It was supposed to be an occasion for Frank and Gina to mend things, only for it to turn out like this. "You heard your mother-in-law, brat. Quit hanging around and embarrassing her further already."

Theo sneered at Frank in contempt before turning toward Helen with a twinkle of obsession in his eyes. "Ms. Lane, you're as beautiful as you are successful, owning a big company like Lanecorp. You can have any man you like, so why would you pick someone like him?" "Just give up on him already-he's not just going to embarrass you, but he'd soon be dragging down Lanecorp's progress and reputation with him."

Then, whipping out a business card and shoving it into Helen's hand, Theo flashed a gentlemanly smile as he continued, "You can call me anytime if you need me, Ms. Lane. I'd even consider the possibility of jumping ship to work for someone as talented and as successful as you."

And with that, Theo and his mother Ilsa Mendy strode off triumphantly, leaving Helen standing there holding his business card awkwardly.

Frank glanced at the looks of contempt thrown his way in turn and waved Helen off. "Just go ahead and join your mother, Helen. I'll be there once I'm done here."

"Okay."

Helen nodded, and hesitated for a while before giving him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, Frank-I was too busy to go with you. This wouldn't have happened if I were there... You should bring Vicky or Noel along next time." "Yeah."

Frank nodded but soon paused in realization.

He could understand bringing Vicky along... But Noel?

Still, Helen already headed inside the wedding hall before Frank could say a word, leaving him sighing as he looked on.

He messed up.

He really thought that things would go well today, but as it turned out, he proved to be the problem here.

While he felt regret, he also came to realize that while this was a wedding, it was also an occasion for the parents to brag.

And Frank had certainly embarrassed Gina, and she could not be blamed for being so furious.

However, he was not the type who took things lying down-especially since he did not want things to go this way.

"Theo Whiteson, Ilsa Mendy..."

Frank repeated the names as he committed them to memory.

It was obvious that Ilsa had beef with Gina and went out of her way to nitpick any issue she could replace.

And Frank would turn things around if he could, just so that Gina would stop staring daggers at him or say stuff like Frank embarrassed her... That was when a ruckus ensued behind him, and he turned to see a man grimacing with a pale face while mobbed by a legion of fangirls. "Wait, isn't that...?"

Frank appeared surprised as he recognized the man.

And since he was standing near the entrance to the wedding hall, the man saw him in turn. His impatience melted away right then, replaced by delight. "Mister... I mean, Master Lawrence!"
