Revenge Novel 10
Chapter 10 Chapter 10
Valencia's POV
FM
Jaxon was on me in seconds, his hand gripping my arm so tightly it hurt. Before I could even think to resist, he yanked me forward and flung me onto the bed.
“Where the hell have you been, Valencia?” he growled, his voice low but trembling with fury.
My chest heaved as I tried to form a coherent response, but his sharp eyes zeroed in on the marks on my
neck. His nostrils flared, and for a moment, his expression twisted into something animalistic.
"What is this?" His fingers brushed against my skin before his hand jerked back as though burned. "Hickeys?"
In a burst of strength and fright I pushed him back enough to be able to get up.
I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, his open palm connected with my face, the sound of the slap echoing in the small room. The force sent me tumbling to the floor, and I lay there, dazed, my cheek stinging and the taste of iron blooming in my mouth.
For a moment, the memory of his belt snap
through my mind like cruel phantom. That second
miscarriage, his accusations of infidelity that I hadn't committed, the cold leather cutting into my skin as I begged for him to stop-
"Get up!” Jaxon's voice cut through my haze.
I didn't want to get up. I felt terrified.
But, no. I wouldn't stay down this time.
I grit my teeth and pushed myself to my feet, shoving the memories aside. My legs shook as I stood, my fury growing stronger with every heartbeat. He would not break me. Not agai
Jaxon stalked forward, his rage unabated. "You're a disgrace! Do you know what you've done?" He shoved me against the wall, his arm pressing into my chest, pinning me there. “You think you can go out and act like this? You're mine, Valencia. MINE! You'll marry me, and no one else!"
Tears streaked my face as his words tore through me, and my heart broke all over again. No matter how many times I tried not to feel anything. How had I once loved this man? How had believed in him? Was the soft spoken and tender person I had fallen for even real?
"You filthy little Omega,” he spat. “Weak, useless, and good for nothing but spreading your legs. And yet I, an Alpha, gave you a chance. Do you understand what a wretched bastard like you owes me for that privilege? You really are the daughter of a whore-"
Something inside me snapped.
I raised my hand and slapped him as hard as I could.
The room froze.
Jaxon's head jerked to the side, his cheek red with the mark of my hand. My heart thundered in my chest as I stared at him, horrified and exhilarated all at once. I had done it. I had hit the future Alpha of the pack.
His blue eyes, now dark with fury, swung back to meet mine.
"You-

But I didn't let him finish. I took a shaky breath and straightened my spine, meeting his glare with as much defiance as I could muster.
“I will not marry a man who doesn't respect Omegas,” I said, my voice trembling but determined. "You think you can dictate my life? You think you have the right to choose for me, just becase you're an Alpha?" My hands clenched into fists. "In. Your. Dreams,"
His laugh was low and menacing, the sound sending chills down my spine.
"How dare you?!" he hissed, his voice dripping with venom. Elis and clamped around my arm like a vice, and he began dragging me out of the room. "Let's see if you're so brave in fro of the Alphas
“Jaxon, stop!” I struggled against him, but his grip was unrelent. My feet scraped against the floor as I tried to resist, but he was too strong. The halls were dimly lit, and my panic rose wh every step as he hauled me towards the stairs..
It was already morning. I could hear the faint murmur of voicess we ascended, and my heart sank further. “Let me go!” I yelled, my voice breaking.
He ignored me, dragging me up to the top floor, where the council room awaited. By the time we reached it, I was gasping for air, my feet aching and my mind racing with fear.
The council room was imposing, with its high ceilings and long wooden table that stretched nearly the length of the room. A few Beta assistants were already there, going over paperwork. Their heads snapped up as Jaxon barged in, dragging me behind him.
"Get the Alphas!" he barked, his voice a command that sent them scurrying
Moments later, the door burst open, and big, imposing men stormed in.
There was Roman Wolfe, the current Pack Alpha, his presence commanding even in his frail state. Beside him stood my father, Drogo Kallistar, his expression already dark with suspicion. Sirius Armani followed, his sharp gaze cutting through the room, and Jaxon's younger brother Jason brought up the rear, his brow furrowed in confusion.
The weight of their combined Alpha presence was suffocating. My skin prickled, and I struggled to breathe, feeling as though I were being crushed under the sheer force of their presence.
"What is the meaning of this?" my father demanded, his voice cold and hard.
Jaxon, to my disgust, had already composed himself, his fury replaced with a calculated calm. I hated that face–the face he wore when he was about to manipulate everyone in the room.
"Ask Valencia where she was last night," he said, his tone measured, almost sympathetic.
All eyes turned to me.
1 hesitated, my heart pounding
"Where?" My father asked slowly at first. I hesitated, my voice stick under the lump-in my throat.
"Where the fuck were you?!" He then bellowed, slamming his hands on the table.
1 flinched but forced myself to answer. "At a bar."
The room went deathly silent.
My father's face-drained of color, his shock so complete it would have been comical if the situation weren't so
dire
Chapter 10
Even though it was already the twenty-first century, the Wolfe pack and many other wolves were known for their traditionality and abhorred the dating custom
Which was why Jaxon and I hadn't ‘dated, and instead got formally engaged in my past life. Additionally it was out of the question for an immated Oniega to go outside without a guard leta or Alpha.
In the next couple years after Jaxon takes over, the pack customs and rules would become laxer for the younger generation. right now though, with the current pack Alpha still alive and kicking. Omega's who lost their virginity and were unmated were said to be disgraced.
“You... You—” His voice trembled with disbelief and fury. “You disgraced yourself?”
1 bit my lip, my heart hammering against my ribs. There was no point in lying. No point in denying it. I clenched my fists and nodded firmly.
In fact, an idea hit me. If I played my cards right, I could turn this situation in my favor and get rid of Jaxon.
"Yes."
The word hung in the air, heavy and damning.
My father clutched his chest and sank into a chair, his breath coming in labored gasps. I almost rolled my eyes at the dramatic display, but the sight of his pale face and trembling hands brought me no satisfaction.
Alpha Sirius's glare cut through me, his voice cold and biting. “Shameful bitch."
Tears burned in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.
Just as I thought I had weathered the worst, Jaxon's voice rang out, calm and deliberate.
“I'm willing to take responsibility for her
My heart plummeted, a cold dread spreading through my chest as his words echoed in my ears.
No.
