The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1208

Liam ended the call and turned to gaze out the window into the pitch-black night, dense with darkness. He had simply acted on his conscience. He thought to himself, ‘Blake, I just hope you’re okay.’

The next morning, Blake awoke in an unfamiliar, dreamlike room. The fairy- like curtains and dolls around her bed seemed to fulfill every girl’s childhood fantasies. Confused, she realized this was not the Harper residence.

Sitting up, Blake tried to grasp her bearings. She wondered, ‘Where am I?’

A few minutes later, Cecilia entered the room with a bowl of soup. “You’re awake? You haven’t eaten in days. Have some butternut squash soup first. Liam said he would come to see you soon.”

Cecilia sat beside the bed, but Blake swatted the bowl away, spilling soup on the imported Italian carpet. Despite that, Cecilia gently brushed Blake’s hair aside. “It’s okay if you don’t like it. The maid has prepared more.”

“Who said you could bring me here?” Blake demanded coldly.

Cecilia replied as she adjusted the blanket, “This is your home. You can have whatever you want here. Here’s a debit card with all the money I’ve saved for you. If it’s not enough, ask me for more. You’ll live with me from now on.”

Blake interrupted, “I don’t want to live with you. My name is Blake Dion. I am a Dion, not a Samford. I am not your sister, and I will never acknowledge someone like you as my sister.”

Standing up, Blake moved to leave. Cecilia did not stop her but explained, ”

The bodyguards are at the main gate.

You can’t leave until you accept your identity. Then you’ll be free to come and go. There are two DNA test reports by your bed. Check for yourself whether you are a Dion or a Samford.”

Cecilia continued, trying to evoke emotions, “I know you must have suffered a lot, which is why you forgot everything. We lived in Spiralfield, in the countryside. Our mother was gentle but was killed by our father while protecting you. We only had each other. When I was sick, you would catch fish and pick wild mushrooms, cooking meals for me.”

Blake, overwhelmed and agitated, covered her ears and yelled, “Enough! I don’t believe any of it. It’s all lies.”

Blake saw the documents on the bedside table and tore them to shreds.

Cecilia calmly stood, picking up the bowl, “Whether you accept it or not, we share the same blood. I’m off to work now. I’ll have the servants bring you some food. You can take the time to calm down.”
