugs! Frank won't be able to use it, let alone sell it!"

"Stop it, Mom! Just stop!" Peter exclaimed as he fell on his bottom, clawing on his own hair miserably.

"What's wrong, Peter?" Gina was stunned to see such a reaction from her son. "What, aren't you pleased that a rotten plot of land was sold to Frank? He ended up a big sucker..."

"Big sucker?" Peter was on the verge of tears. "You shouldn't have sold the land to him!"

"What? Why?" Gina was utterly dumbfounded, unsure as to what had gotten into her son who reacted as if the world had collapsed on him.

"Oh, Aunt Gina. There's something you have to know!"

Cindy Zonda strode in excitedly just then, but she scowled and clicked her tongue when she saw Peter. "What are you doing here?"

"It's alright, don't worry about Peter. What is it?" Gina asked, turning toward Cindy.

Cindy was quiet, clearly wary of Peter.

Still, seeing that Gina was not concerned, she spoke albeit reluctantly, "Do you remember the land you sold to Frank?"

Gina glanced at Peter, and then at Cindy even as a foreboding sensation started to gnaw on her. "Of course. What about it?"

"Zamri is building a highway, and it'll be passing near that very same plot of land!" Cindy exclaimed.

"So?" Gina remained confused, having zero experience in business.

"So?!"

Cindy smacked herself in the forehead at her aunt's slowness on the uptake and shouted at the top of her lungs, "It means that plot of land would rise in value!" "Really? By how much?"

Gina remained unconcerned. In her mind, property values rose and fell all the time, and there was nothing surprising.

"You don't get it, Aunt Gina." Cindy gulped as she explained excitedly, "This fundamentally changes the land's value! Now it's worth over ten times its previous value!" "Oh, and here I thought... Wait, what did you say?!

Gina gaped fixedly at Cindy, thinking that she had just misheard.
