"It doesn't matter what Gable did," Yora retorted coolly. "Your husband doesn't get to kill him under my watch. And I'll have you know that the family has been complaining a lot lately, and some of those complaints even reached me all the way in Bralog. "And I just happened to be dropping by for a visit today. I actually thought that a brat like you would be actually competent, given how you're able to lead a major enterprise... But it's as frustrating as it is disappointing, because as it turns out, you have no conscience, allowing your husband to kill a member of the Lane family in front of me!"

Then, pointing at Frank, she finished, "I will now have him restrained and punished per family rules. If you refuse me, we will have to make you!"

Yora's rant was not just unreasonable, but she clearly held no respect for Helen as the head of the Lane family. "Family rules?"

Frank strode up just then, leveling Yora an icy glare. "We can afford you some respect as a matriarch of the Lane family, but don't think you can abuse your seniority and connections to do whatever you like. Understand that Helen is the head of the Lane family, not you!" "Head of the family?"

Surprisingly, Yora merely laughed coolly at Yora's words. "I don't care. The way I see it, Mark simply got so senile that he would let some brat take over. That's why I've returned-to shake things up, clear up this mess, and bring the family back on the right track!" "So, you're saying you don't care what Gable actually did?"

Frank scowled as he demanded, "All you want is to force Helen to step down as head of the family just because you don't like her?"

"Like I said!"

Yora snapped coolly. "I've come to see how Helen was doing as head of the family, but all I see is her tolerating her husband's vile behavior! That's why she doesn't deserve to lead the family!"

"Fine!"

Frank strode over, picking up the voice recorder from the table and smirked. "You want to know why I killed Gable? Then listen to this! It's the conversation he had with his so-called friend while buying his mother's medicine!"

He pressed the play button, and soon staticky voices could be heard, but there was no doubt that it was Gable and Sohil Zomer.

"So, I guess the hag's addiction is hurting, and she wants more? You're really horrible Fleur Lang is your mom, and you're still feeding her that?"

"Hah! I'd still be confined if not for that! It's supposed to be poison, but she's happily taking it since it invigorates her and keeps other symptoms in check!"

"You're a real piece of shit!"

Fleur turned pale even as Sohil and Gable burst out in laughter in the recording.

Frank was sneering at her, and then at Yora whose scowl was growing apparent. "Patience. This isn't the best part yet."

At the same time, he was thanking Noel York inwardly.

It was Noel who taught him to always carry a recorder around, to avoid problems he otherwise could not talk his way out of.

"Anyway, the hag's already poisoned the old man..."

As Gable's voice played on the recording once again, panic showed on Fleur's face, while Yora turned toward her with a look of surprise.
