Meanwhile, in a conference room on top of Lanecorp Tower, Vicky and Helen were scowling.

After all, they both had swords pressed against their fair necks.

"What are you doing, Silverbell?!" Helen demanded loudly.

"Heh. I'm surprised... someone so close managed to blindside me." Vicky was laughing, but her eyes were flashing coldly.

"Apologies, ladies," Silverbell was dressed in white as usual, her sword in one hand and a glowing trinket resembling a talisman in her other.

That was the spiritron vein that Helen had mentioned over the phone.

When she, Vicky, and Silverbell returned to Lanecorp Tower, a group of black-clad men lying in wait jumped them.

And when the black-clad men took the spiritron vein and handed it to Silverbell, Vicky and Helen realized they were betrayed.

Even though she was Frank's childhood friend and was utterly intimate, she always had a different plan in mind.

In fact, she had protected Vicky and Helen for the spiritron vein!

"Do you think Frank would forgive you for this?!" Helen snapped, her knuckles clenching.

It was infuriating to be betrayed by someone she really trusted.

After spending a while together, the cold, demure beauty somehow got Helen and Vicky to let down their guard around her... But it was all just an act!

"You can hate me all you want." Silverbell's gaze remained haughty as she grasped the spiritron vein. "It's been a pleasure spending time with you, but the spiritron vein is beyond any of you." That was when a group of black-clad men materialized into the room, and one dropped to one knee in front of Silverbell.

"Lady Silverbell, we need to go," he said. "Many eyes have already turned this direction, and if we drag our feet, those geezers will catch up to us."

"Let's go!"

Silverbell did not hesitate to leave with the black-clad men.

When they were all gone, Helen collapsed limply in her chair in silence.

"Oh, you. You always look so lofty and keep people at arm's reach, but you're ridiculously naive."

Vicky lectured her, though she was scowling too.

"Let's just wait for Frank to arrive and decide from there."

With that, both women sat in silence, until Frank and an elderly man with a steel mask covering half his face entered the conference room.

As they told Frank about Silverbell stealing the spiritron vein, the elderly man exclaimed in surprise, "The chief of the Martial Alliance?!"

He snorted and turned to leap out of the window, leaving Frank and the women behind.

While Vicky and Helen appeared shocked, Frank waved them off. "Don't worry about them."

He had a hunch that Silverbell would turn against him, but he scowled nonetheless.

"But, Frank! The spiritron vein is..."

"Greed consumes when you overreach." Frank sighed. "The spiritron vein has already started a conflict between every major power in Draconia. It's trouble even if we keep it, so leave it be." Both women sighed at the same time, hearing that Frank was giving up.
