The Princess Slave -
Chapter 75
Violette POV
I crawled into my bed and bawled my eyes out. Two days.. two days in that cold dungeon. No food.. no water.. just the cold, damp floor.
How could he?
And then.. the pains.. goddess they were awful. I knew I would surely die.
I jumped up when my door opened and I put my shaking hands up as I squeezed my eyes shut.
“Please..” I cried. I didn’t want him to hurt me anymore..
“Violette, dear..” Beatrice called for me.
“Please go..” I cried. I held my legs tightly to my chest as I sobbed.
“Let me check on you.. please.. you gave us all a fright.” She said softly.
“And who’s fault is that? LEAVE.” I growled. I was on the verge of shifting I was so angry.. so hurt..
“Let me check you and then I’ll leave. You will not have to see me again for as long as you wish.” She said.
“No,” I growled.
“Think of the pup, Violette.” She said. I looked up at her in rage. How dare she continue on with the charade?
“There is no pup,” I growled.
“Violette.. your eyes.. you need to calm down.” She said in a firm tone.
“Stay away from me, Beatrice. I’m afraid I will shift if you do not.” I said.
“Vio-“ I cut her off.
“I do not want to see you. I don’t want to see Viktor. I don’t want to see ANY OF YOU.” I growled. Fur sprouted on my arms as my bones began to break.
“Okay.. okay, just please.. don’t shift.” She said. She backed away and left the room. Slowly closing the door. I took deep, hot breaths as I tried to calm myself.
I was tired.. tired of being lied to and treated poorly. I went from one hell to another when I was brought here..
I wrapped my arms around my legs and cried.
He didn’t care for me. It was all a facade. How could I be so stupid? How could I believe his lies?
I reached for the necklace he gave me and ripped it off. I threw it at the door and screamed.
The door opened once again and I launched off, only to see Sylvia and Lillian standing in the doorway.
“Violette..” Sylvia said. She looked afraid of me. Why? I would never hurt her.
“There you are.. goddess, what is going on?” I asked as tears fell down my cheeks. I wrapped my arms around them both but they didn’t speak.
I pulled back and looked between them.
“Did they not tell you?” Lillian asked.
“Tell me what?” I asked.
“N-nothing. You’re being let go from the dungeon.. Viktor changed his mind.” Sylvia said.
“But why?” I asked.
“He.. felt awful for what he did,” Lillian said. I narrowed my eyes at them. Something is up. And they’re hiding it from me. One thing I can’t stand the most is lies, and it seems everyone is hellbent on lying to me constantly.
“Tell me the truth or get out,” I growled.
“Violette.. please calm down,” Lillian said. I took a deep breath to calm myself.
“Fine. Will you bring me some water?” I asked. Lillian turned to leave and Sylvia tried to walk in but I stopped her.
“Both of you. A-and some food?” I asked. They both nodded and as soon as they left I shut the door and locked it.
“Everyone lies,” I growled to myself. I latched the top bolt as well to ensure no one could come in.
I crawled back into bed and wrapped myself in my blanket and cried myself to sleep.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••
I heard knocks on the door and I opened my eyes. It was dark outside now, I guess I’d slept all day.
“Violette, open the door.” Loren’s voice called from the other side.
“No,” I growled.
There was silence.. and I was glad. I didn’t want anyone to come in.
Then there was banging on the door.
“Violette,” Viktor growled.
“Leave me alone!” I yelled as I glared at the door.
“No, open the door.. or I will break it down.” He growled.
“No,” I said.
“Please, Violette.” He said in a softer tone.
“If you don’t leave, I’ll-“ he cut me off.
“If you even think about hurting yourself.. I swear to the Moon Goddess..” he began growling once again.
I didn’t respond.
“Violette?” He asked. His voice was laced with panic, yet I didn’t respond.
I heard a loud roar and the loudest banging on the door I could’ve imagined..
Within seconds the door was down, and I was staring at his massive brown Lycan.
“Leave,” I growled as I threw a pillow at him. He stalked towards me and shifted back.
“No.” He said. He reached for me and I jerked away.
“Do not touch me,” I growled. I let my claws slip out and I held them out.
“You think you can kill me?” He asked.
“No, but I will sure as hell make you hurt,” I growled. My canines slipped out and my eyes turned black. I was going to shift if he didn’t leave.
“Calm down.. please, Violette.” He asked with his hands outstretched.
“Leave me alone, and I will,” I growled. Fur started spouting out of my skin for the second time today.
“You can’t shift. You have to stop.” He said, fearfully.
“I won’t if you just leave me the f**k alone!” I growled. My bones started snapping and he lunged at me, pinning me to the bed as I thrashed underneath him.
“Please..” he begged. I freed my hand and slashed it across his chest.
“Get off!” I growled. My bones continued breaking underneath him but he wouldn’t budge. He was making it impossible to shift.
He leaned into my face like he was going to k**s me. What the f**k?
“No!” I screamed and I jerked my face away from him. Tears covered my face as I sobbed. I just wanted to be left alone.. was that so much to ask?
“Violette.. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it. I was angry. I’m not anymore,’just please calm down..” he begged.
“If you’re really sorry you will leave me alone. I don’t want to be near you right now. You broke my heart.. I can’t bear to see you without wanting to rip my heart out.” I cried.
His grip loosened on my wrists and he sighed.
“I’m sorry.” He said softly. He raised himself off of me and stood up.
“Please just go, Viktor. I’m not ready to talk to you.” I cried.
“Fine. I will be waiting for when you are.” He said. He turned around and when he stepped out, he turned to Loren.
“Replace her door, and make sure there are no locks.” He said.
“Yes, my King,” Loren replied as he looked at me with pity in his eyes.
“And bring her some food and water. She needs to eat.” Viktor growled.
