Chapter 211

Mia looked at her wide-eyed, then at the plamer, and subconsciously backed away.

“You bit ch! You just want to take this chance to get back at me! You don’t really want to return the old house and the Fallen Group to us. No way! Absolutely not! Don’t even think about it.”

Grace didn’t react and merely twirled the ruler between her fingers indifferently. “You just said you would do anything. Now suddenly, you can’t.”

She pressed her lips in a thin line after saying that. As if on cue, Eleven and Twelve immediately stepped forward and grabbed Mia’s shoulder, pressing her down.

“What are you trying to do?!”

Hints of fear gradually stained Mia’s eyes. She shouted, “You want to scare me, don’t you?! You think I’m afraid of you! I won’t give in to you, sl ut!”

Grace’s thumb stopped fiddling with the ruler. Holding it straight, she slowly approached Mia. “Isn’t it fun to curse a sl ut? There’s not an inch of a rich man’s sophistication in that mouth of yours. So today. I’ll show you the rules!”

“What? You want to hit me? B itch! How dare you touch me!”

Grace sneered and shook her head.

This Mia was really st upid, She wasn’t perceptive at all. If she simply kept blabbing and cursing, it would only irritate Grace more.

“But that’s okay. Grace thought, already planning to use it for her demonstration.

“Since entering, how many curse words did you utter?”

Mia was flabbergasted.

“Who knows how much? she thought in a mixture of confusion and annoyance.

Eleven counted, “It’s five swear words in total, Miss.”

Grace casually raised the ruler high. “Two hits for every word. I won’t hit you too much for today, so be thankful it’s just ten.”

“No way! Why would you hit me! My mother and father have never even laid a finger on me! Who do you think you are?”

Having only ever been pampered her whole life, she was naturally a stranger to pain. She feared it, even. She couldn’t imagine how it would feel when the ruler hit her palm. She struggled frantically and kept screaming.

“Mom, save me! She’s going to beat me to death! Mom!”

Yvonne was ju

just as distressed, but in order for her daughter to learn her lesson and get rid of her domineering attitude, she had no choice but to strengthen her resolve, turn her face away, and ignore Mja’s plea for help.

Eventually, the bodyguards grabbed Mia’s arms and wrists and held them forward into position. She couldn’t pull back at all. Grace even forcibly uncurled her fingertips, exposing her palms helplessly

to the air.

She was about to resume her scolding, but one look from Grace rendered her speechless. “It’s only ten strikes for now, but if you still can’t control your mouth, then next time, I’ll use the ruler to slap your mouth. Do you want to try cursing again?”

An annoyed Grace could do anything.

If she truly used a ruler to slap Mia’s lips, then her whole face would be ruined!

Mia swallowed the lump in her throat while biting her lip. She couldn’t dare herself to say anything

anymore.

Seeing that she was much more well-behaved, Grace also stopped beating around the bush and finally brought the ruler down on Mia’s palm with a resounding slap.

“Ah! It hurts! Don’t hit me! Mommy, save me! She’s really going to beat me to death!”

Mia trembled and shed large droplets of tears as she screamed like a pig being s laughtered.

Grace didn’t hold back and used all of her strength. Adding to the fact that she had a strong foundation in martial arts, Mia’s palm was quick to redden and swell.

Indifferent to this, Grace mercilessly struck four more times.

Mia couldn’t do anything else but howl to the point of h oar seness, cry into tears, and feel her arms trembling in pain.

Having her left palm get hit five times turned it more swollen and purplish.

Yvonne could also only cry as she listened to the whistling sound of the ruler. She had to endure the urge to intervene multiple times, and eventually retreated into the sofa and pretended very hard to

he deaf.

Once done with the left hand, Grace then grabbed the right hand and hit five times as well.

After the punishment was over, Eleven and Twelve finally released their restraint on Mia.

