Chapter 110

BLAKE

I watch as Izzy throws the vampire towards me, and I charge at him. He is dead for what he did to my mate and daughter.

I knew I had to kill him.

I needed to get him away from the witch and Izzy, giving Izzy time to kill the witch.

I glance back as I see Izzy running towards the witch, and Allie was running towards Alice, who was crouched down with her arms stretched for Allie to run. Paul was in wolf form, killing everything that came near them.

I knew she was safe.

Drake was fighting some vampires and had Anya and Archer behind him. He was protecting them.

I notice movement to the side of me; as I glance, I realize the lead vampire was standing. I move quickly and step right in front of him.

I growl loud.

“MOVE,” he hisses.

I stand my ground and snarl back at him, not saying anything to him. I can feel my anger surge within everything these idiots have done to us all. But what they caused for my mate and family was unforgivable.

The vampire walks to the side, but I follow every inch of his movements. I moved when he did. He gets pissed and lunges at me, but I flip him over my shoulder and straddle his body, using my strength to hold him in place.

Axel growls inside and comes forward to join me; the vampire’s eyes widen. “You are as one,” he says in between gasps.

I smirk, but Axel talks. “You’re a dead vampire,” he says with a snarl. But the vampire moves fast and uses his legs to shift us off him.

We stumble and land on our side, but we charge towards him, but he runs towards where the witch and Izzy are.

I run after him and use our speed as we catch him quickly.

Axel changes our hands into his claws. We jump and land on his back, and he hisses out as our claws connect to his skin. We flipped him over, facing us; we growled loudly. But a piercing scream cuts me off screaming coming from the side of us.

I look up and notice the flames.

Izzy had the witch in a lock, but I felt a pain in my abdomen. I grunted out but looked down, and there was nothing there.

“Mate,” says Axel. We looked over at her, and she was hurt.

I could feel it, but her eyes connected with mine.

“Mate,” she says in a whisper.

I know it’s both Puna and Izzy, as their eyes glow green. I use my alpha aura and let it run through me, using our mate bond to ensure she has more power.

“NO,” hisses the vampire underneath me.

I wrap my claws around his neck and let the claws sink into his neck; with a few seconds, I pull out his throat. I slowly move away from the dead vampire, but I can feel the heat to the side of me. I glance up and notice a fireball swirling, but screaming is coming from within it.

I move towards it, but I hear another scream. I stop in my tracks and glance to the side when I notice a vampire trying to grab hold of Allie. Alice was fighting with a rogue, and Paul was fighting another. They were outnumbered.

Allie sees me and runs towards me.

I glanced at where Izzy and the witch were, and the fire was massive. I noticed Lena; she looks on but has a worried look on her face. She looks around but screams as she runs. “EVERYONE RUN.”

The fire was more vigorous and even more extensive now. I need to protect Allie. I promised Izzy I would.

I ran straight to her and grabbed her, but the fire exploded. I jumped into action. Allie ran into my arms, but I moved Allie down onto the ground and placed my body over her, making sure she was entirely underneath my body to protect her from the flames.

I kept my head down, but I could feel the fire hit my back as it burned my flesh, but I gritted my teeth through the pain; I needed to protect my daughter. I didn’t want her to know I was in pain.

Allie’s breath hits my chest as I feel her whimper underneath me.

My flesh burns my sense of smell, and I can’t move.

After a few moments, the cold air hits my back with everything. I moved up and to the side and looked down. Blue eyes greeted me, looking up at me.

“Daddy,” Allie says.

I smile at her.

I feel weak suddenly, but I need to get her to safety.

I look around us as everyone slowly moves and gets up from the ground, where they all hit hard by the fire. Others were coming back from the forest.

I move slowly to my feet as Allie gets to her feet. She looks out, but she searches the ground. I glanced up and noticed all the dead bodies that were on the ground. Most were already dead, but it was hard to work out who was who, what was a vampire, to what was a werewolf.

“MUMMY,” she yells.

I looked up and noticed there was no one around. Well, no one that was alive.

I walk, and I can feel Axel in my head, but we both are in pain. I know we have burns on our back, but I need to know that Izzy’s alright.

The pain in my abdomen was not there anymore, which was worrying me.

I follow Allie as I stumble on my feet; she moves into the field.

“MUMMY!” she screams again, searching everywhere.

I hobble behind her as the pain in my back increases, but the pain is less of my worries as I glance around the field, but something caught my eye.

I walk over to it; as Allie moves in a different direction, I see skin.

My walking turned into running as I moved to the body; there were two bodies.

I stop in my tracks as I hear people coming over to me.

“Mummy,” says Allie as she stands by the side of me.

The one body was burnt to a crisp. But the one lying there had nothing on it.

I step to the body, fall to my knees, and place my hand on her arm. I close my eyes, praying to the moon goddess that she’s alive.

I move the body to see Izzy’s face. I moved Izzy onto her back, not moving, but there was blood on the stomach area.

I glanced towards the face, and there was my mate. She looked like she was sleeping, but she was lying there, not moving.

Someone comes to my side as they kneel beside me; I know who it is. It’s Dale. He checks her pulse, but I can’t help but stare at my mate’s face.

“I have a pulse,” he says; he looks at me.

“Blake, she’s alive,” he says.

I nod, but the pain is too much for me as I feel my body getting heavy.

I collapse right by my mate’s side, and my head hits the ground.

I can hear screaming, but I’m pulled into darkness as my eyes close.

The only face I can see is Izzy’s.
