The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 710
Madelyn was hesitant and indecisive when faced with decisions. She was completely different from Zach. Zach responded, “No one is better suited than us to raise this child. Since we’ve brought him home, he’ll always be our child if you want to.”
Madelyn did not understand why Zach was doing this. She thought, ‘Is it merely because I casually mentioned that I wanted a child?’
However, what she truly desired was a child who truly belonged to her, not just any random abandoned baby.
She did not want to continue arguing with him. So, she said, “Up to you! When he gets better, register him with the relevant authorities and then give him a name.”
Zach nodded, “Okay. I’ll have Kevin prepare the necessary documents next month. “Okay,” Madelyn casually agreed. Soon, they had nothing to talk about and just stopped chatting.
In the late, quiet night, influenced by alcohol and under just the right circumstances, Madelyn noticed Zach’s gaze gradually turning unusual. She got up and wanted to escape. But before she could take her second step, she suddenly felt dizzy. When she regained her senses, she found herself pressed beneath him. Zach held her tightly and said, “Were you trying to run away? Did you think you’d succeed?”
He then started unbuttoning his shirt using his hands with distinct knuckles, revealing his strong chest.
Madelyn said, “You…”
As soon as she said one word, Zach leaned forward, parted her legs, and moved his hand downward…
Zach kissed her on the lips passionately and intensely. Just as the passion gradually intensified, the baby’s crying suddenly echoed in the ward. Madelyn thought it was her hallucination.
After half a minute later, she finally realized it was not a hallucination. She pushed Zach off her. Amid passion, she panted, saying, “I need to check on the baby now…’
The crying sound echoed at an inopportune moment. It made Zach look gloomy, “Go after we’re done.” Madelyn responded, “No, he still has an IV on him. Just give me a short while! I’ll go check on him now.”
Zach stretched his hand to wipe off the saliva on Madelyn’s lips and said, “You have ten minutes.”
Madelyn nodded.
Zach got up from her. After Madelyn zipped up the zipper on her back, she quickly ran into the room.
Madelyn glanced at the IV drip, relieved that it did not backflow. She sat by the bedside and gently stroked the baby’s chest, “There, there. It’s okay. Are you hungry?”
When the child heard Madelyn’s voice, his crying gradually weakened. She continued saying, “Hold on for a moment…”
Zach casually buttoned up his black shirt. He stood at the door with a cigarette in his hand. He was observing Madelyn’s every move. For some reason, a unique emotion overwhelmed his chest when he saw her busy making milk for the baby. It was a feeling that he had never experienced before.
Madelyn placed the milk bottle near the baby’s mouth, and he immediately stopped crying. But she was still heartbroken when she saw tears in the baby’s eyes.
The three of them looked like a harmonious family. After drinking half of the bottle, the baby started spitting the milk.
Madelyn hurriedly removed the bottle and wiped him clean. She told Zach, 11 Tomorrow, you should replace a nanny to care for him.”
Zach threw away his cigarette and walked toward her. This was his first time feeling curious about a child. He poked the baby’s cheek and said one word, “Ugly.”
