The Prodigy Antaris - a secret World of magic #1 -
Chapter 5
Everything you know...elves...fairies...witches and sorcerers, mermaids, ghosts...sylphs, demons...vampires...werewolves...and many more are not inventions. Mythical creatures have been living in hiding for many years because there have already been too many losses. Some species have become extinct, and unfortunately the list is getting longer and longer.
There aren't just good fairies or evil demons, the kind doesn't decide which side you end up on. So we have loving and kind-hearted demons, tricksters and werewolves, but also vengeful and malicious elves, fairies and witches.
Every creature has a spirit animal. A mythical animal that accompanies him throughout his life. We are connected to it on a deep emotional and spiritual level. We communicate with our animal via telepathy, and can sense each other's feelings and thoughts. This covenant is your protector for a lifetime, it is faithful and devoted until your death. After that it dies because its meaning is connected to you.
Each mystical species has its own powers that have evolved over time, and the spirit animals enhance those powers. We call these animals Amicus.
You are on Antaris this is a safe place for all Mystic Beings of good intentions. Antaris is protected by a powerful spell that originates from the Tree of Power. And the only way in or out is through a portal made only by a good being.
Antaris was created by my Elven ancestors and is our home for thousands of years.
But like us, evil has its home and it is called Portus Mali. The port of evil.
Many evil creatures live there, but some come only to obey orders from the princes of darkness. You have already met the three princes of darkness. Unfortunately, they are the reason for your family's death.
Abbadon, Belial and Amon are their names.
You are safe here Iris, they cannot replace and attack you here....And so we come to you Iris and the reason why they are looking for you...
Once upon a time there were four princes of darkness. The four riders of the apocalypse, the destroyers of worlds and species. Their power was indescribable and evil was so strong that the end was approaching for all good beings. But then something happened that none of us expected and that... was love.
The love between a demon prince and an elf warrior who met in battle.
Prince Nuriel fell madly in love with the beautiful elf and could no longer live without her.
So he decided to leave evil and his heart embraced the good side. He changed everything and followed his lover to Antaris where he wanted to be with her. And so he discarded all his power and changed his name to Baldur... " King Elior explained to me.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried to understand everything I was being told. Avery noticed how uncomfortable I was and ran his fingers gently over the palm of my hand.
"What..What do you want to say?" I asked with a trembling voice.
"Your mother is Liora one of the best elf warriors that ever lived. And your father is Baldur, my best friend who, like a brother at my side, won many battles against evil" said the king.
"My child...you were loved ,very much by your parents. You were the crowning glory of their love.
First you... and a few years later your brother..The first years of your life you grew up here with your beloved parents and little brother. And when the princes of darkness found out that their brother had Kids with a Elf, they felt betrayed and wanted revenge. They tried to kidnap you to take his place, but it ended in a fight that changed everything to this day. In that fight, your parents died... their last wish was for you two to be safe.
I took care of your brother, Aidan. He grew up with my own children.
And you were raised by your grandparents. We had to separate you for security reasons. They brought you to the people where you grew up without knowing about your true self. For over 21 years they kept you safe because they didn't use magic and kept your magic and memories in check with a spell..." he finished explaining.
I sat in the chair and just stared straight ahead. Thoughts raced in my head from all the information I was given. So many questions were answered, but more questions arose. I wasn't even sure who I was anymore ,because what I thought, and what I've been told all my life is obviously not true.
" If you allow me, I would like to show you something." King Elior said.
I looked up at him and nodded as I got up and followed him with Avery and Ava close behind me.He led us into a room behind the secret door and I was amazed when I entered. On the walls were paintings of people in beautiful robes and armor. Glass cases displayed weapons, crowns and jewelry. A red carpet led through the room and at the end of it was a huge painting. I followed the king down the red carpet throughout I looked at all these beautiful paintings and objects. As we stood at the end of the carpet in front of the painting, my eyes widened.
In the painting, was King Elior next to a beautiful woman... my father hugging my mother and in front of them four children. Looking at the children's faces, I recognized myself, Ava and Avery...the fourth child seems to be my brother...Aidan. We looked happy, all with smiles on our faces.
So it's true...I've been here before because I was born here.
Avery stood next to me and said, "We've known you since birth, Iris."
I looked up at him and into his eyes and saw only happiness and compassion.
"We were best friends when we were little. I have always loved you like a sister and waited for your return." I heard Ava say.
She stood next to her father and smiled lovingly at me.
"I would like to remember all of this again. My parents... my brother... and you. Can you help me King Elior?" I asked while looking at him.
"You have already cast the reverse spell...it has been a long time Iris...you must wait and let your memory take care of itself..It is as if you have amnesia now.The spell on you was cast by a very old being..your grandmother was a very powerful one, of us.And so any spell cast that could give you the memory faster back would damage you....so be patient it will take time." replied King Elior.
I didn't quite understand what he meant by that, but I trusted him that he knew better than me.
"The people in this room are all nobles. Queens and kings, important warriors and powerful sorcerers... even you Iris are one of them. Because whether you like it or not your father was once a prince... and so you are a Princess" added the king.
"Maybe it would be best if she got some rest. And tomorrow, when her mind has settled down, she can ask you some questions." Ava suggested, looking questioningly at her father.
"You're right my daughter...why don't you bring our guest into her room?" he answered.
Then he turned to me and added, "Don't worry, you're safe here. Rest and take your time to process it all. And if you have any questions, I'm here to answer them."
The king left to attend to royal business and I followed Avery and Ava out of the room.
We walked down a hallway that had many doors. All the doors were white, only the door handles were different colors. Ava stopped in front of a door and opened it.
" This is your room ." she said as she walked in. "I'm in the room just across from yours and Avery is in the large room down the hall," she added while pointing the directions to their rooms with her finger.
"You should rest and try to get some sleep my love. It's getting late...if you need anything...we're here for you....anytime." said Avery.
Ava explained to me that I have everything in the room, and clothes in the closet ,and everything was even prepared in the bathroom. The room was beautiful with a large bed made of carved white wood. The walls were white and a climbing plant with red flowers decorated the whole room. It all looked very elegant and fairytale-like. A dream for every girl I really felt like a princess.
"We'll take you to your brother tomorrow. He's currently on the island where our young warriors are being trained. It's half a day from here. He doesn't know you're back yet." Ava said as she came to me and hugged me.
"It's nice that you're back," she whispered in my ear.
Ava left the room and waved at me through the open door as she entered her room. Avery also started towards the door but I stopped him by taking his hand.
"Can you please stay a little longer?" I asked softly...
