Peter was the most anxious person present.

After all, if he could not get that plot of land back, he would be dead even if Helen was toppled and was left homeless.

"Frank is..."

Helen was cut off even before she could come up with an excuse, as a thundering bellow resounded from the distance. "That's enough!"

The towering man strode up to stand beside Helen, putting an arm around her shoulder while glaring at everyone else.

Naturally, it was none other than Frank himself.

"You fools!" he snapped icily. "You can't even tell when you've been manipulated! Do you even know what really happened? Scorning and condemning your superior just because you were given a one-sided testimony-the way I see it, you're all trash! Lanecorp won't stop you if you want to leave! Go on, the door's right there!"

While his stern words silence everyone in the lobby, there were naturally those who were defiant.

"Hah!" Bob snorted. "Our head of the health and security department is just as coercive and unreasonable as described. You called us trash and said we're manipulated?! Show us evidence to back up your claims!"

"Exactly! They have evidence and testimony, and you think we'd believe just because you said so?"

"Frank Lawrence!"

Peter strode up, but he saw Frank's murderous glare even as he pointed at Frank.

His heart skipped a beat, and even his tone softened as he said, "Y-You should watch yourself! You'd better return that land to us soon... Or you'll see!"

Frank actually wanted to laugh at Peter's threat, even as Helen leaned against Frank.

"I told you to leave... Why did you come back?" she asked accusingly as her eyes welled up with tears.

Frank chuckled and patted her head.

"Oh, silly. You'd be eaten alive if I didn't. Also..."

He looked around as more Lanecorp employees gathered around them, and he growled icily, "I'll make them pay for insulting my woman!"

"Calm down!"

Helen flinched, presuming that Frank was about to get physical.

She did not want to impose a dictatorship in Lanecorp-her employees were simply manipulated by Gina, Cindy, and Peter.

In a way, they were on the side of justice but simply manipulated against her.

"Don't worry. I won't even lay a finger on them," Frank assured Helen, and he whipped out his phone, bringing up the recording that he prepared. "You wanted evidence?" He sneered. "Now listen closely. Is the daughter at fault, or have you all been listening to a manipulative hag?"

"Watch your mouth!" Gina was ready to fly into a rage, only to see Frank holding up his phone into the air as he played the recording.

It was clearly Frank's voice, asking, "I guess you're not going to believe me, Gina. But I'll still ask one last time-do you want that plot of land?"

"Let me tell you this, Frank Lawrence," Gina's voice could then be heard saying. "My dear son Peter was the one who conned me into buying that land, and I would never have done it if not for him! You're the sucker for buying from me now, so don't think you can swindle me back. I'm Gina Zonda, and I'm much smarter than you are!"

"Exactly. Did you think there's someone more stupid than you in existence, Frank?" Cindy gloated over the recording as well.

Gina then chuckled audibly before continuing, "Now, listen closely, Frank. I don't want that chunk of dirt even if it kills me-no, not even if you forced it on me!"
