Jade studied Gina just then. "Does your family have that much influence? The bastard was quitepompous and probably was well-connected himself."

Gina quickly smiled, not one to be put down. "We do have some influence here in Riverton. Oh, andI forgot—Helen here is partnered with the Turnbull family. Y'know, one of the top families in thecapital.”

"Really? I guess you don't amount to nothing." Jade snorted haughtily, still dismissive towardsGina's family. "By the way, have you heard about the Fielden family's hundred-year old drakeroot?”"Of course.” Gina quickly nodded, although she had also heard that it was a family heirloom for theFieldens.
