Chapter 47

We made it back to the pack shortly after with me falling back asleep as I walked up the stairs before Asher picked me up bridal style and carried me. I put my head on his chest and took a deep breath. I really did love how they each smelled and the tingles that shot up my arms when I touched them. My body felt so dang tired and I could feel the darkness tugging at me. Maybe I wasn’t getting enough sleep so I needed to make that a priority.

I woke up with my body screaming in pain. I covered in sweat and I shoved to covers off of me. The guys were still sound asleep around me so I tried to sneak by them the best I could before I had another strike of pain go through my body. I didn’t make it to the bathroom before my body felt like it was on fire and I fell to the floor screaming. The guys woke up and jumped to their feet looking around for an intruder before seeing me on the ground. I was curled up hugging my body as tight as I could to replace some sort of relief.

“What’s wrong? Where do you hurt?” Blake ran to my side and tried to touch me. I blocked his hand and yelled for him to stop.

“Every…Ev..Everything hurttttts. Badddd. Too much. Help. “ I was barely able to get my words out. I thought about shifting but I couldn’t feel Blue. It felt like we were cut off and I started to freak out. I could hear the guys linking for a doctor and for anyone to look up what they might be.

“Could this be her heat?” I think it was Andrew asking this but I had my eyes closed tight and my breathing was loud enough to block most things out.

“No, she has no urges toward us. She is pushing us away.” Asher answered him as he brought a cold wash cloth for my head. That felt so good. More of that please!

“Its too soon. Its when about three weeks after we mate when it happens.” Blake tells them as he is just kneeling by me and staring. I looked over at him and tried to smile but it looked more like a grimace.

“So what is it?” Before I could try to figure out who asked that my pain moved to my spine and shot through it like a lightening bold. My back bowed forward as I reached around to try to hold it in place. I started to scream at some point but I don’t know when.

“PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP. MY BACK. MY SPINE. I CAN’T TAKE IT. SOMEONE KNOCK ME OUT. KILL ME PLEASE!” The next thing I know I feel a small prick and people holding me down as I started thrashing around. Within minutes my world was black and pain free. Thank you to whoever helped me.

I woke up to screaming and my body feeling like I had been run over by a diesel before they decided to back it over me again. I couldn’t make out the words but the raised pitch of voice was killing my ears. I g*****d and heard silence before someone grabbed my hand. I felt light tingles so I had to be on of my mates. I wanted to hear what they were saying and tell them I was here but I just couldn’t open my eyes. I could feel the blackness pulling me back under before I could tell them I was ok or see if Blue was back.

I woke up a second time to silence minus the beeps from one of the machines at the hospital. It smelled like a sterile room and I couldn’t sense if my mates were close or not. I could feel my heart picking up speed as I started to panic and my eyes shot open. I looked around the room and didn’t see anyone. I did see a few piles of blankets and that warmed my heart a bit but I didn’t want to be alone right now. I wanted to know what was happening. I felt for Blue and felt her presence, but it was subdued like something was holding her back. Did witches get to me? Am I dying?

‘He..lp..Help.” I barely croaked out a sign of distress. My throat was sore probably from the screaming when it felt like my insides were turning into liquid and that a T-rex was stepping on my back for the fun of it.

The door slammed open a second later with my three mates leading a trail of people. My parents and Trixie came in behind them along with Jared. My mates took turns hugging me a little too tight but I made me feel better, stronger even.

“The next time you scare us like this your in big trouble.” Blake whispered as he let go of me. I shivered but I wasn’t cold. I looked at him and challenged him. He grinned and I knew when I was healthy enough I was in for a s******g. Blue let out a small bark and it made me smile. I could feel the strength coming back especially with my mates being so close.

“My baby! I was so worried. I thought I was going to lose you and I just couldn’t take it.” My mom wailed as she clutched me. My dad scooted past her to my other side while Trixie just climbed up and laid her head on my stomach with her body on my legs. I started to cry along side them all.

“I am ok, guys. I can feel my strength coming back and it feels like I may even be stronger. Was this suppose to happen when I finally marked my mates?” I asked my mom and looked behind her before speaking again.

“I just found out about any of this. I knew multiple mates means more strength but all this was not part of the information I was told by your mother. I only know a little know because Jared explained it to me in the hallway so I would quit freaking out on your mates. I am saying sorry now if you replace a mark on them or a scar. I may have turned into a crazy person to get to you and protect you.” She looked ashamed but I was proud of her.

“Momma if I see a scar I will be so excited that you took on a might alpha and made him your bitch.” Everyone laughed except my mates. I got the glare from them but it was worth it to see them all relax a little.

“Language young lady. I am glad your safe and so I will let you get a warning this time.” My dad tried to keep his stern face on but it didn’t work. He kissed my forehead and told me he loved me. A man of few works as usual.

I looked down at Trixie and opened my arms for her. She took that as her cue to crawl up me like a monkey and hug me super tight. I kissed the top of her head and held her. I didn’t need to say anything and neither did she. We both knew how each other felt and I was lucky to have that bond.

“Princess Ryder I am so glad to see you awake and feeling better. I hate that this is the way we are seeing each other again.” Jared stepped forward and bowed to me. It made me giggle because he is a big man with broad shoulders who looked to be about my dads age and he was bowing to little old me. He looked at me like he was questioning my sanity.

“Sorry. Your just a big guy who just bowed to me and ive never been bowed to on top of that.” He laughed with me after I explained myself.

“Well let it me be the first of many who bow to you. I told your mother some of the things I know about the mating bond between multiple mates. My sons are twins which is rare for werewolves. One of the many reasons is that they share a mate but if that person has multiple mates they count as one mate since they are the same. With you having six each time you add one to the mate bond you all grow stronger but there is a downside. Your body had to prepare for the strength and that is what happened last night. You are now three times stronger than an alpha male in all wolf aspects. Your mates are twice as strong. You will always be able to beat them” He winked at that and my mates growled.

“I vote you don’t do the mate bond with the rest of the mates. There are three more and each time it gets stronger. You shouldn’t have to go through that.” I could hear the panic in Andrew’s voice. I smiled over at him and mind linked him that I was ok.

“I would never not mark my mates. They are mine and I am theirs. None of you would of be ok with not being marked and you know it.” I defended although I was not looking forward to that pain again.

“If they are her fated mates they need each other. I am sorry this is the pain you will have to deal with.” He looked sad but distant for a minute.” I brought my sons with me since this was a longer journey and they also wanted to meet you. I watch over the castle and the grounds while farming. My boys have tested as Alphas but stick by with protecting the people that remain. They would like to come see you before we let you rest?” He seemed a bit nervous about it.

“Are you ok with them coming up?” I held my head to the side to study him.

“Yes, Princess. They are just a bunch of immature dorks sometimes and I can tell they are really excited to meet you. I am just hoping they don’t embarrass me.” He looked at the floor.

“Hey Jared. No matter what they do I have probably done worse so just breath. They can come up.” He let them know via mind link while I looked for my phone to check on my friends and to let them know how everything was going. I hadn’t messaged in a few days and they tend to worry.

I heard the door open and got a whiff of one of the most intoxicating smells. It smelled like the smell of a brand new book when you first open it mixed with vanilla bean. I whipped my head from my phone and saw two huge guys who I instantly wanted to lick all over.

“These are my sons Knox and Kane.” Jared was smiling at me but when he saw us frozen looking at each other he started to freak out. “I can have them leave if you are uncomfortable, Princess.”

“We aren’t going anywhere Father.” One of them said. No clue which is which, just yet.

“We will never leave our mate.” The other states as they walk closer.
