Frank did not stay too long at Favoni House.

He waited until Silverbell recovered enough and left her with all the Ichor Pills she had, reminding her to be careful before leaving. Still, before he left, he got to enjoy watching the two Favoni sentries from before squatting at the gates and barking like dogs. Even Jaden was on hand to send him off, having woken up but needing a cane for the time being.

"I've been told the truth of everything now. Both your magnanimity and strength is above mine..."

Disappointment showed on his face, and his cheeks were pale and his eyes bloodshot-Frank could not tell if it was from the psychological blow or his drained vigor after staying unconscious for over a month.

"You're the first person I earnestly respect, and not even the Demon of Volsung Sect gets that honor. When I recover, I will definitely visit and ask for your guidance."

Jaden proved right then that he could lose with dignity.

After all, he did not think that the rival he belittled and slandered would put the past behind them to save him.

Even if the chief of the Martial Alliance had a part to play, there was still no doubt that the Favoni clan had been spared destruction because Frank stepped up.

And now, knowing that Frank was not someone they could mess with, he and the rest of his family were on hand to see him off.

"Thank you, Mr. Lawrence." Stella Favoni was there too.

At the same time, she nudged her younger sister Chelly, who hung her head awkwardly after spacing out for a moment.

After all, she was strongly prejudiced against Frank even among the Favonis and had hidden in her room, afraid to show her face when she was told that Frank came.

Still, knowing that she could not hide as everyone was there to see off Frank, she kept her head lowered as she murmured, "I'm sorry for the misunderstandings, Mr. Lawrence..." "That's enough."

Frank frowned, not keen for the Favonis' grand reception but appreciating Jaden's attitude nonetheless. "You are gifted, and if you're willing, come to Zamri after you fully recover. I can take you in as my apprentice if you're earnest and loyal."

He meant that for Jaden specifically, and while Jaden was surprised, he did not hold back, shaking off the servant holding him up and falling to his knees. "Master Lawrence! I am your faithful apprentice henceforth!"

"Good." Frank nodded, satisfied. "I'm letting bygones be bygones since things did not get out of hand this time. I hope you will all serve the Martial Alliance loyally, especially Silverbell. Farewell."

With that, he drove away with the sports car he appropriated from Lubor.

"Farewell, master!" Jaden exclaimed even as he kowtowed thrice, and Frank was gone by the time he got up.

"Hehe..."

Silverbell watched as Frank left too.

All her doubts were gone, and she smiled in satisfaction, touching the spiritron vein on her chest.

Ring...

On the way back to Zamri, Frank received a call from Mona Fairfax.

It had been a while, and he was chuckling even as he snapped at her, "Where have you been, silly brat?"

Mona was quite the glutton but was a fine martial artist, and Frank had her play the role of Winter's personal bodyguard.

Winter had explained that Mona left some time ago to save her grandfather, who seemed to be in trouble.

Frank had been left speechless back then-not only did the brat not call him despite being in trouble, but she was nowhere to be found when he tried to look, and he had to be extra protective of Winter in her absence. Still, Mona was as cheeky as she always was, giggling. "Hehehe... Sorry about that, Master Lawrence. But I'm calling you now, aren't I?"
