Chapter 33

Bang….Bang….Bang….

What the heck is that? I slowly get up trying to push Asher’s arm off me without waking me. His arm won’t budge if anything it keeps getting tighter and tighter around me so I finally just shove as hard as I can and roll off the bed. My body makes a thump noise but I don’t have time to whine about the pain in my side because the person at the door was still banging on it like crazy.

I rip the door open getting ready to rip this person a new butt hole but stop myself when I see the Beta looking nervous as hell.

“What is wrong? Is your family ok? The pack?” I am pretty sure a thousand different scenarios were running in my mind and none of them were any good.

“I am so sorry Alpha Ryder. I thought I had enough men protecting the jail and enough following his son around.” He wouldn’t even look me in the eye and I knew it was killing him on the inside that he failed the first day of having a new alpha.

“I think my brain is still asleep. Can you explain what you are talking about?” I open the door farther and let him in. I can hear the guys getting up and heading our way. Took their lazy asses long enough to get here. If they pack had been attacked they would have been useless to us.

“Gamma Nick…He escaped along with his mate and his son. I have a feeling a few pack members went with them. There are still a few that believe the males are above the females sadly. I am so sorry.” I could hear the breathing of my guys behind me start to build up with adrenaline. I knew they wanted to go replace Richard and beat his a*s for everything but it wouldn’t do any good. He was raised by Nick and Jessica who probably learned their hate from their families or a close family friend. We needed to replace the roots of the hate and stupidity in the pack so we could yank it out completely.

“This is not your fault. You have held many prisoners in that jail and none have escaped. Nick and his family couldn’t have done this without pack members help along with a few choice elders most likely. Have a few trusted warriors check over every inch of the jail and their house. I want to know what they have hidden from the pack and where their loyalties lie. Also send someone to check to see who is missing from the elders before searching their house as well. Tomorrow evening we can search the old Alpha’s house for anything hidden.” I see my mates nodding in agreement before looking back at the beta. “One last thing. Can you get your wife to plan a Sunday BBQ for the whole pack? I would love to get to know everyone and see what they all think should change to help make this a better, more cohesive pack. “ I smile sweetly but I knew he wouldn’t say no and neither would his mate.

He chuckled before agreeing and heading back down to help the warriors with the new tasks.

“Hey Beta. Make sure you just ASSIGN the tasks do not do it yourself. You are not at fault and you need some sleep so you can help train tomorrow.” He g*****d but agreed.

I shut the door and look at the guys. “Do you guys think I did the right thing? I know that we could take care of the searching but I figured it would make the warriors feel better since it happened on their watch. Plus I have to be able to function for classes tomorrow and work on not wolfing out on everyone.” I walked into Blake’s arms and rested my head on his chest.

“You did great, Ryder. Lets get you back to bed for a few more hours of rest. I have seen you cranky and I do not want to be that person on the other end.” Andrew winked before kissing my head and heading back to his room.

“Goodnight baby.” Blake squeezed me tighter before letting go and going back to his room. I looked at Asher and grabbed his hand before leading him back to his room.

“Hold me, Asher. I know s**t is going to hit the fan at every turn and I need your strength to get through it.” He pulled me close once the lights were out and we were under the covers.

“Goodnight baby girl.” He nuzzled into me and I drifted off.

BEEEP…..BEEEEEP…..

“Son of a biscuit eater! I hate mornings!” I searched the side table for my phone without lifting my head off the pillow but I couldn’t replace it. It kept going off and I was about to lose my s**t when I heard snickering. “Who ever moved my alarm and is allowing it to continue to make my head hurt will die today. Fix the issue right the fudge now!” The alarm turned off instantly and I grinned. Already they are being good little bitches so hopefully they can make it through the day.

“Ryder get your cute butt up before we are late. I made your breakfast to go!” Andrew yelled so loud and I am pretty sure he knew he yelled like an angry mother of ten teenagers.

“Shut your face!” It only took me about ten minutes before I was headed toward the kitchen to gulp down a huge cup of coffee so I could function.

“Well, look it’s the walking dead. Now could you focus and help me with shirt. How in the hell do you girls tie things behind your back without help every morning is beyond me.” Andrew was tapping his foot waiting for me to focus on him.

