The Returning EX (John and Sophia) -
Chapter 1821
Chapter 1821 Aurora's Good Mood
Afterward, lan seemed to laugh as he said something to the girl, and then she turned to look at Cindy in the car. Cindy had no expression on her face, feeling neither guilty nor pleased.
This young lady is quite pitiful. She had fallen in love but had lost herself.
The girl stared at Cindy for a long time, then turned around and said something to lan. He laughed so hard that Cindy saw his shoulders shaking. His laughter made the girl look even more upset. After glaring at lan for a moment more, she then turned around and left.
At that, Cindy raised her brows. She didn't expect the matter to be resolved so quickly, and it only took five minutes. Ian waited for a while, then turned around and got into the car.
Cindy was a little curious, so she asked, "What did you two talk about?"
lan didn't seem to take it seriously. "I didn't say anything. She regarded Peter as a treasure, yet that man is nothing in my eyes."
When he said this, Cindy vaguely thought of something. She had wanted to point out to that girl last time that if Peter and lan stood together, those who had eyes and brains would choose lan, and she would be crazy to give up lan and choose Peter instead. However, she did not say so to that girl in the end. Now she realized that lan probably did not hold back.
Hence, Cindy also laughed. "Well, if you talked to her like this, she probably won't bother us again in the future."
In fact, there was no so-called future, as they would leave tomorrow.
Alas! How I hope she will figure things out on her own in the future.
Soon, lan and Cindy reached home and went upstairs. As soon as the door opened, they saw Aurora dancing alone in the living room. She had found a music player and was dancing to popular songs of her era in the living room by herself. Ian and Cindy stood at the door and looked at each other but did not go in immediately.
Aurora knew they were here, but she didn't stop. "Is everything done over there?" she asked.
"Yes." After a tiny pause, lan couldn't help but ask, "What's this about? Are you so happy that he's buried today?"
Aurora chuckled. "No, it has nothing to do with him. I read the script today, and there is a section where I dance. I think it's good for me to practice now."
lan and Cindy then walked toward the living room. Cindy went to sit on the sofa, turned around, and lay on the couch to look at Aurora. Perhaps classical music had a charm of its own, for Aurora shined ever so brightly as she waltzed beautifully along with the elegant tune.
Aurora waited for the song to end before she stopped. Then, she rearranged her hair and came over to drink a glass of water. "Was there no trouble over there?"
Cindy knew who she was talking about, so she answered, "No, they didn't show up today."
Aurora laughed, put down the glass, and then tied up her hair. "It seems that she gave up on the old boy."
Then she turned around to go back to the room to get changed. "That's good. I feel more at ease with them like that."
Cindy pursed her lips as she watched Aurora disappear into the room, and then she turned to look at lan. "Someone's in a good mood."
lan nodded. "I know, right."
Aurora was not pretending nor forcing it; for the first time in many years, she was truly happy.
Having gotten up early and been busy all morning, Cindy and lan tidied up a little and went to have a nap. However, it was not long before Cindy was woken up by the ringing of the phone next to her. She squinted and grabbed the phone to check it, only to replace that it was a voice call from Peter.
Cindy understood why he was calling her, and she had nothing to avoid him for, so she just answered the phone.
When the call connected, Peter spoke first. "I heard that Wanda went looking for you."
