Even as Gina thought to herself that anything could wait until after she took back her land, someone shouted, "Shush, be quiet! Ms. Lane is back!" "Heh. Pretentious as always."

"She calls herself a daughter? I would have quit already if this job didn't pay well."

"Talk about moral degradation."

"I'd disown her if she were my daughter!"

On the other hand, Helen's stilettos clicked as she strode in, with her secretary Lily rushing to her with a pained look. "I tried to stop them, Ms. Lane, but..."

Helen understood-Lily and the security guards could not use force since Gina, Cindy, and Peter were her family, and they could only allow the trio free rein. "Don't worry. Just leave this to me." Helen clapped Lily on the shoulder, nodding at the security guards before making her way through the crowd.

Even as she did, she could hear the words her own employees were saying, and her blood pressure shot up.

Gina and Cindy's money over the years all came from her, and yet Gina willingly led a witch hunt against her, not caring that she was her own daughter.

"Mom! What are you doing?!" she shouted as she stood, her knuckles clenched and her eyes welling up with tears.

Her rage was as real as her misery, or she would not be losing her composure with all her employees watching. "I... Uh..."

Seeing Helen's reaction, Gina's conscience ate at her.

However, Cindy strode up and stood between Gina and Helen, snapping coldly, "Don't think you can get away just by giving us your usual haughty attitude! Return the land you took from Aunt Gina, or we're no leaving!"

"That's right!"

Peter strode up and snapped in righteous indignation as well, "You've gone too far, sis! You lost the family fortune because you were hooking up with Frank, and you even forced Mom to give up her land and attacked her when she refused!"

Dramatically gesturing at the bloodied bandages on Gina's head, he shouted, "Where's the justice here?!"

"Justice?!"

Helen wheezed, closing her eyes-she did not faint from sheer agitation thanks to Frank's assistance, but her chest still hurt. When she opened her eyes again, she took a deep breath, her eyes once again cold and unflappable. "Move aside, Peter,"

She strode up, ready to make Gina look her in the eye as she spoke.

However, Cindy and Peter were not about to afford her the chance they quickly stepped between her and Gina, with Cindy bellowing, "What? Are you going to threaten Aunt Gina in front of everyone now?!" "That's right!" Peter shouted as well. "Are you forgetting your roots just because you've become the boss of a big company? Mom brought you into this world-how could you be so ungrateful?!"
