Old man and security guard-when both terms are mentioned together, people would immediately think of the elderly security officers, standing guard at hotels, apartments, malls, even parking lots.

And yet, Madfist as a security guard was not the average security guard, but one who could defeat thousands by himself.

Neither Frank nor Silverbell could hide a chuckle at the thought.

Scarface soon joined in, realizing what they were laughing about.

Only Madfist still drew a blank, a stark contrast to the other three.

Nonetheless, once Scarface and Madfist recovered their energy, Frank tended to their injuries, including Madfist's pierced shoulder blade and Scarface's facial scars.

After that, he sent someone to bring them uniforms for security officers of the Lanecorp Health and Safety Department. "Here's the suits for work."

Scarface could cry right then. "So we really are security guards!"

Just a moment ago, he was a burly hunk in a suit, looking especially intimidating with his hades.

Now, he looked like some silly bumpkin who was unhappy with life as a farmer and came to the city to live on two grand per month.

However, Madfist looked even more ridiculous.

Once he put on his uniform, he was a hundred percent your typical elderly security guard. That impression was only further enforced with his slight hunch, since his shoulder blades had yet to recover after Frank applied his medicine. Even Silverbell, who was always stoic and aloof, was left sprawled on the table laughing when she saw her predecessor in that getup.

While Scarface looked like a bonehead, he was laughing at Madfist too.

Frank was laughing as well, though it was because Scarface and Madfist looked exactly like a pair of doormen when they stood together.

But that was also exactly what he wanted they would be Lanecorp's surprise bouncers!

Who would dare challenge these two? And if they did, they would be subdued on the spot, so Frank did not have to worry about security at Lanecorp Tower and would have time for other matters.

Still, the night passed quickly.

As morning arrived, Frank brought Scarface and Madfist along back to Riverton, ready to rescue Gavin Lane.

Silverbell excused herself in the night, leaving since there was plenty of work to do at the Martial Alliance.

After seeking her help at Blackwater, Frank also made up his mind to see the big picture.

And by sheer coincidence, Trevor Zurich called just before they headed to Riverton. "Mr. Lawrence, I was just informed where the exchange with Gavin Lane's kidnapper would be. It's Silicon Karaoke Box in Riverton, and that place has ties to the black market. "Moreover, we've confirmed that the kidnapper was indeed Horey Lindt of Cloudnine Sect, just as you've suspected. I've tracked her whereabouts, and she was last spotted in Riverton."

"So it really is her." Frank nodded, but he furrowed his brow in confusion. "By the way, you said she was going to make an exchange with Helen? Did Helen actually get a Bloodcrane Spiritbloom?"

"I'm not sure, but if she did, it would be from Huub Droitner. They met last night, where Huub gave her a curious wooden box-the box itself looked expensive."

Frank's brow creased further. "They met last night?"
