Donovan

Bristol

-Mr. Bristol, it's good that you've arrived at your office, -the doctor shakes my hand in greeting and took it and then sat down.

"My schedule has been full lately," she announced, to which she nodded.

"But you still have to put her condition as a priority," I grimace but I know she's right. "I called you because I will be changing her medication," she announces. -For what reason?

"As she told you, these medications usually have side effects," she nodded, remembering when she said it. "The one he's wearing has decreased his s***m count according to the analysis they did," I raise my eyebrows. -Then I will be sterile? -Deny.

-His production decreased, but that does not mean that he was sterile, but if he continues with the medication he is taking, he could remain sterile for several more years, I have never imagined myself with children by my side. I am thirty-one years old, I do not have s****l relations with women so I do not know if I want to have them, it is a topic that I have not debated with myself.

"I understand," I mutter.

"This one that I will tell you has its effects too," he writes the receipt and hands it to me.

-As which?

-Excitement, sleep, lack of appetite, among others. It always works differently for patients-what I least want are the last two and the first I suppose with a cold shower can be resolved. -Anything else? -She denies, I stand up and say goodbye to her.

On the way to my apartment I stop at a pharmacy to buy what is indicated. While at home I stay in my boxers and prepare something for dinner, I check my phone replaceing messages from my mother, I roll my eyes at her since she can't get enough, I'm not interested in talking to her. Her life of luxury will continue with her husband and stepson, they are two drones and only know how to waste money on expensive things, but it means little to me as long as they stay away from my late father's company. The doorbell of my house takes me out of my thoughts, I frown without understanding who is coming at this time, but I remember that it must be Alexandro, I walk to it and open it without caring much about being in my underwear, I am shocked when I see that it is Alex himself and the bad thing is that he comes in the company of two women.

"Oh... Donovan," he greets and enters his house like a dog with his two companions who did not hide for a second when they looked at my body. "I swear I'll kill him." I close the door and walk to my room so I can put on some sweatpants. and a muscular one. When I return to the living room and Alexandro has a bottle of wine and several glasses poured, I feel my left eye have a nervous twitch, I inhale and exhale to calm myself.

"Alexandro," I call, looking at him without any expression, he walks up to me and hands me the glass that he took reluctantly. -Can you explain to me what all this is? -I catch the bridge of my nose with my index finger and thumb while I peck my feet on the ground. -Come on, don't be angry, I just want you to have a little fun. I roll my eyes.

-You're going too far, Alexandro. "You know well that I hate other people invading my space," he grimaces.

"I'm very sorry, but I'm already here and I have two chocolates with me, by the way the blonde one is for you," she looks at the girls and winks.

-I don't want anything at all. I just want you to leave my apartment," I mutter, tensing my jaw, containing my impulses of wanting to kick them out of my house.

"You're a party water," he reproaches, "Just have a drink with me and I'll leave, okay?" -sigh.

"Fine," I grumble to drink from my glass, walking to a single couch trying to ignore everything around me. I listen in silence to Alexandro's jokes and it reminds me a lot

of when we were teenagers, he was always the one who dated and went out with girls, I for my part was the rare nerd with braces that no one approached until I entered university and I changed my appearance, but my priority was no longer to be with women but to finish studying and get my university degree before my father was consumed by cancer.

-Why so quiet? I look at the girl who smiles at me.

-I have nothing to comment-serious context.

-I understand, you are somewhat reserved, I drink from my glass and sit, -Your friend and my friend are intimate, I look at them and they are literally almost having s*x on my couch.

"Damn," I mutter under my breath, standing up to go somewhere else, my office.

"Hey, I don't want to see the show either," the girl announces, entering my private place with the bottle of wine and the glasses. I sigh and point to the couch so she can get comfortable. Alexandro and I will have a pretty serious talk after this.

(...)

After Alexandro did God knows what on my couch, they left my apartment and I had to suffer the insistent advances of my companion, flatly refusing to have anything more than a talk with her, I sigh walking through the living room to collect all the chaos that they left here and when I finished I went to my room to take a shower then I go straight to my bed, I took the sleeping pill and the next morning I woke up at six and as usual I do yoga, have breakfast and leave at company.

"Good morning, Mr. Bristol," Alexandro's assistant greets me when the elevator door opens.

-What doesn't Alexandro need you? -I question walking to my office as she stands next to me.

"As long as I don't have her executive secretary, I will be by her side," she announces, to which I nod since on the one hand it benefits me.

"Well, Alexandro owes me for throwing an unexpected party at my house," she mumbled. What do I have for today?

"Breakfast with your mother," she surprises me to replace her inside my office, causing my mood to already be in a bad mood.

"Leave us alone, Esther," I close the door and walk to my chair, sit down and watch her. -What are you doing here?

"That's how you talk to your mother," she says, ruffling her hair, "You must respect me, young man," I roll my eyes.

"If I don't remember, your account is lined with money so I can spend it badly with your gigolo," I blurt out and she looks at me indignantly.

"Fabricio is an excellent man," she comments.

"He and his son are drones," I point out and turn on my computer, "If you don't need money, what do you want?"

-I come to refresh you on what in your father's will there is a clause that prohibits you...

-I know perfectly well what my father left stipulated in his will, and I know the reason why that shameless old man left that there, he doesn't want to. May I be alone all my life.

"I remind you that that clause gives you a period of three years and you already have one left," I sigh.

-I haven't had time to think about it. Will you take the company away from me? -I question sarcastically, I don't think she's capable of such a thing.

"Of course, Gabriel is prepared to take command, but it will only be until you fulfill what was agreed," he announces, I look at her indignantly.

-Are you thinking of putting everything my father has worked for into the hands of that parasite? -She questioned with my frown.

"I repeat, it will only be provisional," she reiterates. I put my fingers to the bridge of my nose trying not to yell at her and be rude to her. "You've gone completely crazy," I mutter.

"I just want to fulfill your father's will," she stands up and takes her bag from her. -You have one year to get married.
