Chapter 314 You're Being Unreasonable, Daddy!

Amanda made her way to Winters Estate in the morning, but she ran into some traffic.

Aiden was already awake, so the household staff had to lie and say that Amanda was in the shower. They made him some milk to keep him distracted.

He sat on the couch in the living room and drank his milk while watching cartoons as he waited for Amanda.

"Slow down, Mr. Aiden. Don't choke on your milk. Miriam Wallaby stayed with Aiden. She didn't dare to leave his side for even a second. It had been a clear order from Elias.

Just then, Rosic came in.

Miriam saw Rosie and instinctively wanted to take Aiden away. "Let's go back to your room and wait for your mommy," she murmured to Aiden. "Come quickly."

"I don't want to! I want to stay here and watch cartoons! Aiden pouted and remained seated on the couch with his milk. He refused to leave.

Miriam felt helpless. She couldn't force him to leave.

Why do you want to leave as soon as I come over? Are you trying to avoid me, Mrs. Wallaby?" Rosie had a smile on her face, but a rather frightening one.

Miriam didn't even dare to look up as she shook her head and said, "You misunderstood me, Miss Momsey. Mr. Aiden needs to get changed."

"His clothes look fine to me. There's no reason for him to get changed. Rosie sat down beside Aiden.

Aiden was so caught up in his cartoons that he didn't notice Rosie sitting beside him.

Rosie slowly reached out and took the milk bottle from him. That instantly got Aiden's attention. He whipped his head up and looked at her. "Why did you take my bottle?" He reached out to take it back. Miriam found it strange too. Why did Rosie try to take the bottle from Aiden when he was still drinking?

She was snatching food from the tiger's mouth!

Despite Aiden's annoyance, Rosie smiled gently and said. "Why don't I feed you? You should pay attention when you're drinking. You shouldn't drink and watch cartoons at the same time."

Aiden flared up at once. This strange woman is so nosy! Mommy wouldn't have said anything.

"It's none of your business, you ugly woman!" Aiden snatched the bottle back from Rosie.

Ugly? Inertia made Rosie's body tilt forward, but the word ugly shot through her like a bolt of electricity,

Did this brat just call me ugly?!

In just a split second, Rosie decided to allow her body to continue sliding forward. She even made sure to bang her forehead against the edge of the table. All at once, she started bleeding. "Ahhh!" Rosie's shriek made Aiden jump in fright. He immediately started crying.

Miriam quickly pulled him into her arms and patiently coaxed him, "It's okay, Mr. Aiden. Don't cry. Everything's okay."

The sounds drew the butler's attention.

He came over and saw Rosie sitting on the ground with a face covered in blood, as well as Aiden who was still crying his heart out. He instantly became rather flustered. "Miss Momsey! Are you... alright?"

Rosic looked up with an icy expression. "What do you think? Why don't you try getting your head hit?"

The butler had nothing to say to that. He hurried over to help her out, but just then, Elias walked out of the elevator.

Rosie saw Elias walking over while on the phone, so she shoved the butler away and stumbled back onto the ground before gasping in pain.....

Thanks to all the noise, Elias hung up the phone and rushed over to see what was happening.

"What's going on?" Elias snapped. He marched over to Miriam and took his son from her. He didn't even notice that Rosie was still sitting on the floor and bleeding.

"Daddy..." Aiden was still hugging his milk bottle as he leaned against Elias' shoulder and wailed as if he had suffered the greatest grievance in the world.

"Don't cry. Tell me what happened. Did someone hurt you?"

Miriam held out a tissue and Elias used it to wipe Aiden's tears as he patiently coaxed the boy. "It's okay. Don't cry. Daddy's here. Listen to Daddy and don't cry anymore, okay?"

Elias kept consoling Aiden for quite some time until he finally stopped crying, but his eyes were still red and he continued sniffling. He looked incredibly upset.

Before Aiden could say anything. Rosie seized the chance to twist the truth. She stumbled back onto her feet and said, "Don't blame the child, Eli. It's not his fault. I was just careless..." At last, Elias noticed the bleeding Rosie and frowned. "What happened to you?"

"I'm fine. It's just a scratch. Don't blame Aiden. We were just playing around. He got a huge fright too. You should comfort him."

Miriam was stunned. Rosie was clearly accusing Aiden of being the reason why she got hurt!

Miriam had seen it all just now. Rosie had been the one who banged her own head against the table. A child didn't have the strength to do that.

She was just about to explain when she saw the vicious look in Rosie's eyes and quickly lowered her head. She was too afraid to say anything. Elias frowned and glanced between Aiden and Rosic.

The atmosphere turned a little chilly.

Elias set Aiden down and questioned sternly, "Are you the one who caused Miss Rosie's injury?"

Aiden was frightened by Elias' sternness and took a step backward. He pouted and shook his head. "I didn't! She did it to herself."

He turned around in an attempt to run off.

However, Elias caught him and crouched down. He did feel bad when he saw how upset his son was.

That being said, he still felt the need to teach his son proper manners and values. He had to do it now, or else it would be too late if he waited until his son was older.

Rosie was secretly pleased by this, but she pretended to try and stop Elias. "Don't be so fierce with Aiden, Eli. He didn't do anything wrong. We were just playing. He didn't mean to."

Elias saw Aiden's tears welling up again, so he sighed and said dotingly, "Aiden, apologize to Miss Rosie, okay?"

He didn't want to be hard on Aiden who had only just been discharged from the hospital.

"Why do I need to apologize to her? I didn't do anything wrong! You're being unreasonable, Daddy! Why do you trust that ugly woman and not me?"

Aiden struggled away from Elias and tossed his bottle onto the floor in a rage. The milk spilled everywhere.

Ugly woman? Once again, the words triggered Rosie. She would've slapped Aiden right away if Elias wasn't here.