I looked over and started to laugh my butt off. He was wearing a plaid schoolgirl skirt with white stockings and black converse. The shirt was a white crop top that tied in the back and he even went as far as to put his school supplies in a purse. I searched out Blake and saw him in a matching outfit except his skirt was a green color.

“Where the hell did you guys get these outfits?” I barely got the question out between snickers.

“I called in a few favors. Just be glad we want you as much as we do because this thong is halfway up my a*s and I am not a fan. “ Blake growled as he was pulling out a wedgie but couldn’t quite get a hold of the thong.

I tied Andrews shirt and had them stand next to each other for a photo shoot. They wanted me to promise not to post on any social media but I made no such promise. I sent a pic to the fab four group chat and everyone had a huge laugh out of it. They couldn’t wait to see it all in person so they would be waiting by the front doors of the school.

“Now where are the signs for you to wear? Everyone has to know I own you and what not.” I winked while making me a cup of coffee. They guys rolled their eyes and headed to get the signs. I think they thought I would forget about it but they were sadly mistaken.

“Ryder, I love when you get petty. Can you make them my bitches for a day?” Asher snuck up behind me and landed a k**s on my neck where a mate mark would go. It made my body shiver deliciously.

“I will not. You will have to get something to hold over them for that and there shouldn’t be a problem with that. They both do stupid s**t all the time when they are together.” He nodded in agreement and got his phone out to take a picture of the boys with their signs.

“Ok, Ok. No more. Ryder get your a*s headed to the car. I want this day over with and you in bed with me.” Blake pulled me away from Asher and headed toward the door. I looked over at Asher and mouthed bye. He just laughed and held his coffee cup up in response.

We all rode with Asher in one of the packs smaller SUV’s since it was just us. The drive to the school was about thirty minutes so I had time to look up my assignments that I had missed. There were several but none looked that hard so I could make that up in a few days.

“Ok my nerdy girl. We are here and I have to ask if this is the punishment you really want from us. “ I could see the hope blooming in Andrew’s eyes so I smiled before answering.

“Yup. Get your sexy asses out of the car so the school can see what your working with. “ I got out first and walked toward the front of the vehicle waiting for the guys. Before they could even get out I heard the gasps from several cheerleaders from me getting out of Andrew’s car. Our feud wasn’t a secret and many of the more popular members of the school followed his lead. Maybe the other guys would follow his lead and wear sexy outfits to school on another day? Doubtful but one could hope.

“Oh my god! What are you wearing Andrew? Blake? Go home and get . I will not be seen with you looking like that.” Amber screeches before rushing over to us. She bulldozes me over making me land hard on the cement in surprise. Blue is not happy, and I had to hold back from hopping up to whip some cheerleader a*s.

Blake ignores her and the rest of the cheerleaders pushing them out of his way to get to me. He helps me up and k****s my cheek. I heard gasps from around us before shouting that I wasn’t good enough for him, that I was tricking him into like me, and one girl even said I would suck at taking care of his needs, so he needed to come back to her.

“SHUT UP! Gosh, its like being beside a group of squawking birds.” Andrew moved until he was on my other side and kissed my other cheek. “Read the signs and deal with it. Blake and I are Ryder’s so mess with her, you mess with us. “

I gasped from surprise. I didn’t think he would make an announcement like that. I figured he would just do the bare minimum today and hope for the best. I grabbed both of their hands before turning to the girls crowded around us and looked Amber in the eyes.

“Are done here, baby? I need something to drink before class but I can’t decide between orange juice and chocolate milk.” I did a pouty face at them both waiting for them to hop up and take care of my needs.

Blake smirked and shook his head. “I got you baby. Ill meet you at your first class with both of them. You deserve them and so much more. “ What a good suck up.

“What the actual f**k? What are you doing to them? Andrew is MINE so let go of him before I make you!” Amber stepped closer and her voice became more of a squeal like a dying pig. “Blake is not yours either. This month he is to be with Stacy. Go replace you a loser who will put up with your average a*s!” She tried to grab me but Andrew grabbed her wrist before she could put her fingers on me. I just smirked at her before blowing her a k**s.

“NEVER and I mean never put your hands on her. I was never yours so get that in your head now. Blake and I are both Ryders. Get to class.” Andrew stepped back and grabbed my hand while picking up my backpack to head inside.
