“It was Melanie who started it but her best friends helped spread it. Their families were with them as well pushing people to turn on each other. They made my mommy turn meaner than before when she took their side and daddy didn’t stand with them.”

Now I knew who hurt them and this woman was only safe until this was over then she was mine. I wouldn’t kill her but her children deserved better. I was going to replace out what was going on with ALL the pack before the week was over and make some more big changes. Hope everyone was ready.

“I should of known you would be a snitch. I can’t wait to see the new bruises your mommy gives you for this.” Melanie sneers as she walks up swinging her h**s like she was the sexiest thing around. I barfed in my mouth a little and the two girls laughed.

‘Hey, Sandra. Can you walk these girls to my mom for now? Please let her know that they are not to go to their dad or mother before I get to speak to them.’ I linked Sandra so I could get the girls to safety and away from their parents before they were taken home to get a beating for telling the truth.

‘Yes. Your mother is standing with us to the side of you. I would ask why they can’t go to their parents but I suspect you have a good reason.’ She linked back and I gave slight nod.

“You got stop acting like you’re hot stuff when we all know your as powerless as a wolf can come. You can’t fight, you have no power behind your bark, and your useless in anything to actually help the pack. The only reason people stick by your side is they are afraid of your family or they are gullible enough to believe your lies.” She stopped in her tracks and started to reply but I held my hand up. “YOU WERE NEVER GOING TO BE A LUNA OR THE MATE OF AN ALPHA. YOU WERE A QUICK f**k AND A SHITTY ONE AT THAT. BUT ALL T HAT IS BESIDES THE POINT. HOW ABOUT I SHOW THE PACK WHY I AM ROYAL AND WHY I WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN YOU.” I was yelling pushing my power through my voice because I was livid. This was high school drama and was only hurting our pack. I raised an eyebrow waiting for her response. You could read the fear in her body and I could hear Andrew trying to hold back a laugh.

“And if no one believes Ryder than believe me. Mel and I had s*x ONE TIME that took a whole five minutes before I was disgusted. I have already apologized to my mate and she knows she is the only one for me. I am mated to the strongest wolf not only in this pack but in all of the wolves. She was meant to have many mates so that we could handle her strength, courage, loyalty, and love.” Andrew yelled out.

Lindsay and Emily walked out to stand behind Melanie. I could see warriors holding back a few wolves who look like they want to tear the three of them into tiny pieces but this needed to be done fairly and publicly. I was at a loss on what to do because she wasn’t a strong wolf so there was no reason to challenge her but I had to.

“What I want to know is why the goddess would happen to give you BOTH sons of the former Alpha right before you kill him? Hmm… I think you have a witch up your sleeve and just wanted this pack for yourself.” After her statement I heard people start to ask the same questions and glared at me like I had even tried to bewitch them.

“Ok seems fair to question the wants of your Goddess. I mean she is the only one who picks your fated mate which can’t be changed or manipulated by magic but who am I to stand in your way of self-destruction.” I smiled at her innocently. “I killed your old Alpha because he was a piece of s**t. He only cared about power for himself and didn’t care who he had to stand on to get there. He wanted to use me to conceive the strongers children and he would of tried to kill his current children to make way for the new ones. He also came onto my families property and started his beef with me. I just ended it. There was plenty of witnesses. I actually see a few standing by your parents.” I look at the three warriors who did the right thing by looking ashamed before stepping away from the crowd. Weak is what they are.

“I would never question her.” She defended herself but it was no use. We all knew what she meant with her previous statement and I saw several of her supporters stop yelling in her defense and walk away.

“Sure but it doesn’t matter. I am sick of all of this.” I take a deep breath before mind linking the entire pack to show how much power I have. This time I am putting a few pictures in their mind which takes more power but I had the strength now.

‘I am the Royal Princess Ryder. I am the last living royal and Alpha of this pack. I won the right to this position and I will show you how.’ I showed them pictures of the battle, pictures of the previous Oliver trying to cheat, and how I won the battle. I showed them the innocent lives we found in the dungeon and let free before pushing my feelings of love into their minds for my mates, my family, and my pack.

Melanie was shocked to say the least and started floundering with a response to try to prove me wrong. She looked back at her parents and they were glaring at her. I am not sure if it was them wondering my they backed her on this or the fact that she was speechless.

“I don’t think it matters who your parents are. We should pick who we want on the throne. We should pick the strongest wolf out there to be our king not some teenage drama queen who spends too much time in the bedroom with her mates!” One of the older males yelled from the crowd and the wolves around him started egging him on to say more and how much they agreed with him.

“Why should it be a king? Why not a queen? We all know the women are the backbones of the pack. They think logically, are more organized, replace ways to fix things other than wars, and show the love they have to all members.” Knox replied which made me smile. He was a smart guy and knew the real power of women. Men were also strong but in other areas.

“Also why would we pick who was on the throne when we don’t even pick the Alpha? It stays within the family because of their strength and power. They can be challenged but it is hard to beat an alpha unless you are one. Are you doing to challenge for the throne? I would put my money on her winning!” Some yelled from the side that was defending me.

“Listen I don’t care about any of this right now. It is not what is important. We are about to go to war against creatures that already took us out! I want what you all want and that is to take back what is ours! No more fear of nightly raids with witches lending their strength to the vampires, no more fear of our children being sucking dry anytime they even look out a window, and no more being overwhelmed in small plots of land! My parents died fight and protecting all of us.” I pleaded with all of them. “A pack divided is a dead pack! We have to work together and in sync for all of this to work. In a few months time my mates and I are leaving to replace other packs to get them ready to fight as well. We need all the support we can get!” I felt like I was ready to cry over repeating all of this weekly and still people wanted to make things even more difficult.

“Your parents didn’t give you away to keep you safe. They gave you away because they knew you would be a w***e and a disappointment. “Melanie shouted. Everyone’s eyes landed on her and went silent. She had taken it too far and the whole pack knew it.

My eyes started to glow purple. It was even brighter than normal. Blue pushed forward mixing herself with me to show she was there for me. I was stunned. I wanted to kill her on the spot but I couldn’t do that if I wanted to put our pack back together.

I ran at her grabbing her throat and lifting her off the ground. “I CHALLENGE YOU, MELANIE, IN A FIGHT TO THE DEATH. MAY THE BEST b***h WIN! I WILL SEE YOU AT 9PM AT THE TRAINING GROUNDS. THIS ENDS TONIGHT.” I dropped her to the floor, turned my back on her, and walked away. I could hear her sobbing on the ground trying to get someone to feel sorry for her while she blamed me for all her problems. It seemed more and more were less inclined to believe her.
