Chapter 531 Am I Annoying?

The following day, after finishing breakfast, Symeon planned to take Dulcie to kindergarten, as this marked her first day at preschool.

She would be studying at the same kindergarten as Aiden, where the two children could look out for each other.

"Daddy, can I go play with Aiden?"

"Yes."

Dulcie's face lit up with joy at the mention of Aiden. She eagerly put on her backpack, more excited than ever to go to kindergarten.

As the nanny was about to open the door, she was startled and let out a cry.

Symeon frowned and looked over. "What's wrong? Why are you screaming?"

"You scared me. Miss Carter is outside."

Miss Carter? Casey Carter?

Dulcie immediately let go of Symeon's hand and ran over. "Pretty Miss! What are you doing here? Have you come to see me?"

Casey didn't pay attention to the man's expression and instead hugged the sweet, soft Dulcie affectionately. "Yes, are you going out? Why are you carrying your little backpack?" she asked gently. "Daddy is taking me to kindergarten, and I'm going to play with Aiden. I'm so excited!"

Although Casey didn't know who this Aiden was, seeing Dulcie's joyful expression, she couldn't help but smile too.

Symeon spoke up. "Why have you come when you won't even acknowledge her?"

"I... It's not that I won't. I just genuinely don't remember when I had a child. Maybe I forgot..."

Casey had been tossing and turning all night, trying to recall when she had been intimate with a man and when she had given birth. Before returning to Cludan with her father, she had settled abroad with her parents. But since that homewrecker, Eleanor Collins, had risen to power and her mother had jumped off a building, she had returned to her home country with her father.

She had no recollection of what happened before returning to Cludan. Her mother's death

had left her in a daze, and she had been living each day in a fog, following her father back to the country in a daze.

Symeon raised his proud chin and waited for her to continue.

Casey held Dulcie in her arms and said hesitantly, "But the paternity test made me doubt. Regardless, the test result won't lie. If she's my child, I will definitely acknowledge her. Even though I can't remember anything right now, I still want to be with her. Maybe I'll remember something."

"It's too late. You don't deserve to be Dulcie's mother."

With that, he snatched Dulcie from her hands, causing Dulcie to burst into tears.

"Stop crying," Symeon coaxed the little girl coldly. "Go to the kindergarten and play with. Aiden."

"What are you doing? Why are you so harsh on Dulcie? She'll be traumatized, " Casey said, trying to ruffle Dulcie's little head. However, Symeon glanced at her and threatened, "Get away! What right do you, an incompetent mother, have to lecture me?!"

With that, he carried the crying Dulcie out of the house, leaving Casey standing there in shock for a while before chasing after them.

By the time she caught up, Symeon had already driven away with Dulcie.

Man, he sure is heartless, disregarding the child's feelings. Will Dulcie grow up mentally healthy in this

environment?

So, Casey hailed a cab and quickly caught up with Symeon's car, wanting to see which kindergarten he would take Dulcie to.

After coming to a slow stop outside Royal International Kindergarten, Symeon got out of the car and carried Dulcie out of the car seat. By now, Dulcie had stopped crying, but her face still bore traces of her earlier tears, looking pitiful.

"Dulcie?"

Symeon didn't quite know how to comfort her when he heard Amanda's voice behind him.

A slight warmth appeared on the otherwise cold face of the man as he turned around to see Amanda leading Aiden by the hand, heading toward them.

Dulcie, upon seeing Aiden, instantly forgot about her earlier fright and happily wriggled out of the man's arms. "Aiden!"

Aiden was equally delighted to see Dulcie. "Dulcie? Are you going to the same kindergarten

as me?"

"Yeah, Daddy said I'll be going to kindergarten here from now on."

"That's great! I'll protect you then. I know this place really well." Aiden immediately transformed into a little gentleman and even claimed he would protect the little girl.

Amanda watched the two children get along so harmoniously and couldn't help but smile. "I didn't expect these two to play so nicely together. Now, you can rest assured that Dulcie will have Aiden to look after her at kindergarten during the day."

She had been watching the two children the whole time and hadn't noticed that Symeon had been staring at her.

Amanda smiled and turned around, only to meet Symeon's intense gaze, causing her smile to freeze on her lips. Why is he looking at me like that?

Elias withdrew his gaze. "Why did Elias have you send the child to school? Has it come to a point where you two are arguing non-stop?"

"Can't you hope for something better for me? Besides, what benefit does it bring you if me and my husband turn against each other?"

"Of course, there are benefits. Watching Elias Winters suffer is one of the great joys of my life." Symeon didn't shy away from expressing his true thoughts. Amanda was stupefied. Why are these two men so twisted?

Elias had said the same thing before; his pleasure came from seeing Symeon make a fool of himself and having conflicts with him.

"What are you thinking?" Symeon could tell that Amanda was distracted.

Amanda snapped back to reality. "Nothing, I just think you men can be pretty immature and boring. Since there's no trouble between us now, why do you still need to target each other?"

"Why don't you go back and ask your man? By the way, has he explained the situation with that woman to you? You don't mind at all?"

Amanda's expression changed slightly at the mention of that woman. "That's our business. We will handle it ourselves. No need to concern yourself."

Symeon sneered, "Let's hope so.

"Stop with the sarcasm. Instead of being like this, why don't you be gentler with Dulcie? Do you really want her to grow up in this kind of environment and become as annoying as you?"

No longer wanting to pay any attention to Symeon, Amanda turned to leave. But that comment struck a nerve with the man.

Symeon grabbed her wrist and asked, "Am I annoying?"

"Yes, you are," Amanda retorted, shaking off his hand. "You speak sarcastically and always try to pick fights. It's incredibly irritating."

Symeon looked at his hand and chuckled, saying, "I don't think Winters is any better. When he didn't fancy you before, he was much more annoying to you than I am now."
