Evelyn POV

“Thank you Noah, thank you Cassandra.” I’m struggling to stay awake, my hand reaching out to Cassandra as she takes it and holds it tightly.

“It’s a pleasure Evelyn. I wouldn’t have missed it. He’s incredibly strong, I think he’ll give Rex a run for his money Elspeth on the other hand.” She leans in and kisses my forehead.

She wasn’t wrong. Angel had something, some kind of power that was different to an aura.

His eyes were different, they were barely open in between milk feeds and sleeping…sometimes mixing those two passions of his at the same time.

But from the eyes Reuben and I have been able to see…they were similar to Reuben’s dark stormy navy colour…but without his wolf yet.

Goddess knows what she has installed for us. There’s never been two alphas to conceive a child together.

“Both have good vitals, we will let Evelyn rest and check on them both in a few hours.” I hear Noah talk to Reuben.

“Thank you.” I’m tired but I keep my eyes open long enough to see Reuben pull Noah into an embrace. Oh the contrast of only a few hours ago.

Noah walks over to me, cupping my face in his hands.

“I’m proud of you.” I don’t know why, it must be over tiredness.

But his words bring out my emotions.

“Thank you Noah. Thank you for being here as always. I’d be lost without you.” I tear escapes me, because that was the truth. He has been with me for everything.

“Enjoy the first few weeks as a family. You deserve it, you all do. The pack will be fine. Cassandra and I will manage what we can. If it isn’t important it can wait. If it is, we will call. Okay?”

Basically take this time to recover and bond.

“Yes, think of it as parental leave.”

Cassandra laughs full well knowing I’ll be checking on my emails in the morning. But it was nice to know that I could take my foot off the gas slightly.

I rest safe in the knowledge that Angel is safe in Reuben’s arms and that my pack and alliance was safe in Noah’s.

“Be gentle…not too rough Elspeth.” Reuben tries to show Elspeth what to do with a newborn.

“Daddy, I know he isn’t a dolly.” I can’t help but chuckle as Elspeth tuts at Reuben for being over protective of her baby brother.

“How are you?” Rex sits on the edge of the bed as Elspeth climbs on next to me, Reuben gently laying Angel into her arms.

Making sure to place a pillow underneath him to support his weight.

“I’m fine darling, nothing some sleep won’t sort.”

“Oh he’s perfect…look at his little fingers. They even have nails..” Elspeth can’t help but show her love for Angel as his fingers wrap around her index finger.

Reluctantly, she passes him over to Rex who, with Reuben’s help, places him in his arms also with the pillow.

“Well what do you think?” Reuben chuckles as Rex becomes speechless holding his baby brother in his arms.

“He’s….he’s….I’m going to teach him all about football.” He grins looking up at Reuben who looks down at his eldest and youngest.

“He might not like football.” Elspeth tuts out.

“Of course he will…”

“Mummy, can the next one be a girl please?” I almost choke on my own inhale of air at her words.

“I’m not an ordering service darling. Besides, give me some time.” I respond once I catch my breath again.

“Noah said three months.” Reuben smirks, my eyes turning into a thunderous gaze at his poorly timed joke.

Reuben POV

“Pizza or burgers?” I ask Rex and Elspeth as they were both sitting next to me downstairs on the sofa. I planned to order dinner in tonight. I didn’t want to stand and cook just in case Evelyn needed me.