It was the first time that Mia had ever been punished with a ruler. Her calf was shaking as a result, so once she lost her support, she couldn’t hold herself up and fell to the floor directly.

On instinct, she used her hand to prevent her face from colliding with the floor. However, as soon as her palms touched the ground, a piercing pain bloomed again that she was almost out of breath.

Yvonne quickly rushed over to help her and check the injuries on her palms.

Grace put a box of anti swelling ointment on the table, but her stern expression remained unchanged. “I have all the rules in mind, and I never turn a blind eye to those who don’t. Within seven days, I’ll check if you learned your lesson and progressed with it. And if you still haven’t, you can try to challenge me again.”

Mia simply buried herself into her mother’s arms. Apart from crying, there was nothing she could really do about it.

She could only look at Grace with fear and thought,

This woman is too ruthless. She’s like the devil incarnate.’

Grace was quite satisfied with Mia’s resignation. It seemed that she also lowered her arrogance by a large margin.

Sure enough, actions speak louder than words. Demonstrating to Mia was better than simply telling her off. Wisdom passed down for thousands of years was really convenient to use.

She had someone put the red sandalwood ruler on the dressing table across Mia’s room, so that she could see it every day when she wake up.

After the rules were established, Grace asked Yvonne to sign the two real estate transfer agreements without even as much as a glance at her and left afterward with the resounding click of her high heels.

Chapirr

In the past seven days, with the ruler sitting there in plain sight as a threat and a reminder, Mia had no choice but to memorize the entire book with sincerity.

However, during the random check, there were jams and mistakes here and there, and she barely memorized everything completely. Without hesitation, Grace hit her palms ten times according to the strictest standards,

Mia was both in pain and anger, yet she knew she was helpless against Grace. She could only cry while cradling her swollen hands to her chest, “Hulu, you’re a cold-blooded animal. You only know how to bully me. I really, really hate you…”

Grace let her cry, “It seems like there is progress, at least. The words you use to curse me is more civilized. However, I’m afraid you’ve been swearing at me in private, right?”

Mia immediately zipped her lips and stared angrily.

How could she even do that when even if it’s only the bathroom she’s going to, she still has to ask permission from Grace!

And

every night, she also had to routinely inform Grace when she wanted to go to bed. It was almost like a bedtime prayer at this point that she might as well be praying to Grace’s entire eighteen generations of ancestors to not get into her bad side!

Grace understood her expression and called all the ser vants in the villa. “Starting today, everyone can supervise Mia. As long as she swears, you will be rewarded for reporting to me. One thousand for each time you do.”

The ser vants’ eyes lit up.

From that day on, no matter what she did, someone would be stalking her. Even when she was in class with the etiquette teacher, many ser vants came to quietly observe.

One time, Mia couldn’t help but scold the group of ser vants and swore a few times. As a result of this, many ser vants happily won bonuses.

And without much fanfare, Grace simply hit her palms again

Mia’s hands only swelled even more. For two weeks, she could not even remember the original color of her palms.

And even when eating, she could not hold a spoon properly. Yvonne felt sorry for her daughter and spoon-fed her secretly until Grace found out and stopped her.

This princess-like treatment should not be tolerated.

Although Mia felt aggrieved, she was also afraid of another round of hitting. Hence, she actually learned to think carefully before speaking out loud.

And as the days passed, the number of times she got hit gradually lessened

Fourth of December.

Frant City ushered in the first heavy snow of winter, covering the entire city in a hazy white layer. Grace was wrapped in a white fox and mink fur coat and matched with a dark lace dress. It looked exquisite and luxurious on her, but it also gave off a solemn aura.

She cut a few beautiful red plums and went to the cemetery to visit Edgar.

His tombstone was covered with snow. Grace patiently dusted the snow off and spoke with gentle eyes.

“Edgar, I didn’t expect that the first snow in Frant City would be the day of your burial last month. These two days have been really cold. I don’t know if it will be cold on your side too. I’ll let Eleven.
