Chapter 312 Both the Child and You

At Winters Estate.

"Are they back yet? Will that Amanda woman be sleeping here?" Rosie asked as she sat at the vanity table.

The maid beside her replied, "I don't think so. She's only here during the day and leaves at night!

Rosie chuckled. How pretentious. She obviously wants to stay but keeps using this method to get Eli's attention. Does Eli like this sort of fake and pretentious woman No! Eli just hasn't seen her true colors yet.

Rosie was beginning to suspect that Amanda got pregnant because she drugged Elias, or otherwise, he wouldn't have been interested in her at all.

In Rosie's eyes, Elias was the most exalted Prince Charming that she couldn't even touch, and yet Amanda was able to jump in halfway and bear his child.

Meanwhile, Aiden was brought to the room that had been prepared for a child a long time ago.

When Amanda walked into the room, she was startled by the interior. It looked as if a lot of time and effort had gone into setting it up-certainly not within a couple of days. "Whoa..... It looks so cool, Daddy,"

"Do you like it? You can sleep here." Elias, who was carrying his son, could see the boy's sparkling eyes and gaping mouth.

"I do! I like it!" Aiden nodded fervently and struggled to get down.

Elias set Aiden down on the carpet.

Aiden began scampering all over the room in joy.

Amanda looked at the man beside her. "Did you start preparing this room when you found out you had a child?"

That was what her gut was telling her..

Elias didn't respond, but his silence served as his tacit acknowledgment.

Amanda scoffed. "I knew it. You still haven't given up yet. You still want to snatch him away."

She thought Elias would remain silent, but this time, he spoke up. "You're wrong," he said slowly. "I want to snatch both him and you back here."

What?

Amanda's eyes widened. "In your dreams!"

Elias let out a self-deprecating laugh. "You're right. I was dreaming, and now that I'm awake, I don't want. anything else, except to see that you and Aiden are doing well." After the loss of so many family members, he gained a new understanding.

There were people that he didn't need to keep beside him. He was willing to distance himself from them if their lives were better off without him.

Amanda fell silent. She didn't know what to say.

Just then, Aiden ran over and threw himself at Amanda. His arms were wrapped tightly around her slender legs.

"I like it here, Mommy. Let's sleep here tonight! I want you and Daddy to sleep beside me!"

Amanda had no words. She truly didn't want to return to this estate. For some reason, she felt deeply uncomfortable.

She slowly crouched down and looked at her son's innocent face. "You can sleep here tonight, Aiden. I have things I need to do so I'll be going home tonight. Do you want to go home with me?"

In all honesty, she didn't feel inclined to leave Aiden in the same place as Rosie. She kept getting a strange feeling about Rosic.

"Don't, Mommy. Stay here with me. I want to stay here with both Daddy and Mommy." Aiden began to cajole once more. He got a taste of sweet success before.

His mother always gave in to him whenever he pouted and acted like a baby, but he was too young to know that everyone went along with his wishes because he was ill.

Amanda felt helpless, but she couldn't explain the situation to Aiden, so all she could do was smile and agree. "Okay then."

"Yay! You're the best, Mommy!" Aiden turned around and threw himself onto the large bed.

Elias was a little surprised to see that Amanda agreed to it. He cocked his eyebrows and asked, "Does that mean you're sleeping here tonight?"

"In your dreams! I'm just humoring the child. Are you a child too? I'll go home once Aiden falls asleep. Lend me a car." Amanda glared at him.

The light faded from Elias' eyes. "Oh... They're all in the garage. You can pick whichever one you want."

Pick whichever one I want, huh... What a high-sounding thing to say. Well, he does have the right to say that.

Elias once indulged in a hedonistic lifestyle, so his garage was filled with all kinds of sports cars.

At dinnertime.

On this rare occasion, Elias sat at the dining table to eat with Amanda and Aiden.

However, Rosie came over with a fake smile and asked, "Eli, can I have dinner with you guys? It's so lonely over there. I don't want to eat all by myself." Elias glanced at her and replied coolly, "Fine."

Rosie sat down opposite Aiden and greeted him. "Good evening, Aiden. You need to eat your meals. properly so that you can grow up all big and strong."

"Hmph!" Aiden turned his head away. He didn't want to bother with Rosie.

Rosie instantly looked hurt. "Did I say something I shouldn't have?"

From the way things played out, it was Aiden who was being impolite, which meant that Amanda failed to teach him how to behave.

Amanda had no choice but to pretend to chide Aiden. Aiden, that's a little impolite of you. Miss Rosie here just saved your life. We need to know how to be grateful, right?" "Hmph!" Aiden refused to listen. He simply continued eating.

Rosie chuckled awkwardly. "Forget it. Kids are all like that. I won't take it to heart."

This only made Aiden seem even ruder. Elias' expression grew stern. "Aiden, you need to be polite to others, do you understand?"

"Yes..." Aiden was forced to compromise under the pressure that Elias was exerting, but he pouted aggrievedly.

Amanda felt bad to see her son looking so glum. She stroked his head and said, "Hurry up and finish your dinner. When you're done, I'll take you back to your room and tell you a story. When can we go for a dip in the hot spring, Mommy? She can do it. I want to do it too." Aiden still. remembered what Rosie said at the hospital about the hot spring.

Aiden frowned. "Didn't we agree to watch some cartoons first before we go to the hot spring?"

"Oh... Then, you better not forget, Daddy."

Elias didn't know what to say. He wanted to distract Aiden so that the latter would forget about the hot spring.

Rosie smiled and said, "You're too young so you can't soak in the hot spring, plus you only just regained your health. You need to wait for a while."

"I'm not sick! Hmph!" Aiden stabbed his food with his fork with a long face.

Elias continued piling food onto his son's plate. "That's right. You're not sick. Be a good boy and eat up. and once you're done with dinner, we'll watch cartoons together."

For the next ten minutes, all was peaceful around the dining table. Everyone ate their own food without disturbing each other.

Aiden was the only one who constantly spoke, asking his parents to give him a bite of this and a spoonful

of that.
