Frank appeared perplexed-why would Peter come to him?

A while ago, Peter was appointed as deputy to Terry Cotton, who worked as a team captain in Lanecorp's health and security department.

Under usual circumstances, Peter had Frank's number and could just call him if anything happened.

But he did not and came to Frank personally? And he was in bad shape?

Sensing something ominous, Frank left Lily the secretary and dashed downstairs.

At the first-floor lobby, Frank found Peter bleeding from the gut as he sat by the entrance.

He was bleeding all over, causing a commotion in the lobby.

"What happened, Peter?!" Frank exclaimed as he squeezed his way through the crowd and rushed to Peter's side.

"Brother... Chief..."

Peter was barely breathing, choking even as he struggled to lift his bloodstained hands. "Four men attacked the bar we gathered in... They had big guns, and they killed so many of us..." "What?! Guns?!" Frank was at once furious.

After all, Draconia enforced strict gun control-only select individuals or leaders of illustrious families were given licenses to carry one. Others would need to get them from the black market or to pull the strings, and even those were other handguns or pistols. But these four had guns that could inflict devastation, meaning that they were clearly a big deal and really meant to hurt Terry and his men.

Most martial artists could not stop bullets unless they reached Birthright rank, and even then, they could only stop that many bullets.

In other words, this was premeditated.

While Frank did the math within seconds, he held up his fingers, projecting a spiraling burst of pure vigor to seal Peter's acupoints, stopping his bleeding.

Although he was shot four times on the abdomen, the bullets missed his vitals.

"Do you know where they come from? What about Terry? What's he doing?" Frank asked Peter even as he worked.

"Mr. Cotton made it out, but he was shot too and fell unconscious... They rushed him to the hospital already. I can't replace my phone, so I rushed here to warn you they're coming after Lanecorp!" Peter exclaimed.

Frank became quiet, scowling as he watched Peter cough blood miserably.

After stopping Peter's bleeding, he shoved an Ichor Pill into Peter's mouth and clapped him on the shoulder. "Don't worry. I'll make whoever did this pay."

"Oh... Okay!" Peter's tenseness eased with Frank's promise, and he went limp as he passed out.

"Peter!" Helen cried as she ran up to them.

It seemed that her secretary Lily had told her.

Even if Peter had not really exactly shaped up, he more or less changed his ways after Frank disciplined him. In fact, he was flourishing in the health and security department's fixer division, and everyone was perfectly cordial and respectful thanks to his brother-in-law. That was why he was very reverent toward Frank now and no longer up to his little schemes.

And as soon as the fixer division was in trouble, Peter came to inform Frank immediately despite his terrible pain and the possibility of death.
