The Lawyer’s Romance in Law -
Chapter 299
Chapter 299 Did He Say He Will Protect You?
Elias arrived at the corridor and searched everywhere, but there was no sign of Amanda. Was I hallucinating just now? But that's impossible! Amanda has to be in the Momsey Residence, but Yacob said that he couldn't replace her. Is she being hidden somewhere?
In the end, he returned to the garden and saw that Yacob and Taylor were still fighting with each other.
Elias had no intention of wasting any more time since his son was still in the hospital and needed someone to be with him, not to mention that Amanda could not be located, and there were still many things in the company that needed his decision-making.
"Yacob, let's leave."
After that, he left without looking back.
Yacob was confused. Are we just leaving like that? You haven't even found Amanda, but you're leaving? However, since Elias had already said the word, Yacob had no choice but to obey as a bodyguard.
And so, he threw Taylor aside. "Consider it your luck. If we ever run into each other again, I'll end you."
"Pffi!" Taylor spat out a mouthful of blood and wiped off the blood from his nose. He straightened his posture before he panted. "Yacob, you refused to follow me and chose at violent man like Elias back then. Sure enough, you've been influenced by him."
Yacob snorted coldly. "There's no future if I were to work for you. On top of that, you are not an intelligent man. I advise you to stop causing trouble. If you continue doing this, you'll probably end up ruining the Momsey Family."
Although Elias had a lot of things on his plate and his position in the company was unstable, it was more than enough to trample a small family like the Momseys to their death.
Taylor looked at Yacob and Elias leaving before he turned to the bodyguards of the Momsey Residence and growled, "Look at you idiots! Why should I hire you? You can't defeat others. and don't even know how to protect me. I'm better off having a dog! At least it will be more useful! From now on, get the hell out of here. The lot of you are not allowed to set foot here anymore from today onward!" At that, he turned and entered the residence.
Taylor felt emotionally off. Why can't I do such a simple thing as having a group of good
bodyguards? Am I so blind that I chose a gang of idiots?
Yet, Yacob, whom Elias chose, was loyal and would go through hell for the man.
Outside the Momsey Residence, Elias walked toward his car while Yacob followed him. "Mr. Winters, what should we do if we can't locate Miss Bailey? Did Taylor really send her into hiding?" "I actually found her. She's in the Momsey Residence."
"What? I searched around just now, but I couldn't locate her. I ended up replaceing Rosie." Yacob was puzzled.
Elias opened the door and looked at Yacob, who was next to him. "I saw her. She's free and not being imprisoned, so if you can't locate her, it means she is in hiding."
"Why would she go into hiding? Doesn't she know that Aiden needs her a lot? How could she hide at this time?"
This was what Yacob couldn't figure out-a mother hiding her child when he was sick and refusing to allow anyone to locate her. What kind of psychological trick is she playing?
"That's because Taylor most likely is holding something over her head, so she has to remain obedient. In fact, she really misses Aiden and wants us to replace her."
Yacob's eyes widened. "Could it be that he slept with her?"
As soon as he said those words, it earned him a glare from Elias as the man growled, "Get lost!"
"Then, why else would she avoid us? I really can't think of any other reasons." In Yacob's mind, Taylor sleeping with Amanda was the worst possible outcome. Otherwise, she would not have evaded reality. Elias entered the car. "We'll know when we replace her. Until then, let's head back to the hospital. Aiden should be awake now."
The current Aiden was sensitive and weak, on top of needing company all the time. As such, Elias did not want Aiden not to see either his mother or father when he opened his eyes.
At the same time, Amanda hid in the bedroom and cried.
When she saw Elias being punched violently in the corridor earlier, tears swam in her eyes.
She thought that she would never feel any heartache or anything about the man's injury, but her heartache could not be described.
Am I still in love with him...
Just when Elias looked up and met her gaze, she turned around and fled in fright.
Amanda had a complicated feeling. On the one hand, she wanted him to locate her, but on the other hand, she didn't want him to replace her.
I suddenly feel that Elias is pitiful. He must be in distress, considering that he has to deal with the company, head to the hospital to accompany Aiden, and still carve the time out to look for me. Even if a person has eight hands, there still won't be enough time.
Aiden, who couldn't see her, would definitely rely more on Elias, which made Amanda cry even more when she thought about it.
How can these ten days be so difficult and long? She merely wanted the ten days to fly past and take Taylor to donate his bone marrow to Aiden.
The bedroom door was suddenly pushed open.
She looked up and saw that it was Taylor walking in with a bruised face.
When Amanda saw the wound on his face, she guessed that he had been severely punched. earlier and felt better immediately. She thought only Elias had been punched, but at the sight of Taylor's injured face, she knew that Elias should be all right.
She wiped away her tears and stood up.
Taylor looked at her tear-stained face and asked, "Why? Did seeing your ex-husband being punched make you so distressed? Do you want to return to him? I mean, he tried his best to replace you." She refused to answer him and stood up to search for Rosie.
"Where are you going?"
"Of course, I'm going to do what I have to do. I'll have you know that everything I do is for my son's bone marrow transplant. You better keep your promise, or I'll really end your life." Amanda turned and left, not wanting to spare Taylor another glance.
Back in the bedroom, Amanda saw Rosie hiding in the corner and shivering as she hugged her pillow. It was as if she had been frightened by something.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm so scared. Someone bullied me just now. I was so scared, but Eli did not come. He said he would protect me," Rosie responded with innocence. Elias said that he would protect her, huh? Amanda was stunned for a while. "He said he would. protect you?"
"Yes. Eli said that he would protect me."
Immediately after that, she laughed again because a lunatic's words could never be treated seriously.
On second thought, what if Rosie is only pretending to be insane? Up until now, I don't know whether she is really insane or just putting on an act.
"Did you know that Elias is married?" Amanda tentatively asked as she observed Rosie's expression.
At this, the smile on Rosie's face disappeared as she asked angrily, "What? That's impossible! Whom did Eli marry? It's impossible!"
"Not only is he married, but he also loves his wife a lot," Amanda continued.
